Uppababy Vista
The UPPAbaby Vista is a full-size convertible stroller that accommodates infants from birth with a bassinet and can be configured to hold a second seat for a sibling. It features a large storage basket, an extendable sun canopy, and is compatible with the Mesa car seat using adapters.
Pros (+)
- Spacious storage basket for groceries and gear
- Smooth ride and easy steering on various terrains
- Compatible with car seats for easy transitions
Cons (−)
- Heavy and bulky, making it hard to lift or transport
- Not ideal for travel due to size
- Some parents report durability issues with gate checking
Why parents like it
Parents appreciate the Vista's large storage basket, which is perfect for all-day outings with multiple children. The smooth steering and ability to handle various terrains are also frequently highlighted.
Common complaints
The weight and size are the most common complaints, especially for parents who need to lift it into cars or navigate public transport. Some parents also express frustration about its suitability for travel, noting it doesn't fit easily into smaller spaces.
Parents who want a reliable stroller for neighborhood walks and all-day outings. The tradeoff is its size and weight, which can be cumbersome for travel.
The UPPAbaby Vista is a solid choice for parents needing a versatile stroller, but its bulkiness and weight may deter those looking for a travel-friendly option.

Haha I thought the same for the Vista!!! Not what I would classify as a “travel stroller”, but I’ve definitely seen people say they’ve taken their vista traveling and recommended it to others.
Thread: "The 25 most recommend travel strollers according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jul 2025)"
Unpopular opinion since the Uppa baby vista is rated at #2. I hated that stroller. Sure is it the Cadillac of strollers with a smooth ride. Yes. But it’s so big, bulky, cumbersome, navigating it through busy areas or even just the amount of trunk space it takes up was not worth it, imo. It seems more of a status symbol at this point. We ended up with #14 the baby jogger city mini. It’s a beautiful compact full size stroller that is easy to handle and even easier to handle solo. I used it many times flying solo with my little one all the way up to the gate. I could hold him and still fold the stroller one handed. It moves well, is compact, and easy to navigate through crowds. My only complaint is the seat is a little big for small babies so use and insert or car seat adapter, and the seat does sit rather far back but my kid doesn’t mind. We’ll be using it again with #2
Thread: "Minu review?"
I have the minu and the vista. Both are great strollers, but the Minu is a fancy compact umbrella stroller. I typically use the minu for travelling and trips out to stores or the mall. For trails and walking outside, I definitely still lug the vista. The wheels are larger and it handles turns much better. I find with the Minu if I turn too quickly I can tip the whole stroller over. The wheels on the minu are much smaller so they don’t really do too well in the snow either, and it’s much lower to the ground so I would stick to indoors in the winter time.
Thread: "Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON]"
omg get this. in the last 18 months i have been on 15 flights and accompanying trips with this stroller. i am writing this from europe where it has been basically offroading and doing cobblestone streets daily. it is a beast. we literally strapped our kid's carseat to the back of it with bungee cords to avoid carrying the carseat around the airport. we have TESTED this thing - and it's amazing. you will NOT regret it! i have an uppababy vista v2 that lives in my garage for neighbourhood walks, but this one folds up so easily and so small and so it lives in my suv trunk for the mall, zoo, museums, library etc etc etc. i use it CONSTANTLY. my kiddo loves it, it's super comfy and has a big canopy and a deep pocket on the back of the seat perfect for a few diapers, wipes and his water bottle.

Same with the Uppa Vista. We have it, and it's very nice, but man that thing is not small at all.
Thread: "Is Joolz stroller good for nyc?"
Love the Joolz Aer. I've put in hundreds of miles with it and it's still going strong. I keep waiting for the wheels to eventually wear down. I carry it up and down subway stairs, take it on the bus, etc. Someone had given us a much heavier duty Uppa Baby stroller that we used like three times then never again because we found the Joolz so much more manageable.
Thread: "Travel Stroller Help!"
Butterfly has been great for us! We have traveled with it across the US, in Europe, and in Southeast Asia and it holds up everywhere we go. It fits in the overhead and one time we even put it under the seat in front of us on a US domestic Jet Blue flight because the overhead bins were those tiny ones a 1-2 jumper plane (although I will say the more you travel, the less you want your stroller with you in the cabin). We’ve used it on cobblestone streets in Europe and literally dragged it on beaches in California. It’s really narrow so navigates tight spaces well. We can also carry it - even now with our two yr old in it - when there are just a few stairs to navigate. It does occasionally get stuck on a lip, so you need to apply pressure on the handle as you are driving it (I say this bc our normal strolled is the Vista, and you can basically run that thing over a snowbank with a single finger it drives so easily). Also, recline has been fine for us. We traveled at 4 mos with my daughter and she napped in it fully reclined even though it wasn’t flat. Now that she’s two, recline is more than enough. She mostly sleeps in it sitting fully upright as we are walking around. Easy to close and open, but you have to get used to pushing the button and flicking the wrist to open. Also, tons of space underneath. We regularly put the pack n play and or a very large duffle bag underneath when we travel.
Thread: "Any parents using a Travel stroller for everyday use?"
If I could do it over, I would first invest in a good travel stroller first. We use the ergo baby metro +. Small enough to fit in the over head compartment of planes, can lay completely flat (so no need for newborn inserts) and compatible with our Nuna pipa car seat with an adapter. We also have the uppa baby vista and I only use it on walks as it stays in our garage. While it’s high quality, it’s too heavy and bulky to put in the car to go the supermarket, dinner or travel with .
Thread: "Travel stroller decision fatigue - help wanted!"
I also think you will use your vista less and less for car trips once you discover the minu v3. Unless you are using the vista for both kids. I have the cruz but I am obsessed with the minu v3. fyi the minu v2 does not lie flat and the basket is much smaller in case you see the older model for sale.
Thread: "Any parents using a Travel stroller for everyday use?"
We had the Uppababy Vista and got rid of it and use our Uppababy Minu as our main stroller. It’s lightweight and nearly full featured. We’re always in and out of the car. It’s perfect for suburban life.
Thread: "The 25 most recommend travel strollers according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jul 2025)"
This is really cool! But I wouldn’t have split the Joolz Aer and the Joolz Aer +. The plus is the newest model, you can’t buy the Joolz Aer anymore. They aren’t two separate strollers actively available for purchase you can choose between. I noticed you didn’t have the original Vista or Cruz and only the V2 listed for example. I assume that not everyone said V2 for those as so it’s kind of the same thing. Really cool research!
Thread: "Minu review?"
Thanks for the advice! I am also looking at the Cruz, which I think might be a good in- between option.
Thread: "Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on]"
Just to add in a Canadian option.. I just bought the Guzzie & Guss Oxygen v2 and it seems comparable to all these other travel strollers and it’s designed in Canada (Vancouver company). They’re manufactured overseas, but at least the company is local and privately owned. I’m so far impressed with all the features! I like the magnetic buckle, magnetic peekaboo window, good coverage sunshade. The wheels also have a suspension. The only thing that sucks on these travel strollers is the handlebar isn’t height adjustable. It’s a little too high for me. I’d consider it rugged enough for most indoor every day use. You’d want something bigger for heavy outdoor use or carrying stuff. We have a Vista and I love the giant storage basket for groceries.

100% with you on the Vista. For those whose definition of “travel” is “fits in the back of a station wagon”. I would t want to lift that thing over my head or have to carry it up and down stairs in a subway
Thread: "Minu v2/joolz/nuna for car/travel"
I watched a ton of YouTube videos and decided on the minu2 as well for car and travel. We also got a vista2 on Black Friday. I am really happy that I'll be able to use the bassinet on both. I also plan on using a Nuna car seat so I'll have to keep two sets of adapters but I don't mind.

Summer 3d infant lite is our backup (Vista v2 is our main go to.) great to gate check (we've done a number of intl trips with it now, most recently to Sweden) and sturdy enough that we don't worry it'll get handled aggressively. 10/10 would buy it again
Thread: "Drowning in the world of strollers - help!!!! 🌸"
Check out your local marketplace too - and look at travel prams. Sometimes you’ll pick up a good bargain- but some recommend not til bubba is (x) months old or 7kgs (from memory). They fold up reasonably small, some are even carry-on overhead compatible. A friend has a bugaboo butterfly and it’s amazing if you wanted to buy new with good resale value. I was tossing up between it and the new dragonfly after borrowing an Uppa Vista. I landed on the dragonfly because it could lay somewhat flat and the seat was reversible. It’s by no means as small as the butterfly, and is almost double the price but lightweight enough that I can fold it down and pick it up while still holding an 8kg babe. I even strap her in and push her around the house when I’m trying to do housework and it’s narrow enough to get around corridors easily
Thread: "Gate checking stroller - bag or no bag?"
Always bag. It’s some protection, and will keep it dry if it rains and just clean in general. We also have Uppababy strollers and their travel bags, which when all registered with them means if there’s damage when you use the bag, they will replace the damaged part. We got a new toddler seat for our vista after it was damaged when gate checked. I also think it’s easier to carry the stroller down the jet bridge in its case with a nice strap, rather then try and pull and push all the bags and what not as well as a stroller.

I was going to post this too. It's enormous. It's great and well made, but no way I'm bringing this on an airplane or lugging it around a foreign city. We bought a Graco fold up that fits in an overhead compartment. Frankly, I keep that one in my car and use it around town as I just can't be bothered to dismantle a Vista every time I put it in the trunk. The Vista stays in our garage for walks from home. Or my wife uses it around town.
Thread: "Travel Stroller Opinion [on]"
The Ergobaby definitely has one of the bigger baskets for a travel stroller! I have the Deluxe which is expandable for a touch more space. I actually find it rides pretty smoothly for its size. I keep it in the trunk of my car and it takes no room at all. I love this stroller a a lot. Our full size is the Uppababy Vista
Thread: "The 25 most recommend travel strollers according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jul 2025)"
Yeah, I don’t think anyone would consider the Uppababy vista as a travel stroller. It’s considered a full-size stroller. I have the babyzen yoyo and we got that as. Travel stroller because it’s super light and fits in the airplane cabin. I have a Nuna that’s similar in size to the Uppababy and it takes up half my trunk
Thread: "Travel Stroller Help!"
We have the Joolz Aer and debated all the ones you were considering. It has fit in the overhead bin for us without issue. The bottom basket isn’t huge, but I think it’s better than the YoYo if I’m remembering right. We put a diaper bag down there, so it’s at least useable. I thought the upright position of the YoYo was a bit too reclined as well. Ultimately the dealbreaker was that my husband found the Joolz to be most comfortable and to use (he’s 6’4). Other things we like about the Joolz: very lightweight, one-hand fold is super easy, great warranty. When we’re home, we keep it in our trunk for quick trips out to the mall, etc. and keep our Uppababy Vista for neighborhood walks.

Ergobaby Metro+. We took this to Rome last fall and it held up incredibly well with all of the cobblestones. We have an Uppababy Vista as our main stroller which is amazing but a tank. The Ergobaby Metro+ well built and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a primary stroller if you need something that is good for both every day and travel.

Obsessed with my Bugaboo Butterfly. Wish I had never bought our Uppababy Vista and started with it! We took both kids (8 month old sitting in stroller, 3.5 year old sitting on wheeled board) to the aquarium last Saturday in the snow and it was not perfect to push but still doable (10-15 minute walk outside to the subway from our house). Highly recommend.

Thread: "Travel stroller decision fatigue"
Uppababy Vista V2 and GB Pockit, has been the perfect pairing for us. The Vista is exceptional, rolls effortlessly, steers perfectly, I have zero function complaints, it is amazing for longer walks, full day activities, really stuff intensive activities etc, but it’s 29lbs and big, not good in small stores or when you’re in and out of the car a bunch. The GB Pockit feels like it’s going to break 100% of the time (it won’t break but it feels terrible) it has a ton of flexibility built into the frame to protect it from itself, the handles are too short, the sun shade is nearly pointless, the straps/buckles are obnoxious, but all of that doesn’t matter when you collapse it down to the size of a postage stamp and chuck it in an overhead bin, or under a restaurant table, or the footwell of a car in front of the car seat. And at 9 lbs you can justify bringing it anywhere. Very very rarely I wish I had a middle ground, but a middle ground stroller would suck at being the leisure barge Vista, and it would suck at being the micro machine weapon Pockit. Middle ground is a permanent compromise, kinda annoying 100% of the time. Having the two extremes of the spectrum they annoy me 15% of the time. You forgive the Vista for being big because it’s so smooth and effortless, you forgive the Pockit for being wobbly and flexible because it’s so small and light. I realize this doesn’t speak to the question exactly, but maybe I can suggest looking at the decision with a philosophical approach. What do you want it to achieve? And are those goals best met with one option or different options? I don’t wear the same shoes for all activities and as such the same stroller isn’t ideal for all activities. So just pick the one that covers 80% of what you need most, and forgive it for sucking at the other 20%. Or pick a couple that cover the greatest spread with having the least overlap.
Thread: "Minu vs. Yoyo for airplane/cruise"
We have a vista and minu and it is 100% worth it for travel. Check Facebook marketplace, I see them for sale pretty often in my area.
Thread: "Minu review?"
I have the Minu and BabyJogger City Mini GT. I live in a condo downtown Toronto and had many considerations for this. I needed one hand fold, easy storage, and very lightweight. The Minu is leaps and bounds better for indoors, sidewalks, travel weight, quality of materials, and accessories. However if using in the snow or any other terrain except flat ground it is a waste of time. The City Mini GT is great for heavy outdoor use however when using adapters for another brands infant seat (which you will have to with the Mesa and you need an infant seat attached to it under a certain weight) it sticks really bad and you can’t get the seat off without a struggle. It also needs to be stored horizontally or it will fall down but not going to get into my gripes with it. If I were to do it all again, I’d get the Cruz or a Nuna stroller (as I have a Nuna Pipa). I am not having 2 under 2 so I don’t need the double stroller of the Vista. I know friends who have used the Minu as their main stroller from birth with the kit, but for anywhere with snow it’s a hard pass.
Thread: "Is Joolz stroller good for nyc?"
Love the Joolz Aer 2 for the city. It’s great for getting in and out of all stores/restaurants, yet still sturdy enough for imperfect sidewalks or gravel paths in Central Park. If I’m going out with my infant only, I’ll always choose the Joolz. That said, if I’m planning on spending a long day outside with both my infant and my 5 year old, I’ll opt for my Uppababy Vista, as I can put everything I could possibly need for the day (e.g., diaper bag, water bottles for everyone, my 5 yo’s soccer ball, the sweatshirts we’ll need in the morning but eventually throw off in the afternoon, etc), in the basket of the Vista. That’s not possible with the Joolz.
Thread: "[ON] Lightweight/travel stroller recommendations please"
Haha you sound just like us!! We also got the Mesa 😂 fortunately the Vista will be good in winter (whereas I don't think the Minu would be) so hopefully we actually go out in winter... But I'm glad someone else got the Vista and is still getting a second stroller! Makes me feel better about myself.

Do you find much difference in the ability to push or maneuver the Joolz vs the Vista? Another user mentioned that although the Joolz suspension is comparable to a full size, the maneuvering is more difficult
Thread: "Joolz “travel” stroller as main stroller?"
I have both the Joolz Aer and the Vista Cruz. I’ve used the Cruz the first two years of my son’s life and after covid we decided to get a travel stroller to go traveling with. We got ours for 40% off when BBB was closing. But I really love it. Haven’t touched the Cruz since we’ve gotten it except once. It’s soooo bulky and heavy compared to the Joolz. We went to Disney world and Disney land. My son is 4 and we use it for when we go in town, mall, museums, airports, farmers market, etc. I went traveling with my son alone recently and you really can maneuver the stroller with one hand. In crowded places, it’s easy to weave in and out compared to the bulky Vista. You can collapse it with one hand too which I don’t think you can do with some other travel strollers. Also one hand open, with practice. My son still fits the stroller. It is made for taller babies and up to 50lbs. I plan to take it to Alaska with us next year as well when is 5. Sometimes the mechanism to open does get stuck but other than the price, which I think it pays for itself, we have no other complaints.
Thread: "Joolz “travel” stroller as main stroller?"
I mean yes the uppababy vista is more of an SUV of a stroller (and it’s also huge) so good if you’re spending the whole day out with the baby etc. or going on bumpy roads. But already my 7 month old won’t nap in the stroller so spending the whole day out isn’t a reality anymore. With my Joolz aer - we take walks in the garden in it, she’s always travelled a bunch in it, when we are away from home she eats her meals in it, it’s her comfy place

Thread: "GB pockit stroller"
We have the GB Pockit and live in a big city (in Japan). I have mixed feelings. Pros: Great size, weight, folds up easy for transport (when going in taxis, on long haul trains). Right width for fitting through ticket gates. I have carried a toddler on my hip and carried the stroller folded in my other hand! Cons: Kinda wish it was a regular umbrella stroller for easier folding for quick train rides (like going a couple stops). I feel like it doesn’t sit my kid upright enough. My husband doesn’t like how it handles compared to our Uppababy Vista, which I agree with, but I find that less annoying.
Thread: "GB pockit stroller"
How is the Vista on public transit? We have the silver cross jet. It's great in airports and downtown but not in our neighborhood with busted sidewalks. Edit: nvm I meant the Cruz.
Thread: "Minu v2/joolz/nuna for car/travel"
We love our Minu v2 so much. It’s a great option for short trips that involve a car and mostly smooth pavement. We use it for appointments, shopping and travel. The Vista v2 is used for proper walks and/or all day non-car based trips. The Minu is really nimble for restaurants or appointments where you don’t want a giant stroller taking up all of the space. It’s not brilliant imo for going on an exercise or fresh air type of walk. A Cruz or Vista will be more enjoyable, however we use our Minu as a city stroller in Edinburgh (depending on the route) and London and it’s very good. I think the YoYo or Joolz might be slightly better for the tube, but I wasn’t about to splash out for a couple weeks a year. We added the bassinet and the Minu really shines with this. It’s probably our most used piece of gear and totally worth it if you are eager to leave the house often. For the car seat we have the aria and it’s nice to be able to click it into the frame without an adapter. I *think* you need adapters for the Minu to use the Aria and the bassinet, but they’re small and fold down nicely. I haven’t seen the V3 in person, but I don’t love it from what I’ve seen in videos. The extra hinge looks like you’ll lose some of the sturdiness that the v2 has going for it. Also it’s kind of pointless because you’re almost certainly going to be asked to gate check, so I’d prefer to have a slightly wider folded stroller that has fewer moving parts to potentially loosen up. The flatter recline is tempting, but isn’t enough of a selling point for me. Also we love the travel bag system that UB has. Our Minu bag is really easy to use at the airport so I don’t mind gate checking.

THIS! LOVvvve our bugaboo butterfly. also regret spending on bunch on the uppababy visa.
Thread: "Joolz aer+ as primary stroller?"
We've been using it as our primary stroller along with Nuna adapters bfor2 year old. When our baby was younger, I generally preferred to use the Tushbaby when we went out. My wife and I aren't outdoorsy people in so our use case matches yours exactly. Pros: Size and weight, easy to fold, easy to maneuver. Cons: small basket, small wheels. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are in nature or lead a more active lifestyle, but for suburban use it's perfect. A lot of people in this price range gravitate towards the Uppababy Vista or the like and that was my wife when we were shopping. However once I had my wife try to lift the Vista in the store she realized the Aer was the way to go.
Thread: "[ON] Travelling with baby - counter checking stroller "
Yeah I gate checked my Vista last year. It was easy. We had the travel bag, so we did have to take two of the wheels off in order for it to go into the bag (which is what you’re supposed to do) so that was annoying. But we got it back and didn’t see any damage. We’re flying next month as well and will be gate checking it again. We were also in premium seating and the stroller was on the ramp waiting for us as we were getting off the plane, along with a bunch of other strollers. Super quick!
Thread: "[ON] Travelling with baby - counter checking stroller "
I recently just flew with air Canada and also have a vista and a travel bag. We gate checked because my baby will not go in a carrier. Our vista was snapped in 2 and I’m stuck chasing down my claim of 2 weeks with Air Canada. Highly recommend bringing a travel stroller.
Thread: "Best travel stroller for Europe"
I would strongly suggest not using your car seat on the airplane at that age. Just make sure they have their own seat and bring a blow up thing that goes between the edge of the seat/the back of the seat I front of you. It basically creates a bed for the kiddo. I also suggest the Minu. It’s gotten us through Europe. The Uppa Baby car seat also fits into it with adapter things you can buy separately.

Just a preference thing, I guess. I use the bassinet attachment for the Vista all the time. It seems comfier to be able to stretch out flat. My oldest does not nap sitting up. I’ve encountered some long layovers when it was just myself and my husband, so having a space where both kids could sleep if needed without needing to lug another item around seems ideal.
