UPPAbaby Minu V3

The UPPAbaby Minu V3 is a lightweight, compact stroller designed for easy maneuverability and convenience. It features a one-hand fold, an extendable sun canopy, and is compatible with UPPAbaby car seats.

Pros (+)

  • Lightweight and easy to maneuver
  • Newborn-ready with wrap-around attachment
  • Compact fold for travel

Cons (−)

  • Incompatible with previous bassinet attachment
  • Less versatile than older models
  • Some features may feel limited

Why parents like it

The Minu V3 is praised for its lightweight design and ease of use, making it ideal for parents on the go. Many appreciate the new wrap-around attachment that allows it to be used from birth.

Common complaints

A notable concern is the design change that makes it incompatible with the bassinet attachment, which some parents relied on. Additionally, a few parents mentioned that the stroller feels less versatile compared to previous models.

Best for

Parents looking for a lightweight stroller that’s easy to carry and store. However, you may need to compromise on some features available in earlier models.

Bottom line

The Minu V3 is great for those needing a compact stroller, but the loss of bassinet compatibility may be a dealbreaker for some.

I contacted UPPAbaby about the use of bassinet with Minu V3 and they said the stroller by itself is from birth so they removed the option of adding the bassinet to it. So, the only option for adding a bassinet is getting V2. But I read V3 is easier to push around.

Thread: "Anyone considering the new uppababy minu v3 for a newborn?"

I’ve got the original minu which I used HEAVILY as my primary stroller for my now 4 yo. I’ve got a baby due in March and am planning on getting the v3 if it launches in time (otherwise I’ll just use a car seat in a cady for the first few months and revert to our old minu once this kid is big enough). FWIW I had the vista as well but gave it away because we found ourselves only using the minu

I have the joolz aer+ and am considering selling it for the minu v3 because of the larger basket. The aer doesn’t even hold my daily diaper bag. The basket is so small. I’m excited for the v3 improvements and it would be great as your only stroller because you can get a snack tray and other accessories for it. You might easily get a bassinet 2nd hand for cheap or use the car seat for newborn. Sidewalks in my neighborhood are not that smooth so the bassinet did not feel secure enough for the newborn. She actually hated it while strolling, but loved it in the house for taking her from room to room. We used the car seat in the stroller more than the bassinet which gave good shock absorption , but it was nice to have both.

I think you’re right - we too used the bassinet with our Minu v2 and loved it, but what I’m seeing online says that the design change of the v3 makes it no longer compatible with the bassinet attachment, which is a shame! Supposedly the recline and “newborn nest” features on the v3 are the replacement for using a bassinet.

Also, the Minu V3, at least in the US version, has a wrap around attachment thing to make it newborn ready with side protectors like a bassinet!
