We use the Uppababy Minu V2 as our main (and only) stroller, and it's great! We used it with the bassinet attachment instead of a car seat during the newborn days, but you can get adapters for a lot of different car seats (including Nuna) to use with it. ETA: It's definitely not the smallest stroller, but it's comparable in size to the Nuna TRVL.

I also think you will use your vista less and less for car trips once you discover the minu v3. Unless you are using the vista for both kids. I have the cruz but I am obsessed with the minu v3. fyi the minu v2 does not lie flat and the basket is much smaller in case you see the older model for sale.

Minu v2 is our best friend. Not $600 but it is $400 so still pricey

I just got the Uppababy Minu V3 as my travel stroller. However it’s quite expensive. I would recommend trying local marketplace for the Minu V2. Some people may be trying to upgrade!

Use the minu v2 as the only stroller. Plenty of room in my Honda civic trunk. I am petite too and have no problems with it. The basket is on the smaller side , it is hard for me to put my bulky diaper bag in it. Otherwise solid stroller.
Thread: "Parents who travel a lot- is gate checking a stroller a pain?"
Technically our travel stroller could fit in the overhead but we’ve gate checked it every time. Very easy and has always come up quick. Like if we were sitting just behind the exit row, our bag was on the jetbridge by the time we deplaned. Just make sure you’re getting a pink tag to confirm it’ll come back to you in the jet bridge and NOT at baggage claim. We have a Minu V2 and put it in the uppababy travel bag. The bag was expensive but it’s basically an insurance that uppababy will fix/replace the stroller for any damage while flying. Had to do that once (frame got bent, was usable but wanted it fixed) and uppababy was great!

We live in NYC and use the minu v2 as our only stroller!

I bought it in the winter, so it’s the V2. For most people it probably is a one handed fold. I just went over to fold my stroller because I could have sworn it wasn’t 1 handed. Then I watched a YT video to see someone fold it. Yes, definitely one handed for most people. I hadn’t realised that because I’m short and have lower grip strength so I use two hands to activate the fold mechanism and two hands to pull it into standing shape. Nbd because it’s such an easy stroller to fold and unfold. Thanks for pointing this out. Stroller shopping research is hard enough, so I wouldn’t want to put poor info out there. 🙂

We also have the Uppababy Minu V2 as our main stroller and love it. There were times where I wanted to get a more heavy duty stroller though because our sidewalk pavement isn’t the smoothest. We have a small car so it was important for us to get one that’s compact when it folds.

Ergobaby metro plus- it has a full recline and folds up tiny. Much more affordable than butterfly or minu. If you don’t have one, get a snooze shade (available on Amazon) for naps on the go!

Honestly, same with the minu V2 and V3. They're really not that different.

We have the Minu and have used it as our primary stroller in Europe. Not the best in winter conditions but overall it’s been a really great stroller!

Absolutely LOVING my Uppababy Minu V2. Light, can recline, can use a bucket with adapters, large sun shade, easy fold.

Our Minu v1 was about $580, but I’ve seen them go used for under $400

Just took our 13 month old around SE Asia and used the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - was flawless. We had previously purchased the minu v2 and returned it for a few reasons. Happy to answer specifics.
Thread: "Ergobaby Metro Plus vs Uppababy Minu"
I feel like I could have written this! I have the Thule for running/off roading and I was literally just going back and forth between the metro+ and the minu for the car/shopping. I ended up getting the minu v2 new and I absolutely love it, fwiw. I ended up going for the minu because it has slightly better reviews, I trust uppababy as a brand and I figured the resale value on it would be better when we’re done with it eventually. From what I’ve heard though, the metro+ is a great stroller so personally I would buy that new to an older used minu just because I’ve been burned by buying a used stroller off marketplace before. At least buying new you can presumably return if it turns out you don’t like it. Also ergobaby sends you a 15% off code when you sign up for texts that does apply to the metro+ and free shipping if you order from their site vs somewhere else fyi. You can just opt out of the promo texts once you get the code 😌
Thread: "Best travel stroller for Europe"
I have the Uppababy Minu V2 and love it. I think it checks most of the boxes you list above and the new Minu V3 looks even lighter and more compact. I thought the Uppababy mesa car seat (that you can clip onto the Minu) was usable in Europe, but I didn’t try it myself. The other compact stroller we looked at was the YoYo and when we went to Paris I saw Yoyo strollers everywhere so you could check that out too.
Thread: "Minu v2/joolz/nuna for car/travel"
We love our Minu v2 so much. It’s a great option for short trips that involve a car and mostly smooth pavement. We use it for appointments, shopping and travel. The Vista v2 is used for proper walks and/or all day non-car based trips. The Minu is really nimble for restaurants or appointments where you don’t want a giant stroller taking up all of the space. It’s not brilliant imo for going on an exercise or fresh air type of walk. A Cruz or Vista will be more enjoyable, however we use our Minu as a city stroller in Edinburgh (depending on the route) and London and it’s very good. I think the YoYo or Joolz might be slightly better for the tube, but I wasn’t about to splash out for a couple weeks a year. We added the bassinet and the Minu really shines with this. It’s probably our most used piece of gear and totally worth it if you are eager to leave the house often. For the car seat we have the aria and it’s nice to be able to click it into the frame without an adapter. I *think* you need adapters for the Minu to use the Aria and the bassinet, but they’re small and fold down nicely. I haven’t seen the V3 in person, but I don’t love it from what I’ve seen in videos. The extra hinge looks like you’ll lose some of the sturdiness that the v2 has going for it. Also it’s kind of pointless because you’re almost certainly going to be asked to gate check, so I’d prefer to have a slightly wider folded stroller that has fewer moving parts to potentially loosen up. The flatter recline is tempting, but isn’t enough of a selling point for me. Also we love the travel bag system that UB has. Our Minu bag is really easy to use at the airport so I don’t mind gate checking.
Thread: "Joolz Aer2 vs. Minu V3"
Tbh how much the weight matters has to do with what your travel is like. For us, lifting is pretty minimal using cars, taxis, trains and planes and gate checking on planes. Travel bus would be more lifting. We sprung for the travel bag for the Minu V2 and just gate check it. So the only lifting is in and out of the car. Pick up the gate check tag when we get to the gate, kid stays in the stroller till we get close to the end of the jet bridge and then we pack it in the bag and leave it. If we wanted to pack it up earlier the bag has backpack straps.
Thread: "Looking for travel and quick errand stroller. Uppababy Minu v2 or nuna trvl?"
Go for one you can put in the overhead on a plane. Tried the Yoyo2, Bugaboo Ant and Bugaboo Butterfly. They all fit. Most airlines recognize the yoyo and allows it without asking any questions. The Ant is the best imo, bought it for a trip but ended up using it full time instead of our fullsize (unless you’re gonna encounter rough terrain). And its the only one of the three you can use both front and rear facing
