- Large storage basket for essentials
Cons (−)

- Bulky for travel and public transport
- Some find it heavy to lift and maneuver
Why parents like it
The Cruz is praised for its durability and ability to handle off-road conditions, making it a reliable choice for city walks and travel. Parents also appreciate the reversible seat, allowing them to keep an eye on their little ones.
Common complaints
The price is a significant concern, with several parents feeling it is too expensive for what it offers. Additionally, some find it bulky and challenging to transport, especially in tight spaces or on public transport.
Parents who need a sturdy stroller for city walks and occasional travel. The tradeoff is its weight and price, which may be a drawback for those seeking a more compact option.
The UPPAbaby Cruz is a dependable stroller for active families, but its high cost and bulk may not suit everyone.

Thread: "Parents with toddlers-looking for some advice!"
I have no advice, just severe admiration for your existing set up! Maybe just an encouragement to go with the bigger stroller, where you can put both kids and most of your stuff. I have been traveling with my 2,5 year old by plane to my parents place every 2-3 months (did not need to bring car seat) and considered my Uppababy Cruz a backbone of my mobility. My son can do onebagging now, but when he was 1-2, he was so heavy to carry and needed so many things, that I would travel with a small backpack for essentials and a roller bag that would fit under my stroller (love the Uppababy space). I would push him around the airport in the stroller, check the stoller in at the gate and then, when the aiport inevitably decided to deliver the stroller with regular luggage, I would drive my son through the airport on the roller suitcase (I was always very carefull), instead of having to carry him and all of our stuff. If I manage to have a second kid, I plan to do the same, just add a piggy bag attachment for the stroller for my older one.
Thread: "Travel stroller decision fatigue - help wanted!"
I know lots of people that have only the minu (in this case the minu v2 because v3 is new) and they love it! But for me since I take a lot of walks around my city from my house I want my infant parent facing. That's why my cruz was more of my work horse because I used the infant insert and could put my newborn in it facing me. The minu V3 is infant approved with the lie flat but you can't do it parent facing (that's like all travel strollers) unless you click in a car seat but I don't like my newborn being a car seat for my long walks. So that is the reason why I have 2 strollers. Now that I have a toddler it's no problem which way they are facing and the minu v3 lives in my car for all the out of the house activities, errands, etc and for the road trips and plane travel. My cruz is ready to go in my garage for the local park, coffee shops, walks, etc
Thread: "Is Joolz stroller good for nyc?"
The Joolz Aer has a bassinet attachment that still allows the stroller to fold up.
Thread: "Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on]"
No compact / travel stroller will be great in snow (even my uppababy cruz isn't), but it's fine in a thin layer of snow on a shoveled sidewalk or parking lot!
Thread: "Pros and Cons of Nuna TRVL?"
Oh yes, understood! To clarify, the TRVL would be our travel stroller. We plan on getting an Uppababy Cruz 3 for our full stroller.
Thread: "Uppababy Cruz vs Babyzen Yoyo+"
I haven’t used BabyZen, but the benefits of a full size stroller for us were that the wheels are better and bigger in my opinion, which helped with walks on less even terrain. We really love the UPPABaby Cruz, it’s been amazing for air travel, especially considering their travel bag that comes with insurance for the stroller. All in all, see if you can actually go and look at the strollers you like. Cruz has an adjustable handle that extends for shorter/taller person which we used a great deal. It can also stand on its own when in folded position. Also, what I really really love is that you can put bassinett/seat forward or towards the parent- not all strollers have that I think. Oh, also Cruz has a huge sun visor which was super useful, especially with a younger baby.
Thread: "Double stroller recommendations (We don't have a car)"
Agree with this- we got the Valco baby slim twin. Baby is 8 weeks old and the seats convert to a bassinet style so it’s good from newborn onward (with an infant insert). Took it out for the first time this last week and it was great! We also have an uppababy Cruz and I used the bassinet on that or the toddler seat and babywear. I find baby wearing less comfortable for long walks though.
Thread: "Need recommendations for a reliable travel stroller for flying with baby [on]"
I haven’t taken mine on any trips outside of to the grocery store, malls, quick walks, etc. but I absolutely love this stroller! I still use my Cruz for longer walks and when we have snow but the Butterfly is just so easy, lightweight, and smoooooth 😍
Thread: "Minu review?"
If I could do over again, I would get the minu and the Cruz.
Thread: "Minu review?"
Thanks for the advice! I am also looking at the Cruz, which I think might be a good in- between option.

Thread: "The 25 most recommend travel strollers according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jul 2025)"
This is really cool! But I wouldn’t have split the Joolz Aer and the Joolz Aer +. The plus is the newest model, you can’t buy the Joolz Aer anymore. They aren’t two separate strollers actively available for purchase you can choose between. I noticed you didn’t have the original Vista or Cruz and only the V2 listed for example. I assume that not everyone said V2 for those as so it’s kind of the same thing. Really cool research!
Thread: "Ergobaby Metro vs Bugaboo Butterfly [bc]"
I have the metro+ as my travel stroller. It is super compact (fits in the backseat footwell of our sedan) and maneuvers well. The basket is pretty small though - it can barely fit the diaper bag and that's it. Personally I wouldn't use this as my stroller if you are planning on grocery shopping with it (my main stroller is an UB Cruz v2). My son is 80+ percentile for height still as a 2 year old and fits on the metro+ with no problem.

On the Cruz v 2 - the Finn colour (and possibly the olive one) apparently did not have the price increase that the other colours did yesterday!

Thread: "Best travel stroller? - been looking at the babyzen Yoyo, uppababy minu, or nuna travl"
My parents bought a Yo-Yo and we’ve used it for travel and love it for that, but it is *not* an all-terrain stroller, it really only works well on concrete or very packed dirt. We have friends who have a Minu and like it a lot but I don’t know about how well it rolls on softer or rougher surfaces. We have a Cruz as our daily and it can definitely manage “off-road” better than the Yo-yo.

I’ve got the ergo baby too and found that while the basket is smaller than my regular Uppababy Cruz, I can sell fit my diaper bag in it. The ergo baby also has a pocket on the back you can put things in as well. The ride must be comfortable enough because my baby slept in it while riding over cobble stones lol
Thread: "Is Joolz stroller good for nyc?"
It's good for day to day, from point A to point B use as with many travel stroller. However, it's best to have a bigger stroller like uppababy Cruz especially during their first year since bigger strollers allow the baby to lie more flat and sleep. It's also much more smooth ride, and big basket for things like grocery or a long outing.

I've been really happy with the Bugaboo Butterfly. It fits really easily in the car, too, so it's been nice as my son gets older and I don't want to haul around the UppaBaby Cruz filling half my truck.
Thread: "Minu vs. Yoyo for airplane/cruise"
We have the Cruz and got the joolz aer and that thing is a freaking godsend. I think that and the yoyo are similar. Tbh it’s like night and day traveling with one vs the other. I don’t even use my Cruz much at home anymore
Thread: "Uppababy Cruz vs Babyzen Yoyo+"
+1 I highly recommend you play with them in person. If you’re in the US, I think buy buy baby carries the Cruz and Neiman Marcus tends to have babyzen YOYO and uppababy minus to play with
Thread: "Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON]"
Thank you for your response! We’re not really going to use it for travel 😅 (although that’s obviously a huge plus if we ever need) but more of an every day stroller now that my daughter is 17 months. We have the Uppababy Cruz and it’s SO heavy, bulky/takes up way too much space in our trunk.. I originally wanted the travel Evenflo Hummingbird but not so sure it would make a good every day stroller. The Metro+ is ALWAYS highly recommended and after some research, I’m like 99% sure I want it but I just feel so guilty/bad that the Cruz was/is such a pricey stroller and the Metro+ is also kind of pricey. If we get the Metro+, we of course won’t be using the Cruz much or at all so it’s kind of like a “waste” if you know what I mean.. 😩
Thread: "Recommendations for best travel strollers?"
We have the Bombi too. It’s nice to not worry about it getting roughly handled during travel since it’s much cheaper than most strollers. Features aren’t as luxe as our regular stroller (UB Cruz) but it doesn’t really bother us for the couple times a year it’s getting used.
Thread: "GB pockit stroller"
How is the Vista on public transit? We have the silver cross jet. It's great in airports and downtown but not in our neighborhood with busted sidewalks. Edit: nvm I meant the Cruz.
Thread: "Is Joolz stroller good for nyc?"
The Joolz Aer is great for paved sidewalks and everyday travel where you don’t need to go over really large bumps or cobblestone pathways. It’s good for playground/library and appts. It folds compact easily and you can bring onto subways and public transport. We have the Bugaboo Butterfly because we liked that the basket underneath was slightly bigger so we could also fit some groceries underneath. What both the bugaboo and the Joolz is NOT good for is the rough terrain of Central Park. We tried it and it was terrible. A lot of the Central Park winding paths have bumpy roads because of the large tree roots so it was such a pain to maneuver. We now take the UPPAbaby Cruz with us when we go to Central Park. Overall, the Joolz is great. We have several friends who have it for travel and use in the city.
Thread: "Travel stroller decision fatigue - help wanted!"
This is off-topic, but we have the Cruz V3 on our registry and I’ve been wondering if it would make any sense to just get the Minu V3 from birth and only have one stroller. It sounds like you have both the Cruz and Minu so figured I’d ask!
Thread: "Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON]"
I know this old but I found this thread because I’m researching the Metro+ and I just want to say what you said about the Cruz is exactly how I feel right now! Baby’s only 10 months old and we loooove the Cruz but need something smaller for a plane ride but I feel oddly guilty for buying another stroller when we already spent so much on the Cruz!
Thread: "Ergobaby metro 3 vs uppababy minu v3"
I have the Ergobaby Metro 3 and I LOVE it. We also have Uppababy Cruz V2 as well which is too big for us. We’ve been using the metro 3 as our every day stroller now and we just took it to Los Cabos for holiday. AirCanada allowed us to put in the over head, it was so amazing on holiday. The big factor for us other than the quality of the stroller was the fact that the price point is so reasonable but it’s really a premium stroller.
Thread: "Minu review?"
I have the Minu and BabyJogger City Mini GT. I live in a condo downtown Toronto and had many considerations for this. I needed one hand fold, easy storage, and very lightweight. The Minu is leaps and bounds better for indoors, sidewalks, travel weight, quality of materials, and accessories. However if using in the snow or any other terrain except flat ground it is a waste of time. The City Mini GT is great for heavy outdoor use however when using adapters for another brands infant seat (which you will have to with the Mesa and you need an infant seat attached to it under a certain weight) it sticks really bad and you can’t get the seat off without a struggle. It also needs to be stored horizontally or it will fall down but not going to get into my gripes with it. If I were to do it all again, I’d get the Cruz or a Nuna stroller (as I have a Nuna Pipa). I am not having 2 under 2 so I don’t need the double stroller of the Vista. I know friends who have used the Minu as their main stroller from birth with the kit, but for anywhere with snow it’s a hard pass.
