Stokke Clikk

The Stokke Clikk is a high chair designed for infants and toddlers, featuring a simple, modern design that is easy to clean. It is made of durable plastic and includes a removable tray for convenience.

Pros (+)

  • Easy to clean with no crevices
  • Lightweight and portable for travel
  • Stylish design fits modern decor

Cons (−)

  • Small tray size may not suit all toddlers
  • Fixed footrest limits comfort as child grows
  • Some parents find it overpriced for the features

Why parents like it

Parents praise the Clikk for its lightweight design and ease of cleaning, making it ideal for messy eaters. The modern look also appeals to those who prefer a stylish addition to their dining area.

Common complaints

Some parents find the tray too small for their growing child, which can be frustrating during mealtime. Others mention that the fixed footrest limits comfort as their child grows.

Best for

Parents who want a modern high chair that is easy to clean and transport. However, the tradeoff is that it may not grow with your child as well as other options.

Bottom line

The Stokke Clikk is a great choice for parents who prioritize design and cleanliness, but be aware of its limitations in adjustability and tray size.

i had a niece who lived with us (it was a shared home bw my fam and my brother). my brother and his wife were always just worked about their little one growing up and all that change. one thing i learned from watching them is that it's usually all much simpler than it seems. in the end they always went with the simplest options and it worked out don't look too deep into it, tho tbh all this is part of the experience and fun to look back on XD as for reccs, [stokke clikk](https://datagrove.vercel.app/?q=1YS7KJ1189) has a great one, durable and the colors are cute

I got the Stokke Clikk for my parents’ house and really like it. Easily disassembled for travel and storage (you can buy a dedicated bag, which works great). Tray is dishwasher safe. Streamline look and comes in some colors. When I was doing research, people complained about the splayed legs bring a tripping hazard. This hasn’t been an issue for us, but is something to be aware of if you’re in a snug space.

The trip trap grows with your child while I don’t think the clikk does.

We got the Stokke Clikk and love it! It’s all plastic (super easy to clean) and the legs are removable, so it’s easy to travel with. It’s currently on sale for under $250 at Snuggle Bugz.

I'm probably in the minority, but I hate high chairs with the legs that protrude like that. They take up a ton more space than they need to and always seem to be in the way. If I had to choose, I'd go with the Clikk just because it seems like it can be taken apart for travelling or storage easily.

Love ours too, for the reasons mentioned! And also because it kind of blends in with the rest of our room (we have the white one). Some high chairs are seriously so ugly…

I really hate how the Tripp Trapp looks, and the price blows my mind haha. They apparently can be found secondhand for cheaper so if you’re into that keep an eye out! Stokke Clikk is my chair of choice! So easy to clean, modern, super simple to assemble, tray is dishwasher safe, and I was able to find it on sale at Buy Buy Baby. I lucked out and they sent us two in one box :)

I feel so shallow but that’s another thing that drew me to the Clikk - I really don’t like the big bulky white plastic looking high chairs, and some of those are expensive too!

Thread: "best high chair recommendations - completely overwhelmed"

Stokke steps hands down. It fits infants and then toddlers and then kids. I even sit in it. And it isn’t as ugly or enormous as the Tripp trap. It looks like a normal chair for my 3 and 5yr old kids. And we still have the baby set, so when we have friends over we just pop that on the top of the toddler chair (takes literally seconds), and have an instant high chair for a baby. The straps are also easily removable and washable! We had the stokke clikk which is amazing for BLW because it’s SO easy to clean. And more affordable than the steps. But they outgrow it by around age 2, so it doesn’t last as long.

We have the stokke clikk, I like it! It’s easy to travel with too, the legs click on and off (family dinners etc). I couldn’t justify the tripp trapp price and I’m glad because by 18 months mine wanted to sit at her little ikea table and chairs like she does at daycare lol.

I'm not sure when you're due but I've seen the Clikk go on sale several times at different retailers in the past six months. You also won't be using the high chair for the first couple months which adds to your time that you can wait for a sale. Black Friday is coming up and I'm sure it will go on sale then somewhere. Side point, I have the Clikk. Haven't used it yet but I really loved the simplicity of it, ease of cleaning, ease of transport, and aesthetic.

I LOVE IT! We had this horrible Graco chair with a super high back that LO haaaaaaated, and so we switched to the IKEA chair, which she loved, but also quickly learned she could climb out of. The Clikk is great because it’s got the low back so she can still see her doggies begging behind her, but it’s got the 5pt harness to keep her securely in there. Also, comes in cute colors!

You don't need one. Some people love them, some people don't. There's nothing that says you have to have one. Everyone likes and wants different things and everyone has a different budget. Personally I hate the way it looks so I didn't want one. I got the Stokke Clikk and if I hadn't gotten that one I would have gotten the one from IKEA.

I hate our stokke clikk. My baby gets food in literally all the grooves - especially the part where the tray clicks with the chair. My mom has the plain ikea one, so much easier to clean. I will have to agree about the “taking” part. It’s the reason we got it in the first place.

I have the [Stokke Clikk.](https://www.stokke.com/USA/en-us/highchairs/clikk-highchairs/5521.html) Pros: •Wooden legs, and plastic base, tray and seat. So it's very easy to clean. •Can be assembled and unassembled in minutes, which makes it very easy to travel with it. •5 point design harness. •Foot rest can be adjusted for smaller and bigger babies. •I love the look of it's simple design. Cons: •The legs angle outward, so can be a tripping hazard if not careful. My husband tripped over the edge of the feet a couple times since we are in a smaller space. But he got used to it after that.

I have both, and if it had to choose one, I’d go for the ikea chair. There is no benefit to the Clikk. Baby seems to be happy in either chair. We haven’t needed to move the seat so the “ease” of taking it apart was not a selling factor. Unfortunately they both have terrible legs. So easy to kick and trip on (that’s why i prefer the Tripp Trapp).

I like my Clikk a LOT but if I had the funds I'd have bought the Tripp Trapp. It seems like it takes up less floor space than the Clikk. Clickk is really beautiful and easy to clean though, lightweight and technically travel-capable though we haven't brought it anywhere yet.

I really wanted the Tripp trapp but it’s just too expensive to justify. I ended up going with the abiie beyond high chair. It’s not on the cheap end but similar range as clikk. So far I’m loving it! It’s so easy to clean and keeps baby in a good position. It’s also has a small footprint which was also important for us.

I have the ikea chair at my parents’ place as a back up. Don’t mind it but I hate any chair with tripod legs because I trip EVERY. TIME. I don’t understand because I KNOW the legs are there.. why do I still trip? Anyway, I have the Tripp trapp at my own place because I like that she can continue to use it for years. It’s a sturdy, well made chair and you can buy a lot of the accessories on fb marketplace for less (although it is still on the pricier end). If price is not an issue, I would definitely recommend. If tripod legs do not bother you, stokke has the clikk which is great too. Anything with a foot rest is important according to the OT I spoke to.
