SNOO snoo swaddle

The SNOO Snoo Swaddle is designed to be used with the SNOO Smart Sleeper, featuring attachment wings that secure the swaddle to the bassinet. It aims to provide a safe and snug sleep environment for infants, promoting better sleep patterns.

Pros (+)

  • Works well with the SNOO for better sleep
  • Easy to transition from SNOO to crib
  • Keeps babies snug and secure

Cons (−)

  • Some parents question the overall value of the SNOO investment
  • May not be necessary if using other swaddles
  • Limited to SNOO users for full effectiveness

Why parents like it

Parents praise the swaddle's ability to keep babies snug and secure, which can lead to improved sleep. The design allows for easy transitions, especially when moving from the SNOO to a crib.

Common complaints

A notable concern is the perceived lack of value, especially for parents who feel the SNOO investment did not meet their expectations. Some also mention that the swaddle may not be necessary if they are using other swaddling options.

Best for

Parents who have invested in a SNOO and want a compatible swaddle to enhance sleep. However, if you're not using the SNOO, you might find better value in other swaddling options.

Bottom line

The SNOO Snoo Swaddle is effective for SNOO users, but its value may not justify the investment for everyone.

Thread: "The negligence of Happiest Baby to include a safety disclaimer with the leg lifters almost killed my baby"

Can you post a pic of the difference in sleep sacks so I can tell what I’ve got? Received a hand-me-down snoo with hand-me-down snoo sacks and Hand-me-down leg lifters. Would like to check mine before my baby gets here and see if I need to remove the leg lifters or buy new sacks.

Ollie hands down ETA: we’ve tried the Snoo swaddles, the actual snoo, love to dream, muslin blankets, aden and Anais Velcro swaddles, I can go on. Ollie tops them all. Don’t even start anywhere else.

Thread: "What swaddles are actually good for a newborn?"

We have the snoo so use the snoo swaddles but the sweet pea swaddle is the exact same thing minus the snoo attachment pieces. It’s super quick to put her in and you can do arms in or out

Love the MSS; my baby immediately started sleeping through the night in one. So much for the Snoo investment 🫠

Thread: "Swaddles that actually work?"

My little guy is string and likes his arms by his face. A nurse showed us how to make a little collar at the top for the swaddle to tuck his arms into, rather than swaddling down. We also use the love to dream swaddle sack, makes him look like a starfish, and we can use that with the shoulders open on his snoo swaddle and he is really happy in all those positions.

Could you hire a Snoo for a couple of months instead? How old is baby? You’ll need to cold turkey the swaddle now though.

Thread: "Sleepea?"

The only difference between the Sleepea and the Snoo swaddles is that Snoo swaddles have “wings” to connect them to the Snoo, which is important for the Snoo because it moves so much. Sleepeas are great for non-moving bassinets. Btw, I think I tried approximately a million (ish) swaddles and sleep sacks with my first baby. I got a Snoo for my second baby, and I was impressed with the swaddle design. I think you’ll like your Sleepeas. Just remember to put them into a tight mesh lingerie bag when washing to protect your other items from the velcro, and don’t be surprised when they take forever to dry (my dryer’s sensor doesn’t work well for the Snoo sacks, so I have to tell it to time dry).

Zippaddee Zip is amazing. We've been using them since transitioning out of the Snoo at around 4 months and are still using them at 2 years (going up in size obvs). We haven't transitioned out of the crib yet and they're still buying us full, uninterrupted nights of sleep.

Thread: "Best swaddle for small newborns?"

We use the sleepea 5 second swaddle - it’s basically the same as the snoo swaddle without the little wings to clip them in. Super easy to use.

Thread: "Are the Happiest Baby swaddles (the ones that don’t hook into the Snoo) ok to use as sleep sacks after transitioning out of the Snoo?"

Isn’t that what they’re made for? We got one for free when we bought the Snoo and my Baby sleeps in it among other sleep sacks. Probably won’t get any more as they’re pretty expensive

Yes, this is the best swaddle. Arms never break free.

Totally agree with Ollie. Puts her to sleep immediately. LO’s been sleeping through the night since the pediatrician gave us the okay to stop waking to feed.

Thread: "Favorite lightweight swaddles/sleep sacks?"

I hated the halo ones. There is too much fabric on them. We used a SNOO but also had their happiest baby sweet pea Velcro swaddles for naps in the crib. They're lightweight and have venting at the top and bottom. Really nice quality. My daughter was born this time last year and it was hot as a mother up here in Massachusetts so I can only imagine what Florida is like since it is even more humid there than it is here. We just used a regular onesie and she was fine. Even when she was 3m we used a Merlin in the SNOO and just left her in a diaper cos it was still hot here and never had any issues. They can't really regulate body temp that young so just check their chest and back of their neck to see if they are warm.

Thread: "My newborn breaks out of every swaddle help"

I wonder if OP could use a snoo swaddle (which you can buy separately) and just anchor the loops to a normal bassinet? As an aside, my squirmy LO can break her arms out of the snoo swaddle and get a hand out the neck hole to chew on her fist so ymmv!
