We love the Woolino. A little pricey but we used it until two years old and it’s all weather so we could use it year round in the Mid Atlantic US.
Thread: "For those of you who have used multiple brands of swaddles"
Halo with my first. We tried a bunch and kept going back to it. Woolino once we switched to sleep sacks (it was New England winter) and Kyte baby once the weather turned warm.

Love to dream and when they grow out of those, woolino sleep sacks.
Thread: "Need advice on baby sleepwear and swaddles"
Ok this may be unpopular, but I hated the Halo swaddles. Cheap, itchy material that was crap. Our favorite swaddles were either the Ollie or the Kyte brand. We tried the love to dream swaddle but he never took to it. After the swaddle stage we went to the woolino sleep sacks and they’re fantastic.

I wish we’d bought the woolino. It’s pricey up front, but when you add up all the sizes and different TOGs it’s probably cheaper in the long run. Plus the peace of mind. Our kid is 16 months and I still worry she’s either too hot or too cold.

We loved the Ollie for that age! Really held his arms in place which I think helped him sleep better. We then went to the magic Merlin and now are in the woolino.
Thread: "Transitioning swaddles?"
Mine loved being swaddled but transitioned really well to the Woolino sleep sack. They have one that’s for 2-24 months (which is great considering the price). It’s made of breathable wool, so it’s not hot, but it feels slightly weighted. I think that helped her feel secure enough to transition well.
Thread: "Sleep sacks"
We used an Ollie really little and loved it, and using woolino this time once rolling. The woolino is so soft and I’m loving it
Thread: "Can someone help me with understanding swaddles/sleep sacks??"
Yes! We loved the Woolino for 2+ months (arms out, feet and body in the sack). Our 18 month old still uses it.
Thread: "Sleep sac recommendations for a 4 month old that just discovered rolling over? "
We did the love to dream sack where the wings unzip off when we first stopped swaddling. Now we use the Woolino and he loves it. It’s expensive but it helps regulate body temp and it fits them until they’re 2 years old. The first 2 weeks when he first discovered rolling and couldn’t be in a swaddle anymore were a little rough. He kept rolling around and getting stuck on his stomach and we’d have to rescue him. But it’s gotten better and he actually figured out he prefers to sleep on his side in the shape of an L lol.
Thread: "Tell me your experience with transition out of swaddle"
Baby started breaking out of his swaddle then waking hourly at 8 weeks. We tried a Merlin and got two blissful nights of 8hrs sleep straight but that was it. So we switched to the woolino and he’s been sleeping in that since (not well, but it’s not the woolino’s fault lol)

We transitioned to a love to dream pretty early, around 5-6 weeks maybe? For naps and nights. She started rolling during tummy time to her back at 9 weeks. We switched to the Merlin suit at 10 weeks for nights, woolino sleep sack for naps. People keep saying the Merlin suit is weighted, I don’t understand that. Ours is three layers of cotton. I asked our ped about it and he says it’s fine, no concern, he says it’s not weighted. She is able to soothe herself with her hands still. Our daughter sleeps 7:30-6am with one wake up around 2am since we moved to the Merlin. Previously 2 wakeups. No issues with overheating. Cotton footed sleeper underneath, room at 19c. Woolino for naps no issues, she contact naps only still so that is kind of rough but the night sleep is golden.
Thread: "I’ve spent so much money on swaddles/sleep sacks…what works?"
We love our Woolino sleep sacks! They help regulate temperature, so you don't need different TOGs, and they fit for a really long time. We also did a zippadeezip when we first switched out of swaddle, and it helped.

LOVE the Woolinos. Expensive but totally worth it!

Another vote for Woolino! They are so good! And they are sometimes on goodbuygear.com. I snagged one off there for $60
Thread: "Transitional Sleep Sacks"
We did the same! Straight to woolino sleep sacks!
Thread: "Halo sleep sack safe?"
I don't see how they could suffocate on the sleep sack? Even if they play with their feet. We used the halo transition sleep sack and just switched her to the Woolino. The Woolino does have a bit of extra because it's for 2-24m but it's never anywhere near her face. I'm not an expert so maybe someone else can shed light but I don't think there's any safety risk.
Thread: "For those of you who have used multiple brands of swaddles"
Halo and Kyte for us too! We used Halo for sleep sacks as well so we didn’t use Woolino but we are also in New England so Kyte was great in the winter
Thread: "Swaddle Options for Heat Waves"
At that temperature we never swaddled baby. He just slept in a diaper and onesie (he was a newborn/ couple months). Now with a toddler we have a bit better AC, but still gets to 75 easily. He wears a woolino sleep sack (wool is temperature regulating) with his feet sticking out with just a T-shirt. Like someone else said - better for baby to be too cold than too hot for sure. Also better for baby to keep waking than to be too hot swaddled.
Thread: "Best Newborn swaddle sacks"
We used the newborn sleep sack from perlimpinpin. You can do arms in or arms out. Bonus is they’re a Canadian company. We used it from the day baby was born until about 7 weeks. We are using the size up now and a woolino sleepsack (switch them when doing laundry).
Thread: "Best swaddle/sleep sack for the summer/hot days ?"
We have the Woolino Sleep Sack and my girl is almost 4 months. Used it as soon as she turned 3 months when we stopped swaddling her. It was expensive but its made of wool and it regulates her temps/body temp depending on the environment. Suxh a good investment i dont have to worry about dressing her depending on togs. She is usually in normal pj's and has the woolino sleep sack. It also grows with her from 3 months-2 years old

Love Woolino sacks. On baby #3, and they still look perfect. My almost 4 year old has a giant one.
Thread: "Transitional Sleep Sacks"
We went cold turkey from swaddle to sleep sack and use woolino. Its amazing. You don’t have to keep buying up sizes and great for all seasons
Thread: "Huge PSA to Parents who swaddle (Just had a really big scare!)"
Do you have to get a couple in case of blowouts or leaks?
Thread: "Sleep sac recommendations for a 4 month old that just discovered rolling over? "
We were sold on Woolinos after my sisters 2 year old was using his older sisters that she’d used for 2 years. Worth the price! My girl is 13 months now and we have two that we rotate and plan to use for the next kid too.

I just got a second one for my 3 week old - we’re in Southern CA and summer is hot, but the natural fibers are breathable and give him the right coverage at night. Baby always preferred his hands out and his Moro reflex wasn’t an issue with wake up.

Huge fan of the woolino! My best friend gave me 2 that BOTH of her sons used for my daughter. So they are now on their 3rd baby and holding up perfectly. Def worth the money!
Thread: "Sleep sac recommendations for a 4 month old that just discovered rolling over? "
Also a Woolino fan! We use two that we swap out on laundry day and have been using them since one month old (my son was not a swaddle fan). They have snaps on them that adjust to fit younger babies. My son just turned one and they are still the go to despite having other sleep sacks that were gifted.

LOVE Woolino!! Worth the investment and resell value is good if you take care of them
Thread: "Need advice on baby sleepwear and swaddles"
I love our Woolino. We got the Ecolino instead which is cotton and $50 cheaper. It’s also dryer friendly which the woolino is not. We were never able to use swaddles with my baby because of hip dysplasia. So as soon as he hit ten pounds(minimum requirement to use the sleep sack) we used it every night.
Thread: "Need advice on baby sleepwear and swaddles"
We went straight from halo newborn swaddles, no swaddle @ 4 weeks, woolino @ 6. Yea he would startle himself every now and then, but we’ve spent less money on temporary use stuff. We have 3 woolinos that we rotate through for laundry day, and will leave one at daycare when he goes to his permanent one in Jan.
Thread: "Well the scariest moment of my life happened and now we can't swaddle arms in"
I started using the Woolino sleep sacks at 8 weeks when the exact same thing happened to me, and we had no issues with the transition.
Thread: "How do people transition their babies out of a swaddle?"
We went cold turkey at 8 weeks, with a woolino sleep sack. It took 2 days for her to get used to it.
Thread: "When and how did you transition from swaddling?"
Transitioned to zipadee zip at 3 months when baby first rolled. Then transitioned to woolino sleep sack when baby started sleeping on stomach around 5.5 months.
