Thread: "What swaddle did you use for your newborn baby?"
Halo! And we just started using the halo transitional sleep sack and it working like a dream!

What is the transitional one? We have the regular halo swaddle and the sleep sacks. There is an in between one?!
Thread: "Halo sleep sack safe?"
I don't see how they could suffocate on the sleep sack? Even if they play with their feet. We used the halo transition sleep sack and just switched her to the Woolino. The Woolino does have a bit of extra because it's for 2-24m but it's never anywhere near her face. I'm not an expert so maybe someone else can shed light but I don't think there's any safety risk.

We are in the process of transitioning (LO IS 3.5 months and she is nearly rolling). I’m having some luck with the halo transition swaddle. It has a nice weight, and is definitely muting her reflex. I’ve also heard ppl swear by the magic Merlin suit but we haven’t tried it (yet)
Thread: "Transition swaddle recommendations? [ON]"
We use the Halo transition. I just felt like baby needed something on her arms lol. I found a small on fbmp, and then a medium there too when we were ready to size up.
Thread: "Best transition swaddle for 4 month old?"
Halo transition swaddle, I have a baby born 5 weeks early , who absolutely relied on arms in swaddle , at week 12 tried arms out and it was horrible , but week 13 did halo transition swaddle & no issues / went smoothly

We use halo as well and it’s the only one she doesn’t work her way out of!
Thread: "Transitioning out of a swaddle not going well.... Help!"
If your little one likes the halo swaddles have you tried the halo transitional sleepsack. It's a bit padded so it damps the reflex but it's not a complete Michelin man look like the merlin. And it's safe to roll in.

Yes! We used halo then transitional (and still use it at 6 months. I wish they made it bigger!)
Thread: "Sleep sacks"
Ohhh I didn’t see that one on the site! I only saw the swaddle one and the no sleeves one

I wish I saw this before we transitioned out of swaddles. We just transitioned our LO cold turkey. Lol I do try to make sure he’s wearing a long sleeve sleeper or onesie though and that seemed to help. This transitional one is good to keep in mind though if we have another baby. Thanks for sharing!

The Halo transition swaddle was great for us too. She could still feel some pressure from the wings being wrapped around her belly (not tight) but her arms were free. It made it easier to move up to a regular Halo sleep sack when she got bigger.

We were team Halo here too. Tried the Love to Dream and the second we laid LO down in it, I swear he cursed my soul for entirety and screamed until I took it off.
Thread: "When and how did you transition from swaddling?"
My LO is turning 12 week this week also using halo swaddles right now but I’m planning to let her nap one arm out for now for her to get used to having access to her hand
Thread: "When and how did you transition from swaddling?"
Like exactly 3 months and just did the halo transitional sleep sack and then just regular sleep sacks by halo
Thread: "Sleep sacks"
We were told that the recommendation is to stop swaddling at 8 weeks old. Halo sells a transition swaddle that I really liked. It has half sleeves to dampen the startle reflex.

Try the Halo transitional swaddle! Mine loves it and it’s safe if they’re showing signs of rolling but still helps with the Moro reflex.
Thread: "When and how did you transition from swaddling?"
I stopped swaddling a week ago because of signs of rolling. I had tried one arm out before then and it was a disaster. So, just went cold turkey in a sleep sack. The first night was with her same long sleeps, but then she started waking up every hour or two for the next several nights. Then I got the Halo transition sleep sack and it got a little better the first night, and then it’s been much much better and almost back to normal the last two nights. Currently putting baby to bed now so FINGERS CROSSED.
