Thread: "Infant car seat recommendation that doesn’t feel cheap?"

We had a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio that didn’t look cheap compared to others but I think it’s more expensive than Graco and Chicco.

They're all safe, but one reason why we went with peg perego over the Britax, for example, was because all my babies were 99th percentile at birth and chunky monkeys. They would have outgrown the deep and narrow Britax faster than the wider peg perego infant bucket.

We have this too! I love it. We had the Graco Snugride seat but it didn’t clip into our Uppababy vista. Not an issue with our first who was born during lockdown, but for our current baby we definitely needed a stroller compatible car seat. It feels super luxurious compared to the Graco but it also feels safer. Her head is way better supported in the Peg Perego seat and she seems much more comfortable. We did have to buy the adapters but it was still cheaper than buying the Uppababy car seat.

Thread: "Is Uppababy Cruz & Mesa car seat worth it ?"

I've been looking into them too. I keep seeing uppababy all around and my friends with kids rave about the stroller, so I'm going to go with the Vista 2. I'm looking into the carseats and comparing it to the peg perego primo. I'm using https://www.babygearlab.com/ to check the reviews. Also my friend several years ago had their 2 year old child (at the time) involved in a horrible crash, where there were fatalities and the carseat saved their child. They were using the peg perego at the time. The mesa is good because it fits the stroller without needed adapters and it's on the higher end of safe. Get the black or white one, they are discounted to $299 instead of $349. But the peg perego is basically the same price.
