Nuna TRVL LX
The Nuna TRVL LX is a lightweight travel stroller designed for easy folding and portability. It features a newborn recline, making it suitable for infants, and is compatible with the Nuna PIPA car seat.
Pros (+)
- Lightweight and easy to carry
- Compact fold for travel
- Good maneuverability in tight spaces
Cons (−)
- No bassinet compatibility for newborns
- Lacks a parent-facing feature
- Higher price compared to some competitors
Why parents like it
The lightweight design makes it easy to carry and maneuver, especially for parents on the go. Many find the compact fold convenient for travel and storage in tight spaces.
Common complaints
Some parents wish it had bassinet compatibility for newborns, limiting its use for very young infants. A few also mention the lack of a parent-facing option as a drawback.
Parents looking for a compact stroller that is easy to carry while traveling. The tradeoff is the limited features for newborns compared to other models.
The Nuna TRVL LX is a solid choice for parents seeking a lightweight travel stroller, but it may not meet all needs for newborns.

Thread: "Pros and Cons of Nuna TRVL?"
I could have written most of this, except I have the TRVL LX! Biggest pros for me are that it’s relatively lightweight and easy to fold/unfold, which was critical to me as I live in a walkup. LX has the recline to bassinet feature, but as noted, you could use the stroller with a Nuna car seat for short trips (I had the urbn as well). It’s not the sturdiest stroller, but suits my purposes fine, and that’s prob even less of an issue if you’re using it as your second stroller (it’s my primary). If I were to buy again, the only other stroller I would potentially consider is the Joolz Aer - overall pretty happy with my Nuna.

Hi. I’ve been working in this industry over 20 years and I have opinions lol. Joolz Aer. Bugaboo butterfly. Inglesina quid3. Baby Jogger City Tour. Joie nutmeg. Nuna TRVL LX. All of these are very solid options. If you go to my Instagram, I have a video on the quid that I put up yesterday and there was also a giveaway and a discount code. And full disclosure I do not make anything from that code if you use it it’s just to help people save some money. 🫡
Thread: "Any parents using a Travel stroller for everyday use?"
I have the TRVL Lx and could easily use it for everything. I would really recommend it, it’s very convenient to not have to use adapters or remove the stroller seat when you want to attach the car seat

It looks like this is the one I’m going to buy, if I can get the Nordstrom anniversary promotion that includes the Nuna Urban car seat. Its a very nice deal

I’ve only just now starting bringing it on flights. I’ve done maybe 3-4 flights with it so far and have been able to fit it in the overhead. Flight attendants usually aren’t familiar with it so sometimes they push back but I just say “it’s the same size as the yoyo and fits overhead!”

FTM here, we purchased a Nuna TRVL LX as our main stroller. We've tried it out and like the feel of it and the weight and easy foldability were my main driving factors. Although, I don't think it's actually small enough to be a carry on for flights fyi.
Thread: "Help Choosing Between Nuna SWIV vs TRVL LX"
tried both in store and glad we went with the trvl lx. i’m also 5’2 and the compact size makes a big difference for me carrying it around. also love that the nuna car seat fits in it without an adapter. the swiv feels a bit more smooth but not enough to justify the extra weight imo. we stroll over bumpy narrow sidewalks a lot and the trvl holds up fine. my partner is 6’2 and the handlebar is somehow at a good height for both of us. although the trvl does not have an adjustable handlebar, its height is actually higher than the highest setting on either the triv or swiv, i forget which.
Thread: "Nuna TRVL LX as only stroller?"
I just bought the trvl lx. My baby is 6 weeks old and the large bassinet stroller I have is basically unusable as a stroller when im alone because I have some back/hip issues. This is going to be my main stroller and I’m really happy with it. The baby already likes being in it better than laying flat in her bassinet on a walk or being squished in the Doona. The main drawbacks are 1) that it’s very light so it’s not recommended to use a stroller caddy or hang anything off the handlebars 2) Nuna says the near flat recline is ok for newborn but even at 6 weeks it feels early for them to be strapped in like that and 3) strollers with a bassinet are really convenient as they provide an on the go safe sleep surface. Really happy with my purchase
Thread: "Nuna Trvl Lx Thoughts?"
I don’t have first hand experience yet, but I went through this exact thought process! I loved the TRVL Lx but the downsides for me were - no bassinet compatibility and no ability to have the baby face the parent. Ended up buying the Triv Next, but can’t comment on it because baby isn’t here yet!

The TRVL LX has a newborn recline

Yes! Got to see it in store. The salesman even told us that some moms have changed baby quite effortlessly in the recliner position in a pinch!

I have the Swiv, but did not try the Trvl in store, so I can't give a comparison. I love the Swiv, but I'm in a very urban environment where the maneuverability is really important. If that wasn't the key feature for me, I don't know if I'd be as happy. The under carriage is usually jam packed with diaper bag, etc... But I'm often running errands with no car, so that might be different. It's also very sleek, but there's not a good place to clip a grocery bag, the cup holder, or dangly toys for the baby. I love the one handed open and close, and I will bring it with me to travel while baby is still in the infant seat, but after that I'm more likely to get a light umbrella stroller for travel.

Following.. I have the trvl lx but baby is not here yet.. hoping it works well but I’m nervous about not having the parent facing feature. Baby is due in winter though, so might not matter too much

How’s the trvl lx working out for you?
Thread: "Nuna Trvl Lx Thoughts?"
Hi I also have the TRVL LX and I am 5 feet tall. The handlebar is definitely high but it’s not a big deal. I can still pop the car seat in and see baby and push her just fine. It’s not AS comfortable compared to my big stroller that has a lower handlebar position but nothing I can’t deal with.

I went with the Trvl LX but baby isn’t here yet so no review

Thread: "Infant stroller - Joolz Aer + or Nuna TRVL LX"
I know you posted this a while ago but still going to weigh in - we went with the Joolz Aer+ on the recommendation from my sister in law who's a nurse with a 2yr old who does a lot of walking with him. We got the Clek Liing car seat to go with the Joolz and all in with some sales I think it was around $750. So knowing what the Nuna travel system costs I think Joolz is overall a better product that will also end up lighter. Also the car seat attachment to the Joolz in my opinion is much safer than an infant in the stroller but Joolz also has that extendable back should you need more leg room before transitioning. Good luck!
Thread: "Nuna TRVL LX as only stroller?"
have you gotten the stroller yet? also deciding between trvl lx and mixx next. we want to use the recline feature as a bassinet for our newborn which is why i was leaning towards mixx next. but i heard trvl lx can also recline deep enough now? would love to hear what you think!
Thread: "Nuna TRVL LX as only stroller?"
Hi are/were you concerned at all about the TRVL not being able to rotate and only allowing a forward facing seat?
Thread: "Infant stroller - Joolz Aer + or Nuna TRVL LX"
Hello! I am also deciding between the Nuna TRVL LX and Joolz Aer and the only thing that's making me question the Nuna is the fact that my newborn would be facing away from me at such a young age and small size. A part of me feels like I would want them facing me so I can see how they're doing at all times while we're out. Did you have that anxiety about not having your newborn facing you? Thank you!
