I've been using a travel high chair for a while but I really needed a bigger tray surface and after researching, got the Maxi Cosi Moa. It's frequently on sale for >150$ (US). It comes in so many pretty colors. The tray is removable but also has a plastic top insert. The lining cushion is water repellent but we just took it out. The whole chair can be wiped down, no nooks or crannies. If the straps get dirty they are easily slotted out and easily rinsed. I love it and it has honestly made feeding time more enjoyable for me. It does convert into like a chair or table later but like you, I don't really care about that. The only con that I saw in reviews is that the foot rest has only two positions. I can see that, my baby is past one when he started using it and he's just reaching the foot rest (he's also a little guy). I also wished it magically folded up compactly somehow but it's a pretty high chair so it hangs by our table.

We have this chair too and really like it. Same issue with the footrest, but like your baby ours is a little dude too. I’ve washed the cushion multiple times and it still looks great.

I also have been happy with this one and find it pretty easy to clean (I pop the lining in the washing machine from time to time). Agreed about the footrest though- my LO is nowhere close to reaching it.

The Maxi Cosi Moa is nice, easy to clean, sturdy but lightweight. My only gripe is that the footrest is nowhere near high enough for a baby just starting solids. It’s advertised as something silly like an 8-in-1, but really it’s just a full high chair that can later be used as a booster or small chair and table, which I like.

There’s pros and cons to pretty much every option. My parents have a cheap and basic Cosco folding highchair that folds so small (which is amazing!) but the seat is super reclined and there is zero adjustability. It’s great for occasional use but definitely not a preferred seating position for babies. We have a Tripp Trapp with a baby seat but no tray, and just pulled it up to our table. Love that thing so much. Not feasible for us to buy a new one for each of our kids (had 3 under 3) so our youngest is currently in a Maxi Cosi Moa that doesn’t fold at all but breaks down quickly and easily.
