Lalo high chair

The Lalo high chair is a convertible seating option designed for infants and toddlers, featuring adjustable seat and footrest heights. It is made from durable materials and includes a removable cushion for easy cleaning.

Pros (+)

  • Sturdy construction provides good stability
  • Easy to clean with removable cushion
  • Converts to a toddler chair for extended use

Cons (−)

  • Large footprint may not suit small spaces
  • Compatibility issues with suction plates and bowls
  • Some parents find it overpriced for the features offered

Why parents like it

Parents praise the Lalo for its sturdy construction and ease of cleaning, with many noting the removable cushion is a big plus. The ability to convert it into a toddler chair after use is also frequently mentioned.

Common complaints

A significant number of parents express frustration over the high chair's large footprint, which can be cumbersome in smaller spaces. Additionally, several parents report issues with the compatibility of suction plates and bowls.

Best for

Parents who want a high chair that can grow with their child and is easy to clean. However, it may not be ideal for smaller living spaces due to its size.

Bottom line

The Lalo high chair is a solid option for those who value sturdiness and ease of cleaning, but be prepared for space and compatibility challenges.

On the flip side, the angle of the legs / wider base makes them more stable and less likely to fall over!

I would avoid the lalo- it’s fine but the legs stick out and I trip over them constantly

I’ve heard really good things about the Lalo. I personally just have the IKEA one though.

I agree with this completely. I also have the Lalo. I think it’s actually very easy to clean (we just don’t use the padded cushion, it’s easily removable). My husband and I have tripped over the flared legs a bunch of times but to its credit, the chair never tilts or comes even close to tipping— it’s extremely stable.

It's been so nice! My friend has one of those cloth ones and it makes me feel happy that I don't have to deal with that. I just use a lysol wipe after my toddler is done eating and call it a day!

We have the lalo high chair and it’s been good so far. It is a bit bulky, not gonna lie, but it feels really sturdy and doesn’t wobble. I personally wanted one with a footrest, so that narrowed my options.

Love the Mockingbird one for the small footprint and easy clean. Just don’t get the Lalo, overpriced and overhyped

Same here. Had the Lalo, hated it, now have the Tripp trapp and wish we had started that way.

I have the lalo and my little one is 18 months now. if I could go back in time, I wish I would've gotten the stokke instead. why the lalo sucks imo: 1. The wide splayed legs take up so much space and are easy to trip over 2. The way the seat is designed, my little one cannot really sit up straight. If he relaxes and leans back against the chair, he's far away from the tray/table 3. The straps - omg I hate the straps - they dont' stay on the shoulder. And if I tighten them, they my little one can't lean forward to eat his food. If they're loose enough for him to lean forward towards his food, they always slide off his shoulder and then gets in the way when he wants to lift his arm. 4. After about 6months of use with weekly washes, the buttons that snap the cushion together on the sides broke on both sides so I ended up just removing it. 5. The 3-in-1 sell is such a cheat. With the cost of the conversion kits into each of the other designs, you might as well just sell this chair and use that money to buy a booster chair or play chair (rather than have extra long legs and a tray leftover). 6. i thought the cushion looked more comfortable than the stokke (since stokke doesn't have cushion at all), but really it's just a pain in the ass to clean. the buttons breaking was the final straw that made me decide to stop using it and clean up has been a lot easier.

We have a 30ish percentile 7 month old that has been using the Lalo high chair for roughly two months and does great in it!

We were gifted the Lalo high chair and I hate it. Straps are tough, food gets stuck in the groove where the tray attaches, and we had to purchase the (overpriced) infant insert in order for our baby to even be able to sit anywhere near the tray. And we trip on the wide legs all the time! It takes up so much space. If it wasn’t gifted we would have returned it. Bleh!

Thread: "Why does everyone love the IKEA high chairs?"

Some people buy IKEA high chairs since it's affordable-side so I get it, but I wouldn't buy it either. We got a lalo high chair for our LO and it's very sturdy to say the least and the seat and foot rest is adjustable. We also liked the idea that I could convert it to a booster/toddler chair.

We have the lalo high chair and it’s been really easy to wipe clean and super sturdy. We’ve had it about a year now and are planning to convert it into the play chair soon :)

Lalo! Love this high chair. Super easy to clean and has a removable cushion that you can throw in the washer. When your LO grows out of it, you can turn it into an adorable chair. [Lalo high chair](https://meetlalo.com/products/the-chair)
