Keekaroo Height Right

The Keekaroo Height Right is a wooden high chair designed to grow with your child from infancy through toddlerhood. It features a removable infant insert, adjustable seat height, and a footrest for added comfort.

Pros (+)

  • Sturdy construction ensures longevity and stability
  • Removable infant insert allows for early use
  • Adjustable height accommodates growing children

Cons (−)

  • Some kids may outgrow interest by 18 months
  • Lacks versatility compared to other high chairs
  • Limited features compared to premium options

Why parents like it

The sturdy construction is often praised, making it a reliable choice for growing toddlers. Parents appreciate the removable infant insert, which allows for use from a young age.

Common complaints

Some parents mention that their children lose interest in the chair as they approach 18 months. A few also feel that it lacks some of the versatility seen in other high chairs.

Best for

Parents looking for a durable high chair that can be used from infancy. The tradeoff is that some children may lose interest as they grow.

Bottom line

The Keekaroo Height Right is a well-built high chair, but its appeal may fade as toddlers grow.

Going against the grain here to say I've heard lots of complaints about the tripp trapp because of the straps. Everyone I know just stopped using them because they hated them so much, which depending on your kid, could be extremely unsafe. We had the keekearoo height right and the adults liked it a lot but my son was over it by like 18 months. I would have been really bummed if we had spent a ton of money on it but we bought it used for $80 so it was no big deal to move on to something that worked better for him. I definitely suggest trying to find something used if you can

A couple of wooden options that aren’t Tripp Trapp: 1. [Keekaroo Height Right](https://www.keekaroo.com/high-chairs.html), 2. Keekaroo height right with the infant insert! Without the insert, the seat does have a cloth cushion but it’s removable and doesn’t have to be used. And the high chair converts all the way up to an adult seat, if long term use is important to you. The straps are a pain to remove, but wipe off easily enough with a wet rag.

GET THE KEEKAROO HEIGHT RIGHT! The tripp trapp gets so much hype and attention that I don't think is necessarily justified. Don't get me wrong, I have a tripp trapp and understand the benefits but I also have a Keekaroo Height Right and think it deserves so much more attention than it currently gets. (Many people know of the keekaroo peanut changer but nobody ever talks about the high chair!) It does the same exact job as the tripp trapp with additional benefits. Benefits over the tripp trapp: - heavier and sturdier - the tray is wood with a removable plastic tray cover on top to help with cleaning. The tray on the tripp trapp is plastic with a ton of triangles on the bottom which makes it difficult to remove food bits from grimey baby hands. - parts are easily replaceable and reasonably priced from the cross bars to missing footplates (so if you're buying second hand and are missing pieces or want to replace a specific piece, it's easy) - cushions are available and made of a soft to touch material that's easy to wipe and wash instead of the tripp trapp fabric padding. The cushion is also puncture proof and made of the same material as the peanut changer. I will say that the keekaroo high chair and the cushions don't come in as many colours as the tripp trapp but I think there are enough to appeal to everyone's taste.

I bought the keekaroo because my son was approaching the weight limit on our cheap Cosco chair at 16 months and wanted something like the Tripp Trapp but where you could use a seatbelt without using an infant insert because there is no way his belly would have fit in the Tripp Trapp insert. Because of the seatbelt there are a couple slots in the chair, but it's otherwise a breeze to clean. Came with a cushion but I refuse to use fabric on a high chair lol. I'm super happy with it.

I love the look of Abiie and it is good quality, but putting the tray on and off usually takes two hands and was not ideal for younger babes that aren't sitting on their own yet, in my own personal experience.
