  • Simple setup without complicated features

Cons (−)

  • May not fit well with all bed types
  • Some babies may slide due to angle
  • Lacks advanced features found in competitors

Why parents like it

Many parents praise the Halo Glide for its simple design that fits well in tight spaces. The gliding feature is particularly appreciated for nighttime accessibility.

Common complaints

Some parents report issues with the bassinet not fitting well with their beds, causing their babies to slide. Others mention that the lack of additional features compared to other models might be a drawback.

Best for

Parents looking for a simple, space-saving bassinet that allows for easy nighttime access. The tradeoff is that it may not fit all bed types comfortably.

I second this. I have a Halo (Glide, not Swivel), and it hovers above my IKEA bed. Also to lower the side you need to push two buttons on the sides, and they make a horrible loud click. Overall, not super convenient to get a baby out of it without getting up.

I liked my Halo bassinet, I got the Glide instead of the Swivel as my sister said she knocked everything off her nightstand a few times lol. It's nice because it's mesh so you can see baby, and it's quite large so he fit for a good long time. A wrap IS a lot of fabric but I love my Beluga Baby still! It's incredibly soft and while there is a bit of a learning curve to tying it, once you can the hang of it it's really easy! And baby is so nice and cozy. I also like my Tula Explore carrier, it's a soft structured carrier good to use from newborn without an extra insert. I have a Medela Freestyle Flex pump to build up a freezer stash. I don't mind it but I don't have anything to compare it to.

Thread: "Best bedside bassinet?"

I purchased the Halo Glide bassinet after reading and watching YouTube reviews. I liked that it has mesh sides and pulls up right to the bed so that baby is kind of co sleeping without actually co sleeping!

I had the Halo Glide, the one with no fancy features and the two legs that slide under the bed. It was great. I have a small room and being able to have it take up zero floor space when not in use was awesome.

Omg are you me?? I also have the halo glide, beluga baby wrap, and Medela flex! I got the ergo 360 as my structured carrier though. Excited to use them all!

The cuddle curl with them on the boob all night worked great for my kids🫠 lol!!!! Nah but we liked our halo glide. No buttons or fancy this and that

And you have to keep holding them to keep the side down so you need a third hand to actually pick the baby up

I used a halo glide. Hated it! It didn't work with my bed, bit more importantly, the bed was slightly angled, making my baby slide around. I googled it after - apparently it's a common issue... Didn't feel safe to me
