a 360 seat is super bulky and you will find in a smaller car that a 25kg ERF seat will take up much less room. You should look at the Axkid Minikid or Britax Max Way Plus especially if you have a 97th centile child as they will need a high harness limit so they can rear face to safe forward facing games (4.5y)

1. Depends on how much you drive. It's much handier to be able to lift baby and car seat out together and just click them into the pram to get about. We enjoyed the convenience if it rather than moving a potentially sleeping baby from car seat to pram to go into shops etc. 2. We had a cybex car seat that reclined. We liked it a lot and the base also spun. 3. We have an uppababy vista. We don't live in Leitrim, but do live in a place with uneven roads and we do a lot of walking. Price wise, it's on the higher end, there are other buggies out there that'll do similar. I'd highly recommend scoping out what buggies the people who live around you have. If you know people who have had babies recently, it's no harm to ask how they found theirs.

Did you move the headrest up and take the newborn insert out? A 5mo should have loads of room in this seat. They are meant to be snug, think of it as a helmet but for their whole body. Agree that 2 years is a bit ambitious especially as most toddlers prefer to sit much more upright, but you should easily get to a year comfortably. Also car seats are designed to be used without winter coats if that's something that is getting in the way.

We loved our cybex iCloud for the newborn days. It lays flat on the pram, so convenient, and easy to get in and out of our Toyota Aygo. It states up to 13kg/16 months so we were expecting a lot more wear out of it. Yet here we are with a 97th centile baby looking for the next seat at 9MO. We’ve decided against the sirona as because she’s so large the annoyance of the ‘lift and spin’ to get the full 360 is already proving difficult. There was a great [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/UKParenting/comments/xwkpgd/360_seats/ir7leff/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3) on another thread that we looked at and are going to use. Ideally we need a 360 seat because of our small car so I’ve just resigned myself to the fact that we’ll buy one that will probably only last us another 1.5-2 years, it’s cheaper than buying a new car! You might find that the cybex or similar would suit you until you’re ready to front face, or you don’t need the 360 function when you’re just putting baby in car, not baby & seat.

1. Yes, it was a game changer with a newborn but we so travel a lot. If you’re going to be popping down to your local Lidl once a week and visiting your mam then no. Its about your needs. 2. We had cybex cloud z (I think now its cloud t) and it was amazing. It reclined in the car and on the pram, really really loved it. We saved it and we’re gonna be using it for this baby. It also was 360 so much easier on our backs. 3. So we spent quite a bit on Cybex Priam and as much as I love it, I really do - we decided to have a second child sooner than we thought. We’re going to have to get a double stroller soon and the thought of spending that much money again only after a year and a half of using it is actually killing me lol. I would also say, that most travel systems that you get are quite annoying as strollers. What I mean is that the seat detaches from the base and its a bit of a chore to put it together every time you get out of the car and then take it apart again. My baby only used his buggy for 4 months and then we moved on to the stroller seat and oh my god if I was to do it again I would have invested in a stroller that just folds easily and takes up less space. Yes, having the car seat on the base is really handy and it was great to have it for a lot of the trips but transfering a newborn to the pram for 4 months is much easier than putting together a stroller and then putting a hefty toddler into it

As long as his head is still in the right place, it’s fine if the legs have to bend (given he’s still in the correct height per the seats guidance). We have a Cybex Z2 and a tall 17 month old with long legs! She can stay in it up to 87cm/13kg. Looks like the Cybex cloud T is the same? Have you moved the headrest bit up as he’s grown?

Funnily enough my 5 month old has just gone from our cybex cloud t to the joie i-spin 360. Absolutely loads of room in the joie she’ll definitely be in it for a long time. I’ve got no issues with it. Really annoyed the cloud t was advertised as suitable for up to 24 months. My little one is quite small too but was looking so squished in it I had to get her out of it and into something bigger. So long story short I can recommend the joie. *** edit Omg I just realised how I worded it. By loads of room I meant because it’s a baby to toddler car seat I know this seat will be suitable for years. I promise baby is snug and secure she’s not just rolling around in the seat.

1. We really like being able to pop the car seat on the frame of the buggy when she’s sleeping, it’s also handy for saving space in the boot if you have a pram attachment that doesn’t fold flat. 2. We got the maxi cosi pebble 360 pro with slide tech and the isofix base, it’s expensive but we love it l, it’s very secure and reclines quite well, the slide tech is handy as it brings the car seat closer to you so if you’ve a bad back c section, mobility issues it’s ideal. The cybex cloud t is great too it’s bigger so would probably last longer and has a better lie flat recline than the 360 pro. 3. There are so many options out there depending on your needs go to as many baby shops and try as many as you can, I would recommend trying the folding mechanism and see how easy it would be to fold and unfold unaided and try it on different surfaces. Some buggy’s are so big and bulky they just weren’t for us, I have mobility issues and some weren’t suitable for me to use unaided. Some buggy’s you have to get down on your hunkers to fold and lift into the car others you don’t, they really vary in weight too, you won’t want something really heavy if you have a c section or bad back etc, some are much more user friendly than others. And then are you planning on having one child or more is a big factor some allow for an extra child seat to be added on to the frame and save buying a bigger buggy in the future all you’d need for a future baby would be an extra attachment. If your going to have more get something like an uppababy vista, personally I don’t like them, everyone else seems to love them, I found them very heavy and bulky we got a bugaboo dragonfly which is amazing and ticks all of our boxes but the wheels wouldn’t be great for country living. It’s compact, sturdy and easy to put up and take down you can get the car seat adapters for it and the pram attachment folds flat on the frame most don’t so you would have the pram part taking up most of your boot. On our hunt for the perfect baby equipment for our needs we went to Tony Kealy’s, mamas and papas, Bella baby, the other baby shop in dundrum and some smaller family owned shops too. Funnily enough we found more features on the same travel systems by speaking to different sales assistants in the shops that hadn’t been mentioned in others.
