- Good customer support despite startup challenges
Cons (−)
- Higher price point compared to other bassinets
- Some quality control issues reported
- Limited availability in certain markets
Why parents like it
Parents appreciate the automated rocking feature that adapts to their baby's needs, which can be a game changer during sleepless nights. The ability to transition from a bassinet to a crib means it can grow with their child, providing value over time.
Common complaints
While most parents have no complaints, a few mention that the price may be a barrier for some families. Additionally, there are mentions of quality control issues from the startup company, though customer support is generally considered good.
Parents who want a smart solution to help their baby sleep better and appreciate the long-term use from newborn to toddler. The tradeoff is the higher price point compared to traditional bassinets.
The Cradlewise Smart Crib is a great choice for parents seeking a high-tech solution for sleep, but its premium price may not fit every budget.

For my first child I used the Snoo, for my second I went with the Cradlewise. The Cradlewise, although spendy, is really really great if you can afford it. The Snoo was okay, but it was really noisy, stopped working a lot, and my son grew out of it after three months. The Cradlewise is super quiet, moves more naturally (up and down instead of side to side - with the snoo you have to use their clip in swaddles or the baby will roll around lol), has a built in camera, and since it’s a mini crib we can use it until the baby is about two. When my baby stirs in the middle of the night it definitely settles her and saves me from getting up often. All that to say no one really “needs” a high end smart crib, but it’s a super nice to have. Here if you have any questions about either product. Obligatory $100 off referral code IZPY2OWFEI.

Yes, yes and yes. We had ordered a cradlewise but as we got closer to our son’s birth thought it was unnecessary and cancelled our order. About 3 weeks after our son was born my wife broke down and bought one off of FB Marketplace because she wasn’t willing to wait the 4 days for one from Snoo. It immediately helped our son sleep longer, get back to sleep at the beginning of the night and when he randomly woke up in the middle of the night.

A sleep regression around the age you have to stop using the Snoo is developmentally normal so it might just be coincidence. Snoo also recommends starting to transition fairly early while many parents just kind of let it keep doing it's thing and then suddenly realize the baby has outgrown it and they have to move now. So then they are trying to transition from a restrictive swaddle and the motion and a new crib all at the same time. I'm going with the Cradlewise after seeing reviews for it. Some babies like the motion better and it can be used until they grow out of a mini crib so most go directly to a toddler bed or twin. It also doesn't strap the baby down. They can roll and move.

I second the cradlewise. The company is a start up and has some quality control and supply chain issues, but the customer support is generally good. They are also constantly updating their app and adding new functions (unlike the Snoo which requires a subscription to use some functions). I also love that it's an all-in-one solution--in addition to the camera, the base has a built-in speaker that plays white/pink/brown noise, and you can connect it to Spotify Premium and use it as a speaker. Some parents don't like the video quality but we've found it adequate. There's also a beta breath monitoring mode that helps ease my mind when bub is too still at night. My referral code: DPYHOWZUGP

Ugh we have a snoo and I just can’t use it.. the clipping into and out of the damn thing is so cumbersome.. as a result we are co-sleeping again 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ also it becomes too small really quickly if your baby is born larger. I hate myself for buying it and too many accessories. I want a cradlewise & they just entered the Canadian market too.

Check out the Cradlewise. I couldn’t justify a bassinet at that cost, but the Cradlewise turns into a crib and has a much longer return policy.

My Cradlewise comes 2/25 and my baby comes 3/25. I just read your comment to my husband! Thanks for further solidifying that we made a smart choice
Thread: "Opinions on Snoo Bassinet?"
I went with the cradlewise over the snoo after doing a ton of reading about both. I ultimately felt that my baby will likely be big (because the family has a history of large babies) and we wouldn’t get enough use out of the snoo. I also didn’t like the idea of having to strap the baby into the snoo. I won’t know how it goes until the baby arrives in April though.

I also pre-ordered the cradlewise in my first trimester as it’s cheaper the earlier you purchase it. Looking forward to seeing if it lives up to all the hype as the Facebook group has tonnnnssss of good reviews.

We were deciding between the snoo and Cradlewise and ended up going with Cradlewise since it turns into a crib and can be used up to 24 months. Baby is due Saturday so we haven’t put it to the test yet but so far we are very impressed with how easy it was to setup and all of the features it comes with. It has great reviews so fingers crossed it works out!

Don’t get the snoo! Get Cradlewise - absolutely life changing.

We rented a SNOO for baby number 2. He seemed to like it and it did help I think. He slept through the night regularly at 8 months which seems long but my first didn’t sleep through the night regularly until he was 14 months old. The first one was super rough, colicky and teethed early. I don’t know if SNOO was around then but if it was I did not know about it. He still struggles to sleep now and is almost 10 years old. I think he is just wired that way. Hoping when he is a teenager he sleeps more. For baby number 3 we were gifted a SNOO by a friend that was moving and couldn’t take it with them due to space limitations. Current baby did not seem to like the side to side movement very much and we broke down and bought a Cradlewise one night after spending hours trying to get her to sleep, because she likes bouncing on a yoga ball. None of my children have been good sleepers but I do think these smart bassinets have helped some. Take that with a grain of salt I guess. I think it is worth a try.

I went with Cradlewise. It lasts for *two years* and you have a lot more control about how much the bassinet helps them, from sensitivity to starting to rocking speed. You also have control over the white noise, including it’s volume. The white noise on the SNOO can’t be turned off, and it’s not rated safe (too loud). The cradlewise also gives you the ability to use music, and has a built in video baby monitor.

We have a cradle wise and love it. She’s almost one and is a great sleeper. She will also sleep well without it when traveling, but I appreciate that when she does wake up at night she’s comforted back to sleep. we also don’t need to spend a ton of time rocking her to sleep. She also naps better at home than at daycare but it could be bc she gets FOMO

I have a cradlewise and am a fan. It transitions from a bassinet to a cradle and can be used up to the age of 2.

I recommend looking into the Cradlewise! Similar to a snoo and around the same price but lasts until baby is 2!
