I saw the yoyo3 was recently recalled? Nit sure if it’s this one you were looking at https://www.gov.uk/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls/product-recall-stokke-r-yoyo-3-pram-2410-0182

The Yoyo has quite a complicated fold. I'm not really sure why people love them so much, I assume it gets easier? Can't really comment since I'm just researching myself, but from my personal short experience with both I much preferred the Butterfly 2

Thread: "Opinions wanted!: Tossing up between Joolz Aer+ and Yoyo3 for our pram. "

I have bought and sold a yoyo2 as I didn’t like the fold so I wanted to try the Joolz aer plus. Now, I saw the new features on the new yoyo I have just got myself one…having got both strollers IMO the yoyo 3 out shines the joolz. And here’s why. With Yoyo, I’m able to easily take off and put on fabrics again for washing. And it has the small pocket for handy storage for my phone and keys. With joolz, I’m always having to place my things in the cup holder or my backpack. That “pocket” behind the seat on the joolz fits absolutely nothing maybe a small thin book… basically it’s useless. The joolz fold is great but the hood opens up as the stroller opens so I’m always having to pull it back every single time, if you get in and out a lot it can get annoying. So yes to me, joolz is kinda a 2step as well I don’t like on the joolz how difficult it is to remove the seat fabric to clean. As well, if anyone has ever managed to pull it apart, you’ll see the seat support is a piece of plastic held together with tape, on such a premium travel stroller I was honestly surprised to see that. And lastly we took this stroller to Malaysia and Thailand… and boy it got hot in there. So I look forward to using the mesh seat as well as the better fold of the handle down of the yoyo alongside with all the other small upgrades

It’s only some of them though. We bought one idk 2 months ago and it was fine, not one of the batches in the recall. I still think I’d try the Joolz aer+ because folding the yoyo is quite fiddly.

Do you have a Nordstrom near you? I’d highly recommend going in person to try them out. We preferred the Butterfly over the yoyo but you might feel differently.

Thread: "Stokke yoyo3 newborn pack vs babyzen newborn pack "

Hey there! There are a couple of key differences between the YOYO³ and YOYO² frames, but also the canopies. On the YOYO³ newborn pack, the canopy has some cool upgrades: 1. **Ventilation Flap**: There’s a flap you can open to reveal a mosquito net underneath. It provides a perfect for airflow while keeping bugs out. 2. **Sun Protection**: The canopy now extends further, giving extra shade for those sunny strolls. Hope that helps clear things up! Let me know if you’ve got more questions.

Thread: "Minu v2/joolz/nuna for car/travel"

We love our Minu v2 so much. It’s a great option for short trips that involve a car and mostly smooth pavement. We use it for appointments, shopping and travel. The Vista v2 is used for proper walks and/or all day non-car based trips. The Minu is really nimble for restaurants or appointments where you don’t want a giant stroller taking up all of the space. It’s not brilliant imo for going on an exercise or fresh air type of walk. A Cruz or Vista will be more enjoyable, however we use our Minu as a city stroller in Edinburgh (depending on the route) and London and it’s very good. I think the YoYo or Joolz might be slightly better for the tube, but I wasn’t about to splash out for a couple weeks a year. We added the bassinet and the Minu really shines with this. It’s probably our most used piece of gear and totally worth it if you are eager to leave the house often. For the car seat we have the aria and it’s nice to be able to click it into the frame without an adapter. I *think* you need adapters for the Minu to use the Aria and the bassinet, but they’re small and fold down nicely. I haven’t seen the V3 in person, but I don’t love it from what I’ve seen in videos. The extra hinge looks like you’ll lose some of the sturdiness that the v2 has going for it. Also it’s kind of pointless because you’re almost certainly going to be asked to gate check, so I’d prefer to have a slightly wider folded stroller that has fewer moving parts to potentially loosen up. The flatter recline is tempting, but isn’t enough of a selling point for me. Also we love the travel bag system that UB has. Our Minu bag is really easy to use at the airport so I don’t mind gate checking.

I have tested both in store 3 times and I swear watched and read every review! 🤣 I’ve gone back and forth a lot but I honestly think I’m going with the Yoyo3. I loved the feel of the Aer+ and the intuitive fold, but now that I know how to fold the Yoyo it honestly doesn’t seem that bad and it’s so easy and compact to carry. The Yoyo seems so sturdy and not tippy compared to other travel strollers, and I actually think the two-step fold is cool because it turns the stroller into a “chair” after the first step of folding the canopy. I love that it will be easy for air travel without having to prove whether it fits in overhead bins. Edit to add: the Yoyo Black Friday sale is great too - unless the Aer+ goes on similar markdown, I’m going for the Yoyo!

I have the bugaboo butterfly which is another cabin approved one and I love it - it’s very similar to the aer. Not sure if the yoyo3 is one handed fold but that’s been absolutely essential for me with the butterfly!!

Thread: "Travel stroller recommendations"

Agree that Yoyo fold is annoying, definitely two handed and lots of practice to make it smooth. Adding the Yoyo basket has really bad access with the stroller frames’ crossbars impeding access. You can really only get to it from the back and only small things from the front. Also, IIRC, the rated weight limit for the basket on Yoyo / Yoyo2 is 10 lbs. The Yoyo3 supposedly ups it to 22 lbs, but with the same limited access (i.e. I don’t think the frame has been changed in this respect). u/chocftw - You can adjust the seat back to be more upright. 1) Set the backboard to fully reclined, then loop Velcro straps for the backboard on the respective o-rings and tighten to the respective posts. If referring to pictures - [Yoyo US 6+ Manual](https://www.stokke.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-stokke-master-catalog/default/dw90d7ed3d/documents/inriverdocuments/1063380%20YOYO3%206%20PLUS%20user%20guide%20US%20-%20WEB.pdf) - refer to page 26, image 1 for full recline. Take a set of the O-rings and tether it to the posts in Page 21, Image 2.

Yeah, I am also trying to figure out why everyone loves the yoyo so much. Maybe the durability is very high? Because it seems to be a bit dated (no one hand folding and full recline)

Thread: "Yoyo3 newborn pack or bassinet"

We had the yoyo3 and were using the car seat attachments, but broke down and bought the newborn pack right before the trip we’re about to take! You can fold the stroller with the newborn pack attached, and I’m not sure if you can with the bassinet. It’s still pretty compact!
