Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 is a compact travel stroller designed for easy transport and storage, featuring a one-hand fold and a lightweight frame. It is suitable from birth with a newborn pack and can fit in overhead compartments on planes.

Pros (+)

  • Compact and lightweight for easy travel
  • One-hand fold is convenient for busy parents
  • Fits in overhead compartments on planes

Cons (−)

  • Limited storage basket weight capacity
  • Not ideal for everyday use or rough terrain
  • May not accommodate larger toddlers comfortably

Why parents like it

Many parents praise its compact size, making it ideal for air travel and navigating tight spaces. The one-hand fold feature is frequently highlighted as a game changer for busy parents on the go.

Common complaints

Some parents note that the weight limit for the storage basket is only 10 lbs, which can be limiting. A few also mention that while it's great for travel, it may not be the best choice for everyday use.

Best for

Parents who need a lightweight, compact stroller for travel and city use. The tradeoff is that it may not offer the same durability or storage capacity as larger strollers.

Bottom line

The Babyzen YOYO2 is perfect for parents who travel frequently, though it may fall short for everyday errands.

We used a babyzen yoyo from birth but also skipped the bucket seat

Yoyo two step fold is nbd. Just do the first one when your kid is in the stroller and it becomes a one step fold 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thread: "Travel dad question - what’s the point of a travel stroller, especially one that fits in an overhead compartment?"

If you’re on an international flight, arriving into the US, often cases all items (including gate checked strollers) will end up at bag claim, after passport control. So, if you gate checked your stroller on that delayed flight back from Cabo with your pregnant wife, you have to schlep it with all your carry-on bags and your 18 month old from what always seems to be the furthest gate, wait in the stupidly long line at LAX, and then after you clear passport control, and only then, can you go pick up your gate checked stroller. Literally on that uber ride home, I bought a stroller that fits in the overhead compartment.

Thread: "[ON] Lightweight/travel stroller recommendations please"

BabyZen YoYo2 Honestly it’s the best out there. I use it regularly for travel on planes and trains and it’s the stroller we keep in the car for trips to the mall etc. It fits in the overhead bins on every size aircraft and is lightweight enough that I can carry my 27lb son in one hand and fold and carry it in the other. When I travel solo its super convenient. It unfolds so easily too. The train attendants are always so impressed with the unfold. I didn’t even look at any others because the babyzen is just so good and the wheels are the best over non flat terrain. It’s sturdy and manoeuvres really well and is easy to handle. Downsides are no handlebars and the lack of shade cover but it’s enough to cover my kids face. I bought a handlebar on Amazon that matches the stroller seamlessly and folds with it on and I bought an extended sunshade cover for those extra sunny days that also can fold up with the stroller. I don’t see the cost as a con because it was well worth it for the quality of the stroller and the use we get out of it. We could afford it without going broke but if cost is an issue for you then there are other alternatives. It’s one of the best baby gear things we got and each time I use it I’m so thankful I got it. If you travel lots, you want the baby zen.

Oops your right. I thought they were because of the turtle carseat which is made by Nuna. Weird stuff. Dragonfly was simply a suggestion since they already asked about bugaboo, but I'd still hands down pick the yoyo2

I've heard tons of great feedback about Ergobaby Metro+, so happy to hear it's working out for you! For anyone else still on the hunt though, definitely worth looking into [Bugaboo Butterfly or the BABYZEN YOYO2 both](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProductsDiscussion/comments/1q2vifi/best_strollers_for_travel_in_2026/) are really lightweight, fold down quick, and handle travel like a breeze. The Butterfly in particular has that solid, high-quality feel to it while still being compact enough for overhead storage.

Bugaboo is not owned by Nuna. Also the Dragonfly does not fold up small enough for an aircraft overhead locker, which I assume OP means by “airplane travel”.

Agree that Yoyo fold is annoying, definitely two handed and lots of practice to make it smooth. Adding the Yoyo basket has really bad access with the stroller frames’ crossbars impeding access. You can really only get to it from the back and only small things from the front. Also, IIRC, the rated weight limit for the basket on Yoyo / Yoyo2 is 10 lbs. The Yoyo3 supposedly ups it to 22 lbs, but with the same limited access (i.e. I don’t think the frame has been changed in this respect). u/chocftw - You can adjust the seat back to be more upright. 1) Set the backboard to fully reclined, then loop Velcro straps for the backboard on the respective o-rings and tighten to the respective posts. If referring to pictures - [Yoyo US 6+ Manual](https://www.stokke.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-stokke-master-catalog/default/dw90d7ed3d/documents/inriverdocuments/1063380%20YOYO3%206%20PLUS%20user%20guide%20US%20-%20WEB.pdf) - refer to page 26, image 1 for full recline. Take a set of the O-rings and tether it to the posts in Page 21, Image 2.

Thread: "Looking for travel and quick errand stroller. Uppababy Minu v2 or nuna trvl?"

Go for one you can put in the overhead on a plane. Tried the Yoyo2, Bugaboo Ant and Bugaboo Butterfly. They all fit. Most airlines recognize the yoyo and allows it without asking any questions. The Ant is the best imo, bought it for a trip but ended up using it full time instead of our fullsize (unless you’re gonna encounter rough terrain). And its the only one of the three you can use both front and rear facing

Thread: "Travel Stroller Question: Ergobaby Metro+, Inglesina Quid or BabyZen Yoyo2"

I don’t have a bag for either of my strollers, and I’ve always gate checked them even if they fit in the overhead bins. My guess is that the metro+ won’t fit in the Yoyo bag because it’s bigger. I’ve heard that the IKEA Rackla bag is a good option as it fits the Bugaboo Butterfly which, I think, is bigger than the Metro+.

I would hold off on the most recent Yoyo: [https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbes-personal-shopper/2024/11/14/stokke-yoyo3-stroller-recall/](https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbes-personal-shopper/2024/11/14/stokke-yoyo3-stroller-recall/) We love our Yoyo2, but both are probably great.
