The Babysense Video Monitor V65 is a non-WiFi video baby monitor that features a split-screen capability for viewing multiple cameras simultaneously. It includes a two-way microphone and night vision functionality, making it suitable for monitoring your baby from a distance.
Pros (+)
- Reliable split-screen functionality for monitoring multiple cameras
- Non-WiFi design enhances security against hacking
- Good battery life and night vision capabilities
Cons (−)
- Lacks WiFi connectivity for remote viewing
- Only connects to the included camera, limiting flexibility
- Some parents find the setup less intuitive than WiFi options
Why parents like it
Many parents appreciate the split-screen feature that allows them to monitor multiple rooms or angles at once. The non-WiFi design is also favored for its security, as it reduces the risk of hacking.
Common complaints
Some parents feel limited by the absence of WiFi, as it restricts remote viewing options. A few also mention that the monitor only connects to the camera it comes with, which may not be ideal for those wanting more flexibility.
Parents who prefer a secure, non-WiFi monitor for reliable in-home use. The tradeoff is limited remote access and flexibility compared to WiFi-enabled options.
The Babysense V65 is a dependable video monitor with great features, but its lack of WiFi may not suit everyone’s needs.

Thread: "Man Talking To My Daughter Through Owlet Camera"
Once I heard about this happening to a bunch of people I switched the dual screen baby sense camera(non-WiFi) and it’s been great and so is the customer service team. I’d be traumatized I’m so sorry.

Babysense. We use our split screen monitor every day. Highly recommend.
Thread: "Best Non-Wifi Baby Monitor"
Infant optics doesn’t use WiFi and can flip between two cameras. Babysense is non-WiFi that does split screen
Thread: "baby monitor for twins with split screen (NO SUBSCRIPTIONS!)"
Babysense split screen baby monitor but it doesn’t have wifi. I can walk a good distance and still have signal though.
Thread: "Baby monitors"
We have a non WiFi camera, it's baby sense and it only connects the camera and the monitor that came with it you can't connect any other devices. We still hear things through the baby monitor that are definitely not in our house. One night my partner heard music and another night I heard a man talking, but it was not very good quality. We think it's just interference. I was wondering whether wherever the interference was coming from if their device was picking up random baby crying lol.

I’ll have to check that camera out as well. Currently looking into non WiFi options.
Thread: "Is a video monitor actually better than just audio?"
No necessarily safety but I found our video monitor great. My first was such a bad sleeper as a baby and small toddler so it was helpful to be able to see what was going on when she cried out, for example was she just crying out in her sleep and was now resettling herself or was she up and needed some help with getting back to sleep? Saved me having to get out of bed and go through everytime I heard her.
Thread: "Best Baby Monitor: What Do Parents Recommend?"
We have a BabySense non-wifi video monitor. Very similar to the Infant Optics one in terms of price and quality! We have never had an issue and battery life on the monitor itself has been fantastic. We have 2 cameras so I don’t have to unmount the one in the nursery for travel, which is convenient. It’s easy for grandparents and babysitters to navigate.
Thread: "Please be careful with WiFi baby monitors"
Yea it’s scary!! Stories like this is why I chose a non WiFi baby monitor. In case anyone needs a recommendation, we have the “Babysense V43: Video Baby Monitor” , it has two cameras and is split screen so it’s great if you want to watch your baby in his crib while your toddler plays in her playroom. Or in my case, we have a camera positioned over each crib so we can monitor our twins at the same time. It also can be viewed as single screen. It has multiple volume settings. And also can play lullabies or white noise if you want it too, or you can use it to speak to your baby.

I got the Baby Sense video monitor off Amazon, it was a model that came with two cameras, and can do split screen if you want it to, or switch between cameras. It is non-Wifi. We love it! Super clear image, it has a great resolution on dark mode. Has always worked for us, and we travel with it.
Thread: "Is a Baby Monitor really necessary?"
I like knowing if my baby is actually sleeping, so I like having a video monitor. Sometimes she’s rolling around in her crib for hours not making a sound.
Thread: "Baby monitors seem like a scam with how atrociously poor quality they are"
I like our Babysense one. It’s not wifi, battery lasts a good while, has a two way mic and the night vision is great. We don’t use the white noise function but that’s also there. Range wise it goes from the front of our house all the way to the back door over two floors. It came with two cameras but we only use one. Can split screen if you have two babies so can watch both at once. We wanted to avoid wifi at all costs and not have to use our phone to look at the monitor. I like to browse when he’s in bed so I can just set up the little video screen on the coffee table and still browse my phone!
Thread: "Baby Monitor(s) - BabySense regret?"
I've been using the split screen Babysense monitor for about 3.5 years. My only gripe is that you can't zoom in split-screen mode, you can only zoom when viewing one camera at a time. It doesn't bother me now that my twins are older, but when they were infants and I wanted to check on them while sleeping, it was a little inconvenient having to exit split-screen mode, zoom, then go back into split-screen mode. Otherwise, it has been a solid device for us.

Same! I was surprised I had to scroll so far to see someone say this.
Thread: "Video vs just audio baby monitor"
We have a video one that doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi, no one can hack into it but we still get video! It’s by baby sense. It’s worth it to me because if she’s making noises I can look to see if her eyes are closed and she’s just fussing about while sleeping vs actually awake
Thread: "What baby monitors are you using? "
I’ve been happy with our Baby Sense one too! I honestly use it some even when we’re in the same room at night because the dark mode lets me see her so well and figure out whether she’s actually up or in active sleep.
Thread: "Dual Baby Monitor"
This one has been perfect for us. 2+ years later the monitor battery doesn’t last as long, but I can trust the 2 & 4 year olds (21 month gap) to stay in bed once they’re down and don’t really need to carry it around all night. I hope to get another 2ish years out of it as we move the camera from the 4 yo’s room to a new nursery for #3 due this summer.
Thread: "Favorite Baby Monitor?"
BabySense on Amazon. No WiFi so it’s not “hack-able”
Thread: "Baby Monitors - To spend or not to spend. "
I got the Babysense Max View 5.5” Split Screen Full HD 1080p Video Baby Monitor and have been quite happy with it. I wanted something not connected to the internet, and I wanted a dedicated device (and battery) for the monitor instead of having to use an app on my phone. I’ve been impressed with the night vision video quality, and actually quite like the built-in night light functionality. My one minor complaint is the lowest backlight brightness setting is still pretty bright in the middle of the night when the screen is inches from my face. I’m also pretty blind without my glasses so perhaps it’s less of an issue for those with naturally good vision.

Our babysense is great. Non WiFi, easy to use, picture is great. Very happy with it.
Thread: "Baby monitor options?"
We have the “Babysense Split Screen Video Baby Monitor V43.” It doesn’t connect to the wifi and there is no app option. I know you said it’s important to you to connect via iPhone but it’s been really nice not to because my partner & I hand off baby duty with the monitor. Whoever has the monitor is on baby duty and the other person can disconnect and not be obsessively checking in on the baby. It also comes with 2 cameras. One is set up in the nursery and we travel with the second one. A few other neat features: - you can turn off the audio and video but still see a green to red light tracker. If it’s red, the baby is crying. - It has a microphone so you can speak to the baby from the other room. We haven’t used this feature bc our LO is still young but I can see us needing it in the future - the resolution is great during the day and nighttime. You don’t have to stare too deeply to know that LO is still breathing
Thread: "So my baby monitor was hacked."
Totally agree. We love our Babysense video monitors (Amazon) if you’re starting over! No wifi. :)
Thread: "Monitor Question: Babysense or infant optics?"
I have a baby sense mode that doesn’t do split screen. Toggling between the 2 cameras isn’t much of an issue. In your situation I’d probably get a cheap sound-only baby monitor for downstairs
Thread: "Baby monitor for twins?"
I second the Babysense. We went with the split screen one also.
Thread: "Non wifi baby monitors"
Adding to this comment because we have this one too as we have two kids and it works well with both cameras. Wish we'd got it with the first since we had to buy new when we had the second and the monitor is so much better quality. That said, our first was a lullaby bay monitor and it did the job. It survived many falls down the stairs and the battery life is still great. Would say the temp sensors on all the cameras we've used l have always been rubbish so don't rely on them.

Old style babysense ones. They are 5yrs old and used every night and are still going strong.
