Baby Jogger City Tour 2

The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is a lightweight travel stroller designed for easy portability and convenience. It features a compact fold, a carrying bag, and is compatible with various infant car seats.

Pros (+)

  • Lightweight and easy to carry
  • Compact fold fits in overhead bins
  • User-friendly for travel scenarios

Cons (−)

  • Limited weight capacity for older toddlers
  • Fewer features compared to premium models
  • Some parents may find it less sturdy

Why parents like it

Parents praise its lightweight design, making it ideal for travel. The compact fold allows it to fit easily in overhead bins on flights.

Common complaints

Some parents express concerns about the 33lb weight limit, which may not accommodate larger toddlers. A few also mention that it lacks some features found in more premium models.

Best for

Parents looking for a travel-friendly stroller that is easy to carry and store. The tradeoff is that it may not accommodate larger children as effectively as some other strollers.

Bottom line

The City Tour 2 is a great travel stroller for parents who need something lightweight and compact, though it may not suit larger toddlers.

Thread: "Looking for travel and quick errand stroller. Uppababy Minu v2 or nuna trvl?"

Neither. Neither fits in an overhead bin on a plane. Some may let you get away with it, but there's a good chance you'll be gate checking it. You're paying that price for the name, but if you're actually looking for a travel stroller, there's better options. Check out the Bugaboo Butterfly, Babyzen Yoyo, and Baby Jogger City Tour 2. If I were in the market for a travel stroller right now, I'd personally choose the Bugaboo Butterfly.

Hi. I’ve been working in this industry over 20 years and I have opinions lol. Joolz Aer. Bugaboo butterfly. Inglesina quid3. Baby Jogger City Tour. Joie nutmeg. Nuna TRVL LX. All of these are very solid options. If you go to my Instagram, I have a video on the quid that I put up yesterday and there was also a giveaway and a discount code. And full disclosure I do not make anything from that code if you use it it’s just to help people save some money. 🫡

We have the baby jogger city tour 2 which we've been very happy with. It fully reclines and is 6.8kg in the bag. I haven't taken it as carry on yet, but it does claim to be airline approved for carry on.

Circling back - ended up purchasing the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 and absolutely love it so far! It’s lightweight, folds up easily, and comes with a bag for storage in the overhead bin. Another thing I really like about it is that it goes from nearly fully upright for curious kiddos all the way to a near flat recline for sleeping.

Thread: "Side by Side - Baby Jogger City Tour, Zoe Twin, or Mountain Buggy Duet?"

Just from this list, the Zoe. I’ve enjoyed every Baby Jogger stroller I’ve used, including the city tour single, but the 33lb per seat weight limit knocks it right off the list imo The mountain buggy fold is an issue for me- fold and overall stroller weight became my main priorities when shopping for a side by side double and a one hand fold is/was a lifesaver. If I had to choose today I’d get a Valco Slim Twin for the combo of high seat weight limits (48lbs each), extremely easy fold, better wheels/push than Zoe, lightweight/compact when folded, extendable canopies and adjustable handlebar. But that’s not what you’re asking so ignore me!

We’ve got the baby jogger city tour (not sure if it’s 2) that we took on an interstate plane trip. Took it on as carry on with no issues. It’s now our car pram- takes up hardly any space, easy to put up/down and able to lay almost completely flat so good for naps. Only downside is the small basket underneath. Great pram with no issues so far

We love our Baby Jogger City Tour. Lightweight, folds tiny, but still fairly sturdy. Also extends into a lie flat situation for naps. It got us through two month-long trips to Europe and is still going strong.

Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Just travelled to Disney with 2yr old son and travelled both legs with stroller as carry-on with us during the trip. Also, can handle lots of weight for shopping and backpacks. Comfortable to sleep in (flat mode) 5/5 stars

Nuna TRVL works with the Pipa and their products are generally great. How old is your kiddo? We have a Babyjogger city tour 2 and used that + a travel carseat pretty early on (but we always checked our carseat, never carried it on, so we didn't care about the carseat working with the travel stroller.

We have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2, it’s been to Europe and on domestic USA trips with us several times, both in cabin and checked at the gate, my 4yr old sometimes still sits in it, my 2yr old loves it. The level of recline available is awesome for naps and it has held up great on all kinds of terrain. My kids sometimes sit together on it (combined weight around 70lbs) and it does fantastic. If we were to have another kid, I honestly would not bother getting a different stroller, I would just get the car seat adapters for whatever infant car seat we choose. My only con is that I wish the sunshade was a little bit bigger as we live somewhere quite sunny, but it’s really not a deal breaker.

Big fan of the CT2 stroller. Took it on multiple international trips; easily fits overheard and can be carried on a roller bag with one hand (have perfected this). Has fantastic manoeuvrability compared to many of the top traveler strollers, and I preferred the handlebar material. Once you get the hang of unfolding it with the latch it’s super easy. Partner ended up buying a liner to make it slightly comfier for Bub, and make sure you adjust the shoulder straps to go lower on Bub as the position they’ll be in are too high for a 5 month old. For the price it’s a great stroller. (Baby Bunting will price match +5% - it’s worth shopping around online to see what you can get, and usually on Amazon it’s cheap.)

We have the baby jogger and it's travelled the world with us since bub was 9mo and most recently at 21mo and it's been perfect. Small basket is annoying but that's the price of having a pram which is light and folds small. No issues with having it in the overhead on domestic or international flights (4 different airlines), it folds and opens one handed and the back can lie completely flat which made it brilliant for napping on the go. I also think the sunshade is a decent size for a travel pram. I'm sure they're all great and this is the only travel pram I've owned but it's really wonderful. We keep it in the car when we're not travelling and it's an ideal every day pram for my now toddler, she can climb in and out herself so gets to decide when she wants to rest her legs at the zoo or whatever.

I am traveling to Europe with my 5 month old in a couple of weeks and after trying every single travel pram I could lay my hands on I have bought the bambini paris - it has a very easy one hand fold and unfold (so many I tried had additional clips for the unfold), has a lie flat seat where the recline is controlled by a lever not a strap, has a decent seat length including adjustable foot rest, has a peep window in the hood (a must for me since I'm not really used to bubs facing away from me yet), comes with a travel bag and is meant to be fine in the overhead locker (haven't tested this out yet!). It also has a lap bar and the seat feels decently comfortable. I've been on a couple of short outings with it in the last few days, and the handling seems okay so far. It's also currently on sale on the Bambini website. Baby Kingdom seem to have the best selection of travel prams to try out. I spent a while there a couple of weeks ago testing the folding etc. I remember liking the baby jogger - according to my notes it was the unfold that put me off and the recljne was one of thr adjustable strap types. I think I tried the joolz too but I can't remember what my issue with it was - maybe I had just already set on the Bambini by then
