Zoe Twin+

The Zoe Twin+ is a lightweight side-by-side double stroller designed for easy maneuverability in urban environments. It features a compact fold, compatibility with infant car seats, and is suitable for children from birth up to 50 pounds each.

Pros (+)

  • Lightweight and easy to carry
  • Compact fold fits in small trunks
  • Maneuverable in tight spaces

Cons (−)

  • Struggles on uneven surfaces
  • Difficult for naps in the seats
  • Limited storage space

Why parents like it

Parents appreciate the Zoe Twin+'s lightweight frame, which makes it easy to carry and navigate through tight spaces. The stroller's compact fold is particularly praised for fitting into small trunks and for travel purposes.

Common complaints

A few parents report that the stroller struggles with bumps and uneven terrain, making it less suitable for all environments. Additionally, some mention that it can be challenging for children to nap comfortably in the seats.

Best for

Parents who need a lightweight stroller for twins or siblings in urban settings. The tradeoff is that it may not perform well on uneven surfaces.

Bottom line

The Zoe Twin+ is a solid choice for parents looking for a lightweight, compact double stroller, but it may not handle rough terrain well.

Yes x a million. There are times when you need to contain both kids. Recommend a side by side instead of tandem so you can see both kids at once. Zoe Twin is the GOAT

My 2u2 hated the inline seats. Absolutely despises them. So we can only use a side by side or wagon. But I would just relax and take a breather. You really don’t need a stroller right away, especially f you have a single. I also think it will be extremely challenging for you to fine a stroller with two detachable seats (like a front and a back one) that will fit in the trunk of a Prius. I had a midsize (Acura RDX) and mine just barely fit in the trunk with both seats. It wouldn’t fit with the bsssinet We have the Zoe twin and it's very compact and fits in small trunks

Thread: "Best double stroller?"

Here’s what we did if you want to copy: 1. Get Graco infant car seats because their click connect system opens you up to a ton of different base and stroller options plus safe and affordable 2. find a Graco ready 2 grow tandem on Facebook marketplace- you can usually get them for a reasonable price. The tandem is great for when they’re in the buckets because it makes running into the store SO much easier. But also this phase is so temporary so don’t spend a ton of money on a tandem setup. 3. think about your lifestyle and what’s important to you. For us, we went with the Zoe twin because it’s narrow and very lightweight. It also has a deep recline, so they’ve been able to use it from pretty early on with infant inserts. It has great steering and folds easily too! We also found a bob double on Facebook marketplace for a great price. Incredible suspension and they’re ALMOST old enough for us to run with them, but in the meantime it’s been great for walks. The bugaboo donkey 5 can accommodate side by side infant car seats, but you must be careful about which brand you go with as not all are adaptable (in my research, it was usually the more expensive brands that worked with it…). People in this group love it- I’ve never used it. Cons: it is a bit bulkier/wider compared to some. VERY expensive, and not as widely available on the secondhand market. A pro: it can “shrink” to a one seater which is nice for when you need to go somewhere with just one. I believe there’s also a Canadian brand that can do side by side infant car seats and is a little bit less money, but I can’t remember the name. Most side by sides do NOT allow for double car seats. Other popular recs on this sub: mountain buggy duo, city mini GT, bumbleride indie twin. At some point, you’ll probably want to get a cheap double umbrella stroller for quick daycare drop offs when they’re too big for infant car seats but also not quite great walkers yet (if you’re doing daycare). Hope this helps!

Thread: "New parent question: Are stroller over $500 really worth it? Is a more expensive stroller always better?"

I've had my vista for 4 years & it's still in perfect condition, except for a few scratches & me needing to clean the seat. I expect to use it for at least 3 more years with the next baby. I can absolutely tell the difference with maneuverability & the seats and straps look so much more comfortable compared to other strollers. Plus I like that it lays down completely flat. I also have the Zoe duo & that thing is a nightmare for naps. Nowhere for the feet to go comfortably & now that my 3yr old is tall her head falls off, so literally no naps for her in that one. Plus they can move themselves to sit upright, even if I have it laid back. I really like that they can't do that in the vista. Also the storage sucks, so I rarely use that one if I have to take anything other than water with me

I definitely do love side by side strollers in the sense that they're easier to push. However, I was never warned about how much fighting they do side by side. It's a lot of the toddler complaining about the baby touching the toddler and being on the wrong side. Definitely something to consider. The only way I resolved this is by doing lots of snacks in the stroller.

Thread: "Are double strollers worth it? What do you recommend?"

We skipped the double stroller. Instead we did a lot of babywearing the baby while pushing the toddler in the stroller, and we got a ride-along board attachment (ours is a universal one that has a little seat) for times we wanted to put the baby in the stroller and let the toddler ride. It was also around that age that our toddler got really good at scootering on his Micro Mini scooter and we found we could trust him on it for short, familiar distances. I did observe I was one of few parents in my parent friend group that skipped the double stroller, though, so for many people, the containment strategy of seat belting and pushing both must be worth it. If you need something that is a double but very lightweight, look into Zoe strollers. They don't have the \*best\* handling over uneven sidewalks (though I think they now sell upgraded wheels) but for a double, they are light and pretty narrow and could be useful not just in the city but traveling, too. But yeah, you can definitely make do without (or try to and see how it goes).

I’m also due with my 2nd in September with a 15 month age gap! I’ve been looking at the Zoe double stroller. I really want a side by side because I’ve heard that the tandem ones are bulky. There are several attachments that you can get with the Zoe and it goes up to 60lbs per seat.

Thread: "Double Stroller -- Cybex Gazelle or Mockingbird or ...?"

You mention not wanting the vista because of buying a second seat? But that’s the same deal with mockingbird. The vista rumble seat comes with the adapters. You would need the upper adapters, but that’s not the biggest deal. I’ve also found that the Uppababy stuff is so darn popular that the used market is flooded with the stuff. I couldn’t find the mockingbird used, but I did get my vista in perfect shape with everything I needed for my twins with two bassinets and seats and all covers and ride along board for $550. I also was able to get the Chicco car seat adapter and use those for both car seats. I’d not get the Nuna since the second seat takes up the entire basket. I’d also consider a side by side double like the Zoe twin. Or get a single stroller you love and a ride along board depending on the age gap between kids.

Just a note for OP if you don’t want to get the bassinet attachment, the regular toddler seat can be reclined and you can add a cheap toddler insert to it instead. That’s what we are doing. Babies are currently 21 months and 3 months. We also got the cup holder thing for the handle bars and then a universal snack tray for my toddlers handle bars. My gripes are that with the upper toddler seat in recline position for infant, the drink holder isn’t very easily accessible. The foot rest part sorta blocks it, but it’s not infuriating or anything. What IS infuriating about it is the storage basket underneath. There is this support bar that is very much in the way in my opinion. We have a pretty large diaper bag with 2under2 and I’m forever jamming it down there and then it’s just kinda hard to access things. Ride quality for the kiddos is great. Only time I’ve had trouble pushing it in terrain was when I was trying to push it in literal mud 😂 long story on how that came about but it took two people to carry the dang thing back to the car. On compact dirt, light gravel and sidewalks/roads it’s fantastic.

I have a mocking bird and I do like it, but if I could go back, I would get a new Zoe twin with the car seat adapter for the baby. The mocking bird was great when we used the bassinet attachment for baby, but once we were done with that, we didn’t really use it much. It’s heavy and kinda clunky to put together. Takes up a bunch of space in a trunk too. I got a used Zoe twin off FB for a trip I was taking and have absolutely loved it! The Zoe is a bit more than the mocking bird (I think) but totally worth it imo. Or maybe even the bugaboo donkey- which I’ve never had it just seems perfect but it’s also crazy expensive

I like this because it’s safer for walking to school altogether and when it’s just me and the younger ones I can leave the extra seat at home. So glad to hear you think this is the best stroller!

We love our Zoe Twin+. For travel, you can’t beat it. It folds up pretty small and easily and only weighs 19 lbs, which is invaluable with dealing with planes and gate checking. I definitely recommend upgrading to the all-terrain tires. The ones it comes with are not good for anything except super smooth, indoor surfaces (like airports and malls). The all-terrain ones aren’t as much all-terrain as they are sufficient on uneven sidewalks. The recline and sunshades on the Zoe Twin+ are absolutely amazing and we used it as our daily driver from the time my second was 2.5 months old until my first stopped needing to consistently use a stroller (around age 3). We’ll be bringing with us to Disney next year when our girls are 3 and 5.

Besides upgrading to the all-terrain tires do you recommend any other add ons to buy? Do you worry about the weight of the seats only holding 45 lbs or don't you think that's a huge deal breaker? And did you buy the double stroller organizer from Zoe or just like a knock off brand from Amazon?

I highly recommend a side by side personally! I had the mockingbird and it’s so much harder to maneuver and all the pieces became such a pain to puzzle piece together. We switched to the Zoe twin and love it. Only complaint is that you definitely need to upgrade the wheels for them to go over rougher sidewalks. My kids also have a 20 month age gap.

Twin mom here too! Got the Zoe and returned…not great with bumps and can’t turn seats. Look into the StrollAir for twins! It’s incredible and comes with foot muffs for cold, mosquito nets, rain covers and the wheels are amazing. It’s close to same size as Zoe (width and seat width) So great on grass and sidewalks! 10/10 love! You can also turn the seats around to face you too which was a huge plus for me for those early months!!!

We hated our vista as a double. We love the double bob we got - it’s a bit bulkier but worth it IMO. We also really like our Wonderfold once the younger one can sit in the regular seat. Editing to add my bff has a Zoe double and that’s very nice too. It has smaller wheels that I’d say are best for pavement. That’s why we went with the double bob because we do more gravel paths and stuff that we need bigger wheels on. But the Zoe would be a really good option if you’re mostly on smooth pavement.

Let me first say that my SIL owns this stroller, we do not. We own the Valco Duo Trend and I’m only commenting because I went back and forth between the two and after having used her Zoe Twin off and on for a week, I am SO GLAD it’s not our everyday stroller. I think for traveling it would be fantastic!! It’s very lightweight and it gets the job done for sure, and for a great price! With that being said, it is not sturdy or the best quality in my opinion. We used it for walks around the block a lot while they visited, sometimes on sidewalks, sometimes just on the road, and either way it seemed to catch every rock and every edge and it was so frustrating. Overall it just felt very flimsy. In my opinion, if you are already planning on paying for the upgraded wheels, I would highly highly recommend the Valco Duo Trend. Once you’ve paid for the upgraded Zoe wheels, the price isn’t that different but the Valco is much higher quality and I find myself enjoying using it everyday. I purchased a couple of accessories for it and it’s been awesome!!!

I have had probably 6-7 different strollers, all used (except a Zoe double that I bought new). I would only pay for an expensive stroller once you’ve tried it for awhile and know it’s worth it. Some of the fancier ones I thought I would like ended up being totally wrong for me and my lifestyle. Others, like the $15 Target umbrella stroller, were worth way more than their price.
