Thread: "I hate my Doona"
I don’t have experience with the Doona but definitely think it’s a love it or hate it type of thing. BUT we have the Corso LE and love it. It’s so smooth and easy to use. Highly recommend. Especially if it’s 50% off—do it!!
Thread: "Stroller Recommendations"
Love my chicco corso LE stroller and key fit 35 car seat combo. Looks very nice, collapses great, and the car seat is one of the most highly rated seats year after year.
Thread: "What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco)"
Idk which stroller you have, but the corso LE looks and feels luxury for half the price!
Thread: "I hate my Doona"
At least you didn’t pay for it though! Could you still use it for small things and then use the stroller you buy? Did you already have another car seat
Thread: "I hate my Doona"
This kills me because I really thought it would work as an all in one. 😭 Again, the plan was to get a different one entirely (Chicco Corso LE) but then the family member who bought it decided to switch it up last minute without telling us. She seemed really excited about it and the idea of shipping it back to get a new one so late in the game made me anxious… so now we’re kind of stuck with it.
Thread: "Strollers?"
I’ve loved my Chicco Corso stroller (we got the travel system with the key fit 35). Just switched to a baby jogger city select 2 because we’re expecting #2 and it’s convertible. It’s fine, but definitely not the one handed open and close we’re used to with the chicco.
Thread: "Stroller Madness - Uppababy vs. Chicco vs. Graco"
Just co-opting this to say that I have had the Chicco Corso LE for over a year and really like it! It rides incredibly smooth and is a one handed fold and you don’t have to take the seat off to fold it if it is facing outward. I wish it had a bassinet attachment but that is my only complaint. We also got the Chicco Keyfit 35 car seat which is compatible with the stroller and makes a really great travel set! I remember the stroller mania- at the end of the day I think the mania exists because they are all great options and you will end up enjoying any of them!
Thread: "Strollers?"
I went to Nordstrom to test the higher end ones where we liked the Uppababys and the Thules and then went to target where they had some Chiccos and gracos set up on the floor but you can’t push them around. We ended up getting an Uppababy Cruz gently used on FB marketplace but I also liked the Chiccos at target. I didn’t personally like the gracos but that’s just personal preference as I know many are happy with theirs. Edit: I focused on the wheels, how sturdy they felt when I wiggled them side to side, and if they’d fit in our car. I also wanted a lie flat option and if possible an adjustable height handle bar because my husband and I are different heights.
Thread: "What stroller do you have for everyday use and do you like it?"
Depends what your lifestyle is honestly. I wondered if I made a mistake not getting a fancier stroller like the uppababy or mockingbird but I live in the woods basically, babywear a lot, and my baby ended up preferring baby wearing when little/a stroller wagon once he was bigger. I use a chicco corso for stores/dr appointments sometimes and it works great for my needs (folds easy and somewhat small, fairly lightweight, reversible seat, compatible with our carseat) but otherwise for the zoo and things like that he much prefers sitting up in the wagon.
Thread: "What stroller do you have for everyday use and do you like it?"
Chicco Corso. Huge shade canopy, reversible seat (forward facing and rear facing), decent storage basket underneath, one hand fold and self standing when folded, very smooth ride, adjustable footrest. It's a little light on the padding but I love it. It's my everyday stroller now (but I use a thrifted Citi Mini GT jogger for running). When he was smaller we had the basic Chicco frame stroller that his car seat just clicked into and that was awesome for errands and airport travel. Edit: the car seat will click into the Corso as well, but I was looking for basic, super light weight, no frills frame stroller when my baby was a newborn.
Thread: "Stroller help: Chicco brand"
If you can spare another $100 I would strongly consider getting the Chico corso travel system instead. I’ve been using my corso every day for the last 20 months and it’s holding up great. Reason being is that the corso seat can face both ways and lay flat. The Bravo is a great stroller but it only forward faces so your only option is to use the car seat until your baby is ready to forward face. Evenflo, Graco and Maxi Cosi have similar travel systems under $500 that can also lay flat and face both ways too. Mockingbird single stroller is another option around $400 that can be paired with a Chicco car seat if that’s what you’re prioritizing. ETA: just checked and the corso system is actually only $549 and 20% off on Chicco website btw
Thread: "Why is choosing a baby stroller so hard???"
I don’t think a unicorn stroller exists. Just make sure the one you get checks off your top priorities. You can always buy a generic cupholder or caddy. Also, don’t sleep on the less expensive brands! I really loved my chicco stroller, it just couldn’t convert to a double.
Thread: "What (realistically priced) strollers are good these days?"
We have a chicco corso and absolutely love it! Stroller is one hand fold
Thread: "Mockingbird stroller owners - give me the good & bad please!"
This! I tested out the Uppababy and the Mockingbird, but ultimately the Chicco Corso is what I loved the most. I also really love that the infant seat doesn't have a specific way you click it in. Other strollers require you to put the carseat on just right for it to click into place, which can be challenging as the seat is heavy and your child gets heavier. You can literally throw the Chicco carseat at the stroller and it'll click into place. My husband had so much fun doing that in BuyBuyBaby when we were testing out strollers and car seats. Between the one handed fold and how easy it is to secure the infant seat, I was sold. It also looks nice and is really great quality.
Thread: "What stroller do you have for everyday use and do you like it?"
I second thos, I LOVE my Chico Corso. It is super smooth and really easy to fold up and expand out, and the carseat is very easy to get in/out of the car and stroller also.
Thread: "Nuna tavo + pipa urbn travel system or the chicco corso primo cleartex system?"
We love our Chicco Corso! I never see it mentioned anywhere but it’s a great stroller. We had a used Uppababy to start and then were gifted this and it’s honestly almost as good for a much more reasonable price. I bought it not for the crunchy aspect (though that’s nice) but because the Keyfit 35 car seat uses the European belt path which makes it really easy yet safe to install without a base.
Thread: "Can someone de-influence me from the Uppababy Stroller?"
I got the Chicco Corso LE and I am happy with it so far, plus I get compliments on how nice it looks. I got the travel system on sale and it felt like a good compromise between a budget item and a luxury one. I haven’t used the stroller seat yet, only the bucket seat. But it looks like that will work well too.
Thread: "Confused by strollers, what do you recommend?"
I got the Chicco Corso LE Modular Travel System and love it. We live near a park in the city and have been doing lots of walks, it's been great on uneven pavement. Plus it comes with the keyfit 35 car seat which has a really high safety rating.
Thread: "Are “luxury” strollers actually worth it?"
We have a nuna trvl and a chicco corso LE. Car systems are about the same, but the chicco is SOOO much sturdier and I think the chicco system was about $500. The nuna travel system was around 800ish? Two fold. I love nuna for travels. So easy to fold, light weight. Therefore, makes the chicco bulky but sturdy. I take nuna for NYC subway rides. And the car seat is 10/10 worth it. I take chicco to the pumpkin patches and the tulip patches. My husband is 6’3” and stronger than me, he LOVES the chicco and thinks the nuna will fall part of it gets yanked too fast lmao. Honestly, if I ever do this again, I’d probably do the same, one and one. If space allows. Nowadays we spend so much time finding “one” but there’s nothing wrong with two!! Also- the chicco is bulky and husbands preference so he keeps it in his car!
Thread: "What (realistically priced) strollers are good these days?"
Yet another vote for the Corso!!
Thread: "Please help me choose between a Chicco or Mockingbird stroller."
The Chicco Corso has worked great for us and has that chic look like a Mockingbird.
Thread: "Strollers?"
We love the Chicco Corso and the keyfit 35 car seat!
Thread: "What (realistically priced) strollers are good these days?"
Seconding FB marketplace. I got a used Chicco Corso LE in great condition for $30. Purchased the car seat adapter from their website for $30 and got a Keyfit 35 car seat on sale for $140. So essentially got a $600 travel system for $200. Kidsy is also good for discounted open box items.
Thread: "Please help me choose between a Chicco stroller or the Mockingbird"
I second the Chicco Corso. As someone who has had A LOT of strollers, this one was hands down our favorite. It’s a very functional stroller, fantastic wheels, huge storage basket, lots of configurations for the kiddo. It works well on grass, unpaved walking trails, and light snow. Albee Baby has them for 20% off right now, if that helps make your decision. My only other thing to note, it had a pretty tall handle, that doesn’t telescope, so if you are very short it may not be your fave. But I’m 5’8”, husband is 6’4”, my mom is 5’6” and it was very comfortable for all of us.
Thread: "What (realistically priced) strollers are good these days?"
I love our chicco corso! So mobile and functional!
Thread: "I despise my stroller & need recs"
I love my Chicco Corso! It doesn’t convert to a double, so if more kids are in your future then that might be a consideration, but it’s perfect for a one and done or first kid.
Thread: "Stroller Recommendations"
I was coming here to say this! I know it goes over the $500 budget, but the system comes with the car seat.
Thread: "Chicco Corso and Bravo"
I really like my Corso. I didn't want baby in the car seat all the time, so the lay flat mode was great. I also liked that it wasn't a separate bassinet, so when baby was older and sitting up, we could still lay him flat when he fell asleep. It a very sturdy stroller, good wheels, can maneuver it one handed if I need to. I got a simple stroller organizer for the handle. I also like the parent facing seat, my baby loved seeing me for the first year. It was also warming for him that first winter. He's almost 2 and prefers outward facing now.
Thread: "Stroller Madness - Uppababy vs. Chicco vs. Graco"
We’ve had the corso LE since 2021, which I think might be when it was released because it had no reviews at the time. Occasionally my 3.5 year old still wants to sit in it and it’s held up very well. The lack of bassinet was something I was worried about when I was pregnant but it was such a non issue. We got the newborn kit, which has a foam triangle thing to make the seat almost completely flat. We’ve taken it on dirt trails and through grassy fields and never had any issues.
Thread: "What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco)"
I love my corso le!! We use it with the car seat and with the regular stroller attachment. A great stroller for a great price.
Thread: "Travel system - Graco or Chicco??"
We love our Corso. I honestly didn’t notice a huge difference between it and some of the higher end brands, and it looks very similar. We got the infant insert so that it could lay flat (instead of a bassinet) and that worked really well when my baby was tiny.
Thread: "What (realistically priced) strollers are good these days?"
Love the chicco corso sm it’s perfect for our needs and fits easily in the car. Also the car seat is a really comfy one for most babies
Thread: "Confused by strollers, what do you recommend?"
I was looking at this! Do you mind the non adjustable handle? I’m 5’1 and worried about the height.
Thread: "Stroller Recommendations [ON]"
Piggy backing on to agree with not getting the double stroller. I personally think it's pointless with anything bigger then a 3 year ago gap. Most people I've seen online and talked to hated the way a tandem worked with different aged kids generally and end up getting a side by side or wagon later anyways. I'm planning for the same age gap and just got a single stroller and I figured worst case ill get a board to add to the back when they're older. For stroller recommendations, I'd look into the Bugaboo Butterfly, ergo baby metro, uppababy Cruz or minu, or the chicco strollers. They're the ones I constantly hear good feedback on and would work well for your needs. I generally recommend avoiding strollers from Graco and Evenflo in terms of brands since they're just build with worst materials and are more prone to breaking or squeaking over time. I agree you don't need a bassinet with a the stroller, you'll likely use the car seat a lot in winter.
Thread: "Pros and cons for the Doona?"
We didn't get the doona because it can't be used after the infant stage. We went with the Chicco Corso LE travel system.
Thread: "Strollers (please let me here your thoughts on NUNA, Uppa and Bugaboo I am overwhelmed with anxiety)"
Love my Chicco Corso travel system. It’s sadly living in the attic now since we have 2 kids and it can’t convert to carry both of them. I like it better than both the UppaBaby Vista we got as a hand me down and the Baby Jogger I got as our double stroller. The Corso isn’t too heavy in my opinion and is easier to open and close (can do it one handed, which is definitely not true of the Vista [IDK about the Cruz]).
Thread: "Pros and cons for the Doona?"
Yes agreed! I have the Chicco keyfit 35 and corso cleartex travel system and love it!!!
Thread: "Can someone de-influence me from the Uppababy Stroller?"
We have the Chico Corso and love it. It folds flat and has an infant insert so you can use it from birth. Suspension is good too for the gravelly trails we have where we love. We got it for $300 on sale
Thread: "Please help me choose between a Chicco or Mockingbird stroller."
This is what we have and I love it! 1-hand fold/unfold, pretty lightweight, rubber tires!
Thread: "Stroller Madness - Uppababy vs. Chicco vs. Graco"
I did the Chicco Corso LE travel system - absolutely worth it. Rides sooooo smoothly and is so easy to push. Bumpy roads, gravel, rock - it’s nothing. It’s not too tall for me at 5’4 or too short for my husband at 6’1. The leather handlebars look so nice. It was nice that the chicco keyfit35 fit in it so we used that when our daughter was an infant. It’s my go to stroller for walks anywhere. It is a little bulky though so I also have Cybex Libelle 2 as our travel stroller since it’s super compact.
Thread: "Stroller help: Chicco brand"
Chiming in to support the corso too… it’s worth the investment for the travel system
Thread: "Please help me choose between a Chicco stroller or the Mockingbird"
The Chicco Corso LE is all around a better stroller than Mockingbird. And much sturdier. I would definitely go with that. I have been super happy with mine.
Thread: "Mockingbird stroller owners - give me the good & bad please!"
I don’t have the Uppababy or Mockingbird, but went with the Chicco Corso. It has a similar look/style as the other two, including the sleek leather handles. It comes with the Keyfit 35 infant seat which is a plus. It also has really solid rubber wheels which helps it feel durable. One hand fold, very easy to maneuver. So far I am really pleased with it as a travel system! Might be another option to check out.
Thread: "Help me pick a travel system"
I ended up going with the Joie Mint + Hazel combo, but went back and forth between that and the Chicco Corso for so long. The Hazel stroller does have a “near flat” nest mode, and extra large canopy which I appreciate.
Thread: "What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco)"
We got the keyfit35 travel system, so whatever stroller came with that. We did swap out the seat for the just regular stroller seat that it comes with, and we’ve ditched the bucket seat at this point. Now we’re using the Chicco 365 rotating car seat. Overall it works pretty well! My only gripe is that the stroller seems bulky to me, but that’s likely because it has to get lugged into the back of my little Chevy Cruze 5 door lol, but I mean realistically we’re at an age where we only really use the stroller for big outings where there aren’t shopping carts available. Other than that it all works out great, we take her out on nature trails a lot with it.
Thread: "Strollers?"
This is the one on my registry! Was it difficult not having adjustable handle bars? That’s the number one complaint I see about it.
Thread: "Strollers?"
Chico corso primo stoller.... I did countless hours of research. This stoller is way better than the uppa baby stuff. It has actual rubber wheels and comes with a newborn insert for the stoller. We've taken it on all terrain types and even on a gravel hole covered road it's still a smooth push/ ride for our baby.
Thread: "Stroller help: Chicco brand"
I also have the Chicco Corso travel system and we love it.
Thread: "Are Nuna strollers really worth it?"
We have a couple strollers including a Nuna and honestly we use our chicco corso le the most! And it was great with the key fit car seat when the baby was a newborn
Thread: "Are Nuna strollers really worth it?"
We love our Chicco Corso. We live in a city and walk a ton and it’s a tank. Highly recommend!
