Tommee Tippee glass bottles

Tommee Tippee glass bottles are designed for feeding infants and are made from durable glass. They feature anti-colic nipples and can convert to sippy cups and food storage containers.

Pros (+)

  • Versatile design converts to sippy cups and storage
  • Anti-colic nipples help reduce gas
  • Durable glass construction is easy to clean

Cons (−)

  • Some babies may resist using them at first
  • Glass can be heavier than plastic options

Why parents like it

Parents appreciate the anti-colic design, which helps reduce gas and fussiness during feeding. The ability to convert to sippy cups adds long-term value.

Common complaints

While most parents have no complaints, a few note that some babies may not take to the bottles right away. Additionally, a small number of parents mentioned that the weight of glass bottles can be a concern.

Best for

Parents looking for a durable, multi-functional bottle that can grow with their child. The tradeoff is that some infants may initially resist using glass bottles.

Bottom line

Tommee Tippee glass bottles are a solid choice for parents seeking a versatile feeding solution, though some babies may need time to adjust.

Thread: "glass bottle recommendations"

We liked Mam quite a bit. The glass worked as well as the plastic version and the teats were interchangeable between plastic and glass. I would start with premie sized teats (smallest qty box) and a pack of the next size up just to be safe. If you end up needing the premie, many brands aren’t available in store in that size so you’d be waiting a couple days for delivery. As long as you have 1 in premie you’re set. Also if you skip doing it this way, Dr Browns has premie teats in Walmart and Target. I wouldn’t bother with the next sizes up at this point. I would get a 2 pack of plastic bottles in whatever brand you choose. That will give you a little flexibility with going out or whatever comes up. I’m not keen on plastic but they did come in handy. No idea on which glass bottles work with the Brezza system since we’re British and it’s not recommended to make formula that way. We used the Tommee Tippee glass bottles in their jar form (they come with a flat lid) and they’re really great for storage. The round nipple didn’t work out for us, but if it works for your baby I can recommend the system. We used them for donor milk storage for our surro baby as well as sterilising formula and now for food bits as we’re weaning. They say you can use them as toddler cups, but that seems like a bit of a stretch to me. There’s also a sub for formula feeding, but if you know what you want to feed it’s a lot less helpful. Have you picked up the registry boxes? Many of the common glass bottle brands get sent in those boxes, but in the plastic form. It may be helpful to try out your options in plastic before committing to the glass versions. We tried Dr Browns and hated the whole system so never tried their glass bottles. Then the other popular one is Phillips Avent, but the glass leaked on us. There was one other brand that’s escaping me at the moment, but they leaked too. We didn’t do a shower with our first because of surrogacy, but the list function, discounts and boxes were pretty great.

Saw a similar news segment recently and we made the switch to tommy tippee glass bottles. They also convert to sippy cups and food storage containers which is a bonus. Wish we did this earlier
