Thread: "Traveling with car seat. How?!"
I just did this for the first time a few days ago! I bought a travel carseat that's very lightweight (9#) and a travel bag. The bag has straps to either wear the seat like a backpack or hang around a suitcase handle. We checked the carseat with our suitcases and it was all pretty easy. Then we installed the car seat in our rental car once we landed. I will say, I tried my son out in the seat a few days before we left and adjusted all the straps and things at home - it was a big help after a long day of travel! Good luck and enjoy your trip!

Side question- what’s the benefit of the Pipa Aire over the Pipa RX? With the seat insert the weight is almost exactly the same
Thread: "Higher end infant car seats? [mb]"
We went with the Nuna Pipa simply due to being so lightweight. Otherwise there's no other benefits outside of being able to use it seamlessly with my Nuna stroller when I need to.

The aire RX is supposed to be their lightest car seat, but in reality it’s only a few ounces lighter than the Pipa RX. You’ll also want to check to see if the aire has the dream drape cover. That’s a real win of the pipa RX.

Oddly enough, when I tested them out in person at Nordstrom, the Pipa for some reason felt lighter than the Aire!! I have no idea if it’s just how the weight was distributed or what, since the Aire is technically lighter. I was planning to do the Aire because I wanted lightest possible, but after feeling them I’m going with the Pipa RX! So I would recommend seeing them in person if at all possible!
Thread: "talk me out of the nuna car seat... or into it!"
We love our Nuna pipa aire rx just due to the safety scores. But our LO doesn’t seem to love it. He’s much better in it now after we took the pillow and body support out but he’s still not a huge fan. Which is unfortunate.
Thread: "Feelings toward/experience with the Canadian Nuna Pipa car seat?"
We started with a convertible car seat and am so glad we did. There was no situation where I would have preferred carrying a car seat over other options. Yes, I carried him into doctors appointments and changing a mask while holding a baby was awkward, I never regretted not having an infant seat. We also had the Nuna Mixx and it folds flat for use from birth, and we loved that.

I have the aria and I believe the weight is very close to the Nuna pipa aire
Thread: "Nuna Pipa Rx or Pipa Urbn?"
FYI the redesigned Lite is out (Aire) but it is almost the same weight with canopy on lol (0.2 lb lighter). Ships end of feb / beginning March according to Instagram https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/nuna-raises-the-bar-on-baby-gear--again--with-the-release-of-the-pipa-aire-rx-302050124.html
Thread: "Nuna Pipa Bases…"
So I understand the Pipa RX to be able to recline as well vs the Pipa Aire…? Which car seat do you have? And is there a point to getting the RELX base if we already are getting the Pipa RX?
Thread: "Uppababy Vista Stroller with Mesa Carseat or Nuna Pipa?"
We are doing the UB Cruz (one kid household. Don’t need the extra size) and the Nuna Pipa RX. It’s a PITA to try and line up the Mesa with two side clips. With the Nuna adapter ring you just set the seat down on and go. It’s not worth getting the Aria (or Nuna Aire) for the lighter weight; the light numbers they tell you are without the canopy and padding. If you hold both the regular and the “light” ones they feel the same. I think the literal weight difference is like .2 lbs. It’s not worth the extra money for such little difference. Also, we are not going with the Mesa because of exactly what you said… the inner structure of the seat is not very comfortable for baby AND it promotes more chin to chest, which can effect breathing, than the Nuna Pipa RX.

What do you love about the Pipa?
Thread: "Uppababy Mesa V2 vs Max [bc]"
I have the max and loved it, but we also had a friend that had one and he baby had issues breathing and ended up in the Ear. They ran a TON of tests and then put the baby in the car seat while in hospital. Turns out the positioning did the chin to chest pain and cause baby to have positional asphyxiation. We traded in for the aria and will go to nuna revolve when they out grow
Thread: "Analysis paralysis on which rotating convertible car seat to buy"
I really, really love my Cybex Callisto and so does my baby. She hated her infant car seat (Nuna Pipa aire rx) so much that we switched to it around 3 months.
Thread: "Stroller and car seat for newborn?"
wanted the Nuna Pipa Aire RX and Mixx went to look at it in store and eh didn't feel any different than others and I ended up getting the Chicco Key Fit 35 and and Chicco Bravo Primo especially a dupe and saved myself $1,000 in doing so. All car seats have to pass federal regulations in the US it just depends what your looking for regarding style, purpose (city side walks, country roads etc.)
