Nuk Natural

The Nuk Natural is a baby bottle designed to mimic the natural shape and feel of a mother's breast, featuring a soft, flexible nipple that promotes a comfortable feeding experience. It includes a unique venting system to reduce colic and gas, making it suitable for infants transitioning from breastfeeding.

Pros (+)

  • Mimics breastfeeding well, making it easier for babies to latch
  • Soft, flexible nipple reduces choking risk
  • Vent system helps minimize colic and gas

Cons (−)

  • Some babies may prefer other bottle brands
  • Can be challenging to clean thoroughly
  • Not all parents find it effective for their child

Why parents like it

Parents praise the bottle's design, which helps their babies latch easily and comfortably. The slow flow nipple is particularly appreciated for reducing the risk of choking during feeding.

Common complaints

While many parents have no complaints, a few mention that their babies showed a preference for other brands. Additionally, some parents note that the bottle can be difficult to clean thoroughly due to its design.

Best for

Parents looking for a bottle that mimics breastfeeding for a smoother transition. Be prepared for the possibility that your baby may prefer a different brand.

Bottom line

The Nuk Natural is a great option for many babies, but some may prefer other bottles, so it's worth trying alongside alternatives.

Thread: "What bottle does your mostly nursed baby take well?"

Nuk natural, slow flow. Has multiple holes instead of just one, similar to mama

Thread: "Best bottle for breastfeeding babies?"

Both of mine hated dr browns. My first only liked the Nuk natural. My second only liked the Lansinoh. Don't buy a ton of the same kind. Buy a sample pack of different bottles or just individual bottles. All babies have different preferences. You don't want to get stuck with 10 bottles that your baby refuses.

Thread: "Can anyone recommend a bottle their babies like?"

Nuk Natural. It has little holes at the end of the nipple and my girl completely loved this. My husband joked she acted like she was on the boob drinking it.

Thread: "thoughts on nanobébé bottles?"

Mine would not take the Nano Bebe bottles. Or the Como Tomo. He sorta kinda takes the Nuk naturals but the one he really prefers is the Chicco duo. Honestly, if you can afford it, get a couple of different kinds (but just get one of each) and see what baby likes. Then buy more of that kind. Also make sure to use the slow flow nipple of whatever bottle you get. They're supposed to have to work for it just the way they would at the breast.

Nuk Naturals for my oldest and Lanishioh for my youngest
