Thread: "PSA to those who use Phillips Avent Natural Response bottles/nipples!!"
I base it off how long it takes my baby to finish a feed! It was taking him more than an hour to finish a mere 2 ounces but once I lined up the vent and sized up, it took him about 15-20 minutes. He also slurps, gulps and makes bubbles sometimes but you can usually fix/reduce that with paced bottle feeding. There’s many videos online that show you how to do that :)

We use MAM anti colic and lansinoh teats. They work like a charm!

Hahaha I guess just to prevent more evil: if you get the anti colic ones from MAM, don’t ever put them in a warm water bath to heat up the milk because the water will flow into the bottle. Learned that the hard way. Just make them up as you go or use a bottle warmer 😅 Edit; I use the glass ones now so there’s no 10 parts haha but Philips avent is good too I heard

My baby wouldn’t take bottle or dummy until we got the razzberry teething dummy. Bought it because it was small enough for her to hold and she was enjoying chewing on things around 3 1/2 months old. Come the time she starts rolling and she has to be unswaddled I thought I’d try a dummy one more time and she took it, has taken it consistently since then. As for bottles we had the mam anti colic and tommee tippee bottles and she would refuse both, scream and cry until she would fall asleep hungry. I saw a post on here where someone said their baby would only take the lansinho bottles so I bought just one and she took to it right away. I also got dad to feed her and wasn’t in sight or smell distance because some people have said baby would take a bottle for others but not mum. We also introduced an occasional bottle of formula because I’m a just enougher, and once my freezer stash ran out from the early days it wasn’t worth the stress of trying to save up more. My supply since picked back up a bit and now have a small freezer stash but still get formula once in a while. TLDR: razzberry dummy, lansinho bottles

MAM anti-colic. Tried comotomo, avent Philips anti-colic, Dr. Browns, and Evenflo Balance.
Thread: "Mam bottles VS Tommee Tippee"
Having used both, I prefer mam. The anti-colic tommee tippee are fiddly with more parts to clean. There’s also parts that are harder to scrub. The normal tommee tippee are fine enough, but again have a lip that you really have to angle in to get clean. Mam are all anti-colic, the sterilise in the microwave thing is really convenient and I like that all the parts come away from each other to clean properly.

I second this, we down MAMs to be the best, we also use a hypoallergenic formula as he is suspected to have CMPA - worked wonders

Exclusively formula fed. Mam anti colic by far. Bonus points for them being so cute. Our LO also preferred their soothers the most.

How do you know if the flow is too slow? I tried a few different bottles (philips avent natural, philips avent anti colic, mam anti colic, comotomo) but my baby liked philips avent natural the best. She’s been using size 2 and she’s almost 6 weeks. But she is so noisy. She’s slurping, gulping, and creating bubbles in the bottle. I tried size 3 today but didn’t notice any difference.
Thread: "Dr. Brown's Bottles love or hate?"
We just spent 4 weeks and a small fortune on every bottle made trying to get my breastfed girl to take a bottle. I don’t know if the flow was too slow on the Dr. Brown’s we had, but they were the only kind she didn’t even play with. Made it 60 seconds before she was all out wailing, tried maybe 3 different times. The anti colic MAMs with a #2 nipple ended up working for us. Love them. The nipples just fits her mouth so much better than all the other shapes. Way easier for her to latch to. Now she’s taking 4 bottles a day like a champ. Packed away all the other bottles and nipples and just ordered some more this week.
