I've posted this a few times because I've found it helpful, but a lot of nipples have cross compatibility with different glass bottle "bases." So for example you could buy Gulicola bottle and use Lansinoh, Evenflo or Pigeon nipples. I haven't delivered yet, but I am planning use the glass bottles I have and try a few different brands of nipples to see what baby likes. https://glassbabybottle.com/glass-baby-bottle-nipple-compatibility-guide/?utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=organic

Thread: "Best bottles for newborns?"

[check out this post for some helpful tips](https://www.reddit.com/r/FormulaFeeders/s/6nBaSDSRYz) I personally really liked the Gulicola bottles. I found them on Amazon and baby took to them really well. But we also really liked Boon Nursh because they were much easier to travel with. A good number of bottles I would say is like 8-10. In the first month or so you’ll do between 7-9 feedings per day and then it’ll gradually go down as baby gets older. Every baby is different and some will have preferences but we got lucky with the first bottle we offered.

I've used a lot of glass bottles, and still do. I have a 1 year old and we've done through a lot. Gulicola on Amazon is awesome, but if you can find Evenflo Balance Wide in glass... even better. Evenflo ones were my favorite! Eta; Gulicola, Evenflo and Pigeon bottles are all wide mouth so any wide mouth nips will fit. If you stick with "wide mouth" which is typically what is recommended by SLP and Peds for oral development, you can buy the same nips. I prefer Pigeon nips because they are sooooo much softer than Lansinoh... and my 1 year old with 8 teeth has not broken any of the Pigeon nips with his fangs!!!

I own the Gulicola bottles too, and they worked great! Sometimes the dupe is better than the name brand, when the name brand is marked in lead paint 🀣 I probably shouldn't joke about it because OP does not need to worry about the old scandal, today's Lansinoh/Pigeon bottles are perfectly fine. Today I would just get the name brand. But in 2024 I was kinda annoyed by the whole debacle, so all my "Lansinoh" bottles are actually off-brand like Gulicola.
