Thread: "What to do if airport loses car seat?"
When it happened to us, the airline checked to see if they had any car seats. They, of course, did not. So my husband drove to target and bought a car seat then brought it back and assembled it in the airport parking lot. They reimbursed us and that's how I got a free rotating car seat. The original was delivered to our house the next day.
Thread: "Time for a toddler car seat--I'm so lost"
You will not move the car seat from the car. I suggest looking at some of the swivel ones, I really like the Graco and it’s easy to swivel. You’ll need two convertible car seats, one for each car. Your days of easily clicking in the infant seat to the stroller are unfortunately over!
Thread: "Best rotating rear-facing car seat for TALL baby?"
My son is above 100% in height and weight, and has been in the Graco Turn 2 Me 3 in 1 for over a year (he’ll be 18 months next weekend). It still fits fine.
Thread: "Overwhelmed by car seat options"
I have a Graco Turn2Me and love how easy it is to get in and out. It was $300 but only $100 more than the one I was going to get otherwise. Unless you’re really budget constrained, I wouldn’t drive yourself too crazy picking one. Get one that’s convenient for you since you’ll use it for years, even if it costs a little extra. Sometimes I get really in my head about picking things and wind up with decision paralysis, I try to remind myself that this item is not going to make or break my retirement plans and to just choose something and be done with it for my mental wellbeing.
Thread: "Advice needed: Infant car seat or convertible right away? "
We have a rotating seat and have used it from the beginning. Pros: - Cheaper (honestly, not necessarily though, since you need a stroller that can accommodate a newborn. The one we wanted came with a bassinet though.) - Fewer items to store - Some babies hate the infant seat. Convertible seat is a more comfy shape for them. - infant seats are heavy as heck to carry around. I have alternatives. - Forces safe sleep guidelines. They are not supposed to sleep in a car seat outside of the car, nor spend more than two hours in the seat at a time. Not having an infant seat will force you to follow this! Cons: - Napping on the go will be interrupted unless you get a unicorn napper. They will probably not transfer well multiple times between the car and the stroller or car and home. You will be devastated that they fell asleep three minutes from home. - Quick errands are a bit more cumbersome as you can't just take the carrier in. Gotta fully unbuckle them every time even for a 30 second errand. - can't buckle them in from the comfort of your house. More annoying if it's cold or rainy where you live. But then the infant seat takes up space in your house when it's not in the car. - travel is a bit annoying. My baby is super comfy in his fancy rotating seat but we're not taking that on a plane. Lighter weight travel convertible seats are not as comfy for small babies. Basically, an infant seat can definitely be more convenient. But we decided not to get one anyway because I don't like having them in the car seat for long periods so we used a bassinet stroller, stroller with infant insert, or babywear when we are out and about. I don't regret it. Except sometimes when he falls asleep three minutes from home.
Thread: "what’s your favorite rotating car seat?"
I tried city jogger, graco turn2me, and evenflo 360 in store before the chain closed. City jogger the fabric felt the nicest and the button waa the largest and easiest to use. But most expensive. And the way the chair turned on the base waa just ok. Evenflo 360 felt extremely cheap and the button is not ergonomic at all and in a weird spot. Graco turn2me felt the most sturdy, good price point, and the button is ergonomic. We got that one. Have been using from birth and she's now 2. Still very happy with it.
Thread: "Overwhelmed by car seat options"
I could not live without my rotating car seat. I have a really bad back so ymmv.
Thread: "Analysis paralysis on which rotating convertible car seat to buy"
We have the Evenflo for husbands car, baby (well now toddler) is fine and constantly falls asleep. I have the Graco 360 for my car and personally like it more, but that might be because I use it more. To ease your mind, it can be scary trying to figure out the perfect car seat for your precious cargo, but ALL car seats in the US go through rigorous testing.

the Graco Turn2Me is a similar option. i have a vehicle with a rear suicide door, it was one of the only options but man it's so awesome.
Thread: "Car Seat Overwhelm"
You’ll be ok! Take a deep breath. When my son was born, we had an infant seat and two bases. My car and my husband’s car had bases installed, and then we moved the infant seat between the two. The infant seat came with our stroller - we have [this](https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChsSEwj-pbb2g4GQAxVYLdQBHWq9CAAYACICCAEQHBoCb2E&co=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw_-3GBhAYEiwAjh9fUK32gqcfQ-YncjrrRvPYqoePoiO0qOPwMCpTJK4aag8PxZ3bTMSKDBoCmaIQAvD_BwE&sph=&cid=CAASZeRoFabHztbdVVhuBwvvmbBPFc7WOCa9n-C8juTJ-u1AUVC3c-2KcbWlBWnv5MsFzlYqqpZ49EZWlt0S5kqgHh90OXaz7pAW2NoO103ZI6U2JZKBiQowczD2jR3jV0aKpLIFK18p&cce=1&sig=AOD64_0Y6sT00cWCs7xJs8_k8BbgUffGTA&ctype=46&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjz9qz2g4GQAxWqMtAFHcaxIQIQzzkoAHoECAUQDQ&adurl=)! When my son was almost a year, I think (?), we moved him up to a convertible car seat. Ours is rotating. We have two car seats, one in each car. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
Thread: "Why are some not rear-facing the car seat until 40 lbs?"
Yep same. Turned at 4 to accommodate younger sibling. Otherwise he didn’t care about rear facing at all.
Thread: "Pricey convertible car seat? Worth it or marketing?"
Graco has great car seats! I use the extend to fit and I love it. I think some car seats are just fancier for people who want more style or can afford it, same as anything else. They all have to meet the same safety standards! I also recently got the slim version of the rotating car seat for my second child because it’s cool and I got it on a great Black Friday deal. I’d be looking more into space/size than price. Pretty sure the extend to fit ranks nicely on most categories. I loved it for my newborn now toddler!
Thread: "Evenflo Revolve 360 ..future recall car seat?"
Honestly, nothing. I liked that it was 360 rotation which would allow forward-facing to also rotate sideways for when kids are older. I just bought the Graco turn2me yesterday, which is 180 rotation. Anything 180 only rotates sides ways rear facing.. it stinks but at least the base and seat are ONE PIECE so very secure. It will rotate from rear facing so my son will stay in it for the next year. Meanwhile I will hope that they come out with something better that will allow me to rotate from front facing. I'm holding onto the Evolve in basement in case findings determine nothing wrong... OR if they recall and require submitting pics of cutting straps as part of a refund.
Thread: "Anyone use a Evenflo Revolve360 convertible car seat? Looking for an honest review today."
My husband and I have the Evenflo Revolve360 seats in our vehicles and my parents bought the Graco Turn2Me for their car. We have been using the Evenflo seats for 9 months, and the Graco for 6 months. If the rotating seats are within your price range, I definitely think that it's a feature worth getting. I like both seats and would recommend either of them. I copied a comparison that I had written for the two seats from a few months ago, but I'm adding a few more things that I have noticed since then. Comparison: * Both were very easy to install and each had a tightening mechanism for the teather/seatbelt - I found them much easier to install compared to the many stationary convertible seats that I tried out * Graco is more compact so the front seat has a little more space * Evenflo is install once and done whereas Graco you have to reinstall to reverse * Evenflo has to have the top tether installed at all times where Graco is only for forward facing * Graco has thicker straps so they twist less, Evenflo straps are easy to twist * Graco has buckle holders, Evenflo doesn't * Evenflo has the rotate handle on the top, Graco's is on the bottom of the seat * Rear facing weight limit is 40lbs for both * Booster weight limit for Evenflo is 120lbs, Graco is 100lbs * Graco rotates smoother and easier, but neither are difficult * Graco's chest clip is like grocery store seat belts, Evenflo is just a thumb push button - My mom has hand pain and found the Graco one to be easier * Evenflo recline can be adjusted anytime, Graco needs reinstallation * Evenflo can be rotated in forward or rear facing, Graco can only be rotated in rear facing I looked for months at car seats for my parents and in-laws, so I kept a pretty good eye on the prices. My inlaws ended up with the Graco Extend to fit. The Graco Turn2Me seems to go on sale more often than the Evenflo seat (and the sale price at Buy Buy Baby is usually coupon eligible), so price may also be an influence. I only found the Evenflo seat to go on sale during Target's trade in event. Evenflo Revolve360 is also now available with extended rear facing option, so if that's a feature that you are interested in it might add to the pros column for you. I do not have any regrets with my purchase and would definitely buy a rotating seat if I had to make this decision again.
Thread: "Infant car seat or convertible car seat?"
This was my main thought, especially because I’m not planning on going out much when she’s itty bitty. Also weather isn’t much of a concern because she’s due in May, and we have a garage so she won’t even need to go outside going to the car. My other thought was that infant car seats are easier to put them in because you can do it in the house so I’m thinking about getting the convertible Turn2Me Grace car seat so make that easier as well.
Thread: "Overwhelmed by car seat options"
With my first I wish I had bought the Graco extend to fit to keep her rear facing to 50lbs. How was I to know that my perfectly average newborn would turn into a 95th percentile for height and weight monster!? So I’ll be getting that one for my son who is also a giant. His twin sister is a teeny peanut who will probably fit in the bucket for another year I’m looking at getting the rotating graco seat for her, since she has some motor issues I think it’ll be easier to get in and out, and she’s small enough that she won’t outgrow rear facing before 4.
Thread: "Please just tell me what car seat to buy"
One of the big differences between the two is that the Evenflo turns both rear and front facing. The Graco only turns when rear facing.
Thread: "what’s your favorite rotating car seat?"
Graco turn to me had the better of the safety ratings, although they were all pretty close. It also goes up to 40lbs rear facing which I wanted
Thread: "Best convertible car seat?"
Graco turn 2 me fits bigger babies, and it’s 3 in 1 so it grows with your child. My son went through a phase where he hated the car seat, it wasn’t the car seat though haha
Thread: "Target Car Seat trade in event started today."
The Graco Easyturn. I do have the Evenflo Revolve Slim so I want a different one to compare. The only thing surprised me was the seat does not detach from the base. I guess I’m just used to the Evenflo Revolve.
Thread: "Infant Car Seats"
Adding to say if you want the convenience of the infant carrier you’ll have to buy two seats, our convertible holds children starting from 4 weeks so we could use that from birth if we wanted to but I want the convenience of the infant carrier lol
Thread: "Best rotating rear-facing car seat for TALL baby?"
We have the Graco Turn2Me and the Chicco 360. My baby is only 5 months and like 28in but I love both seats!
Thread: "Which car seat do you have and what do you like/dislike about it?"
This happens to me too! It’s driving me crazy but I’m not about to buy another. My husband has the graco turn to me which does not have those problems
Thread: "Which car seat do you have and what do you like/dislike about it?"
Graco turn2me! Had it since mine was a newborn (was funny watching my husband carry it with baby out the hospital.. did not know that was a thing!) easy to adjust and omg I used one that didn’t swivel on a trip once and IDK how yall do it.
Thread: "Infant car seat vs. all in one car seat"
I wouldn't trade our all in one Graco "turn 2 me" car seat for anything! Having a seat that you can turn towards the door is amazing when you are fussing trying to figure out how to strap in the baby, and then when they get older and more wiggly. Also definitely saved my back from having to twist and hunch to get them in and out. We didn't go with an infant click in and out seat because we figured we might rely on it too much for keeping baby in one spot while doing errands, unloading groceries, appointments etc. I have friends and family in the nurse, doctor and teacher communities that have expressed concerns at how long babies are in one position, and how they move from car seat to stroller (often the same seat) to bouncer once inside and then they get swaddled during sleep. Not a lot of time of wiggling and shifting and having flat on the back time (in a bassinet, on a playmate etc) or having time on their tummies. Lots of delays with physical milestone hitting, and one of the theories is how long they are spent strapped in the same positioning (unless the parents of course are going the extra mile to provide a lot of play and movement time)
Thread: "Experiences with going straight to convertible car seat?"
My son ended up having the worst reflux ever so the infant bucket seat would make him projectile vomit every time, we ended up getting a convertible. The Graco turn2me specifically when he was 2 or 3 months old, can't remember. No more car spit ups though. He was born in February so slightly different reasons for liking the infant bucket seat - safety carrying him out in snow and potentially falling. It pops into a base and the stroller easily. So I could transfer it into my partners car since he always kept a base in vehicle too. And also if he fell asleep during the car ride, I could bring him in and slowly unbuckle him and transfer him into the crib. But your baby is coming in May so you won't need to worry about the car door being open too long and baby getting cold to go inside. You can sometimes find bundles where the bucket seat comes with a base and a stroller, I think it's worth having the infant seat, even if it's just for a couple months. All those doctor visits in the beginning, I promise you won't want to hold baby the entire time. It's convenient to have the bucket seat.
Thread: "Cybex sirona T car seat - would people recommend?"
I've just written a very similar answer to someone else, but Cybex are hoping you make this exact false assumption. I wouldn't bother with the Sirona T for £280, when you can buy the Sirona Gi i-size for £220 which is almost exactly the same seat except it comes with the base attached. It quite often goes on offer at less than this as well, if you don't need one urgently. I would try it in the car before you buy anyway, I've heard people get stuck when they changed from Cloud to Sirona finding that the Sirona took up more room. Other spin seats at under £280 which I'd also compare with: Maxi Cosi Quartz (on offer at Argos and Halfords for £200/223) Graco Turn2Me - this is a budget model but it is very compact, and the safety is as good as Cybex if you get the i-size one. (I would avoid the "Grow" one though, anything which converts to booster will be bulky). Joie i-Pivot - under £200, but I am not sure if it's as compact as the older Joie/Graco spin seat, as it now has an anti-rebound bar. IMO the Maxi Cosi is just as good in every way as the Cybex, although the Cybex Gi i-size has a 20kg weight limit (every other seat mentioned here is 18/19kg). Joie/Graco are still good in terms of safety, but there are some little differences which make the seats feel a tiny bit more clunky to use compared to the very premium finish of Cybex/Maxi Cosi, like the padding on the straps is more bulky and the mechanism to attach the isofix to the car is a bit more fiddly. I also agree with the other poster that it is very much worth looking into the longer lasting rear facing seats, while they don't have the spin function (Avionaut Skydust does, but is expensive) they tend to be much more compact due to sitting upright and having the ability to rear face longer is worth it from a safety perspective. I had, and liked, the spin seat myself but it's worth considering the ERF seats too :)

Infant seats are not one piece, so you have issue with those too? I wouldn’t worry so much about that element of it.

Yeah that's the only thing it doesn't have unfortunately :/ I will say tho that the install is super easy too

Thread: "Toddler car seat recommendations"
We bought the Chicco Nextfit Max Zip Air (a mouthful, I know) for our car and the Graco Turn2Me for the grandparents’. The Graco is a rotating car seat, which is meant to make it easier to get the child in and out of the car. That feature is fantastic but otherwise I prefer the Chicco much more. The Chicco Nextfit seats are a breeze to install. They have a Super Cinch feature that makes it so easy to get the car seat locked down properly to the car’s LATCH system. While I think Graco seats tend to do a little better than most other brands in crash tests, the Turn2Me is exceedingly difficult to lock down to the point where there’s no wobble. I have jammed fingers and broken a sweat every single time I’ve had to reinstall that seat. It’s just not worth it to me. The Chicco also wins in terms of easy cleaning. The Zip models have a zip-off cover that can be removed and thrown in the washing machine in the event of a blowout, leaky diaper or a major food spill. It’s so easy compared to other seats and I also think Chicco uses much nicer-feeling upholsteries than other comparably-priced brands. The “Max” in the naming convention for our seat refers to the size. There’s a slightly smaller version (don’t quote me but I want to say 2 inches) in case you have a smaller car, but the Max is meant to allow the child a little more space to remain rear-facing longer. Highly endorse that seat. The Turn2Me might be a nice option if you plan to install it in one car and would rarely need to take it out to haul cargo or switch vehicles. The rotating feature really does make it much easier to get the child in and out, but for somebody young, I don’t think that warrants the hassle of installing the seat. It does, however, convert to a high back booster, which our Chicco does not. That said, booster seats aren’t particularly expensive once your child gets to that stage.
