Thread: "Please share any recommendations for a travel stroller ? "
I have heard not so great reviews about the baby zen yoyo, so crossed that off my list. Nina travl is still too big in my book. I went with the Ergobaby metro+ and have absolutely zero complaints. Small enough for overhead, rides great, comfortable for us to push, baby sits practically upright unlike a lot of travel strollers, and it even lays nearly flat for naps and for small babies the footrest is adjustable and can turn it into a bassinet. Would 100% purchase again, I wish I had it from the start and not the giant mockingbird stroller.
Thread: "Travel Stroller recommendation"
Yo-yo or ergo baby metro. Have both and have used them both for traveling. They both fit in the overhead compartment.
Thread: "Buying a travel stroller vs using Uppababy Cruz on trips [on]"
Get a travel stroller, if you can afford it. Airlines are known to mess up/break expensive strollers. A cheaper travel stroller doesn't feel as bad if it gets damaged by the airline company. Also it is significantly smaller, lighter and more compact. The obvious tradeoff is that your baby isn't as comfortable in it, but that's why it's a temporary stroller as opposed to being your main one. We have the ergo baby metro+ and it does the job.
Thread: "Any parents using a Travel stroller for everyday use?"
If I could do it over, I would first invest in a good travel stroller first. We use the ergo baby metro +. Small enough to fit in the over head compartment of planes, can lay completely flat (so no need for newborn inserts) and compatible with our Nuna pipa car seat with an adapter. We also have the uppa baby vista and I only use it on walks as it stays in our garage. While it’s high quality, it’s too heavy and bulky to put in the car to go the supermarket, dinner or travel with .
Thread: "Is a pram necessary?"
Yeah absolutely, parking is generally a nightmare so it’s usually easier to walk, plus it’s great for your recovery and can send baby off to sleep. Win win. We got an icandy second hand for £50 from eBay with bassinet couldn’t have lived without it. Just now at 9 months looking to switch to something smaller and lighter we got the ergobaby metro + which was on sale, folds down to a cabin bag size and was lots cheaper than the bugaboo or yo-yo.
Thread: "Travel Stroller recommendation"
We LOVE our Ergobaby metro. It’s super easy to fold. Unfolding is easy too but not one handed. Have to make sure the handle comes up before you push the seat down but it’s easy once you get the hang of it. In LA I had the baby on my hip, a backpack and a shoulder bag and I closed it one handed to get on a shuttle and someone called me super mom. Gonna ride that high forever.
Thread: "What are the best compact strollers available?"
At that price point I’d get an Ergobaby metro+. We have the Bugaboo butterfly and I love it, but I tried the metro too and it was great.
Thread: "What are the best compact strollers available?"
I got Ergobaby Metro+ as it’s one of the few compact strollers in the price range that reclines flat. Needed that since we do a lot of stroller naps. Have had it for almost 6 months now and I am still pretty happy with my choice. We took on a flight (gate check in), boat rides, to tiny restaurants and have never had any problem fitting it in.
Thread: "Stroller recommendations for one and done [on]"
It's hard to have one stroller do it all! Especially through all the seasons. Your storage needs will also change as the baby gets older (we needed to bring a lot more stuff when the baby was younger). We got a Cruz which was great in the winter and when baby was really little. Soon we found it bulky and heavy and hated how much room it took up in our car. We ended up buying a midrange travel stroller (ergobaby metro) that we keep in the car for all "urban" use because it's so light and small when folded. However, we still use our Cruz when we go on walks outdoors, in the snow, or when we'll need more basket space on a daytrip. If you are rarely going to be walking outdoors with a stroller, and mostly keeping it in the car or using it indoors like for groceries or the mall, you might want to prioritize the lightweight bit. Definitely try some in person!
Thread: "Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought?"
Same. When they're too little to sit in the cart in their own, you have to carry them or keep them in a seat. At least with the click in stroller, it's one less transfer of baby. I can't tell you how many times he's falling asleep while shopping, so it's nice to be able to just lift him back into the car. Mine (ergo baby) came with another seat he can use when older, which will make the stroller a bit later to deal with when I don't have to have the car seat with it too.
Thread: "infant stroller recommendations that are not travel systems"
I have the Uppababy Vista but recently got the Ergobaby Metro to have something compact to keep in the car. It’s awesome, steers well, and has a newborn mode. It’s a travel stroller but slightly sturdier than ultra compact models. Highly recommend if you want something that takes up no room!
Thread: "Babyzen yoyo2 sale"
I actually got the ergobaby metro plus. Way cheaper and so padded. Does all the same things as babyzen
Thread: "infant stroller recommendations that are not travel systems"
Some local moms in my area have recommended the Ergobaby Metro+ stroller. It lies flat and I think the “foot part” can fold up to create a “bassinet”. I think it has a 25% sale now.
Thread: "UB Minu V3 worth it? Is there a better alternative?"
I have both the new Uppababy minu v3 and the Ergobaby metro plus (not the new metro 3). I’ve always wanted an Uppababy product but couldn’t justify getting the standard vista or Cruz. There are pros and cons to both. 1) is it worth it? Honestly, it comes down to your own preferences. Both have dealbreakers and both have winning points. To me it was only worth it because I wanted to try the Uppababy brand for so long. Regardless, having a travel stroller was very worth it for us because we go out a lot. No matter what brand you pick. 2) at 3 months, baby is going to grow out of the bucket seat soon anyway. I never used car seat compatibility with travel strollers, it defeats their purpose. 3) the alternative I’d suggest is the new Ergobaby metro 3 or the older Ergobaby metro plus like I have (which would be on sale now).
Thread: "Travel Stroller Help!"
This isn't on your list but I'd highly recommend taking a look at the Ergobaby Metro. It's the only one I found that was 1. Near-flat recline; 2. Fit in overhead bin easily; 3. Affordable!! We just took a 3.5mo old to Portugal in it and it did great Stroller came on the plane with us, no questions asked. Naps on the go on a full recline worked really well!! If you buy from their website they also have a try-out period where you could return if you don't like it.
Thread: "Stroller Recommendations [ON]"
Piggy backing on to agree with not getting the double stroller. I personally think it's pointless with anything bigger then a 3 year ago gap. Most people I've seen online and talked to hated the way a tandem worked with different aged kids generally and end up getting a side by side or wagon later anyways. I'm planning for the same age gap and just got a single stroller and I figured worst case ill get a board to add to the back when they're older. For stroller recommendations, I'd look into the Bugaboo Butterfly, ergo baby metro, uppababy Cruz or minu, or the chicco strollers. They're the ones I constantly hear good feedback on and would work well for your needs. I generally recommend avoiding strollers from Graco and Evenflo in terms of brands since they're just build with worst materials and are more prone to breaking or squeaking over time. I agree you don't need a bassinet with a the stroller, you'll likely use the car seat a lot in winter.
Thread: "Travel Stroller Help!"
I did not include it in my list here but it's definitely on my radar.
Thread: "Nuna Triv Next infant recline?"
Small strollers with a newborn acceptable recliner are hard to find in the US. The new Nuna TRVL Luxe might have a full recline? The Ergo Metro is one to consider, also the Cybex Mios.
Thread: "Travel Stroller Help!"
We have the ergo baby metro+ and it fits in the overhead bin! Even on smaller planes.
Thread: "ISO Compact/Lightweight Travel Stroller"
We love our Ergobaby metro! Love that it fully reclines so it is great for naps on the go and it fits pretty easily in the overhead bin on a plane.
Thread: "Opinions on Babyzen Yoyo2?"
I live in a rural village in the countryside and was intending to baby wear from the get go but after A LOT of pressure from my in laws I ended up getting an uppababy vista (they bought it for us). It's huge. I use it once a week - I go to an exercise class in the village and he sleeps in the pram whilst I am there. The rest of the time he is either in the sling or the ergo baby. We ended up buying a babyzen yoyo2 to keep in the car and we use that when we go into town for lunch/brunch/coffee etc. Much easier than putting the uppababy in and out. I can't leave the uppababy in the car becuase I've two dogs that need to fit in the boot too and the uppababy vista takes up pretty much most of my boot so the dogs don't fit. Anyway, the only drawback to the babyzen that I can see for the moment is that when my son is old enough for the seat (rather than the bassinet) he will be forward facing. (Son is currently 4 months old) Oh, and the basket underneath is very small. I wills say that it is a bit fiddly to get baby in and out of the babyzen bassinet but not fiddly enough for me to prefer the uppababy. So yep, if you're in suburbia then go for the babyzen and a good carrier. Worst come to worst, you can always buy the uppababy at a later date if you decide you don't like the babyzen as your everyday pram...you'd need a travel stroller (babyzen) eventually anyway for your holidays so you're not losing out by getting it first and seeing how you get on.
Thread: "What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend?"
Get one that can fold up really quickly and easily. People like the yoyo because it gets small - but the fold mechanism is weird to me. There are plenty out there now that fit in the overhead but fold super quick. We have the ergobaby metro plus. It’s a bit bulkier than yoyo but still fits in overhead but it feels like a solid stroller that doesn’t tip over, can go totally flat and has a decent basket. But its fold is not super fast. We also had the city jogger travel one that we really like as it was very light weight - had a faster fold
Thread: "Babyzen yoyo2 sale"
I have both and prefer the Metro+! Cheaper, the recline is way better for naps and the canopy is bigger albeit a little loud when opening.
Thread: "Travel Stroller recommendation"
Check out a Youtube video on it.
Thread: "What are the best compact strollers available?"
I ditched my giant travel system that I wasn’t utilising to its full potential and got a smaller, tri-fold travel stroller. It’s been amazing, I use it all the time whereas before I found I was baby wearing more just to avoid the stroller (which is great but my chunky boy was killing my back). Ergobaby Metro+ and Mountain Buggy Nano are in your price point I think and both have great reviews.
Thread: "What are the best compact strollers available?"
I have the Ergo Baby Metro Plus for travel and shopping, it's great! Can be fully reclined for a newborn cot and used up to toddler age.
Thread: "Stroller for almost 3 year old?"
I think a lightweight travel stroller would be great - there are so many out there now at different price points. I love the Ergobaby metro+, it lays flat for naps on the go and fits my 3 year old fine. It fits in the overhead bin and is easy to carry. Definitely check fb marketplace too! I've seen several different ones available that look nice.
Thread: "Travel Stroller recommendation"
Fairly easily! I’ve done it with baby in hand. Easier to unfold than fold. Tbh it’s great value for a stroller.
Thread: "Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought?"
I love having 2. One big burly “home” tank of a stroller (bumble ride indie, used) to keep in the garage for daily outings all around our town and parks, and one lightweight narrow one (Ergobaby metro+, new on sale) to keep in the car for outings. Love em both so far, but I have nothing to compare them to
Thread: "The overwhelming world of strollers"
To be honest, if it wasn’t for the middle handle button (and the Fox’s great sale price) I probably would’ve preferred the UppaBaby… it’s so weird that I couldn’t couldn’t get past it. I like steering with one hand (and the dog lead/coffee in the other hand) so that tiny design detail was a compete deal breaker for me. I can’t believe how for unique the Doona is (and how long it’s been a round and how popular it is) there haven’t been any other ‘inspired by’ systems! TBH if I didn’t have an enormous high energy dog to walk 2x per day every day I think I would’ve skipped the pram and just done Doona + ErgoBaby carrier.
Thread: "Stroller recommendations for one and done [on]"
I also have both. Use the Cruz for walks, day trips, mall trips (so I can fit all my shopping and his diaper backpack under). I use the Ergobaby metro for overseas travel only and we keep it in our second car. I do love how small the Ergobaby is, but the space under is sooo tiny our diaper bag barely fits (Fjallraven Kanken).
Thread: "Travel Stroller - Analysis Paralysis"
The ergo is pretty good! Also the joie travel stroller is now available at target, it looks really nice and is super popular in Europe, might have gotten this instead of the metro if it was available! It’s owned by Nuna so probably similar to theirs
Thread: "Joolz aer+ vs bugaboo butterfly "
I went down a dark hole on travel strollers recently as we want one for an upcoming cruise. I bought a Bombi V2, an Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe and a Bugaboo Butterfly. \- Bombi was great for the money, even with the purchase of a snack tray, it was by the cheapest option but it also felt a little less premium than the other two, not terrible though, also the green color was a little too green, and the fold wasn't as compact although only marginally bigger, it did have the best fold, very similar to the Nuna. \-Ergobaby Metro+Deluxe, although the MSRP is $399, amazon recently had it on sale for $320 and a 30% coupon so it came out to $220. We really liked this stroller, the lay flat was great, nice sized wheels, premium feel, the main issue that deterred my wife is the size of the basket, her large Dagne Dover bag did not fit and the fold/unfold is a little more complicated than the other two. \-Bugaboo - Picked up an open-box off ebay for $29x, the fold is nice, although Bombi is smoother, the basket is huge, easily fit the diaper bag, my wife wasn't a fan that it did not lay flat like the Ergobaby but everything else checked most of the boxes. That being said, we are interested in the Minu V3 that is coming out as it appears to check all the boxes, looks like it lays more flat than the Bugaboo, has a 20lb capacity basket, is newborn capable out of the box, will work with our Uppababy Aria car seat. It basically looks like a Butterfly copy but with improvements. After the stroller showdown we had in our living room, we decided to return the Bombi and the Ergobaby, we pre-ordered the Minu V3 but have also kept the Bugaboo just in case the Minu does not arrive in time or has some fatal flaw we don't know about yet. With the purchase price of under $300 for a new Bugaboo, I should be able to recoup my money if we end up with the Minu V3.

Still using your eegobaby metro plus? How is it?
Thread: "First time parents - Uppababy or Graco?"
Decide on your budget first. It’s not a fair comparison one is literally 3 times the other. Keep in mind some toddlers don’t like riding in strollers by that age. I’ve seen some people say the uppababy with a toddler and infant recommends putting the infant in the bottom seat and the older child in the top for weight distribution (would double check on that just what I heard but our friends got the cybex gazelle stroller because of that). I’m also the crazy person that couldn’t decide and bought 3 new strollers for wayyy less than an uppababy - but each has a different purpose. I have a graco fastaction jogger, ergobaby metro and graco stroller wagon (on a crazy deal) I shopped deals and got all three for about $750 new. My biggest complaint about the jogger is that I can’t face my baby towards me when we go for a walk. Also keep in mind what your daily life looks like- we like to go to the public pool for swimming and leave the stroller unattended in the stroller parking area.
Thread: "Babyzen yoyo2 sale"
I ordered ergobaby metro+ for our upcoming Europe trip in a week. I contemplated between all popular travel strollers and chose this because of its recline/padding for naps during travel and price. How do you guys like it?
Thread: "Babyzen yoyo2 sale"
That’s fair! Fwiw, Babyzen has great reviews, I just dislike that you have to buy everything as an add on including the footrest! Someone else suggested the ergobaby metro+ which is also a good option for what you’re looking for. I think just their car seat docking mechanism is not great. But if you’re travelling, you’re probably not taking an infant car seat with you
Thread: "Please share any recommendations for a travel stroller ? "
Does it come with a snack tray or can you separately purchase a snack tray for this stroller?
Thread: "Travel Stroller recommendation"
I’m considering ergo baby metro.. it’s on sale on best buy. How easily does it fold and unfold ?
Thread: "Travel Stroller - Best Options / Real World Experiences?"
We have the ErgoBaby Metro Plus and love it. We got it as a travel pram for my eldest when he was 10months to go to Rome, but used it as the main stroller exclusively after he was 1 as our bugaboo fox was just too bulky. The metro lightweight but sturdy, steers brilliantly with suspension (which a lot of travel strollers don’t have) and has extendable handle. As a tall person, this is the best bit. It also has lie flat, again something other big name travel strollers don’t have, which for my son was important as he napped in it all the time. We are now using it for my daughter and have done since she was a newborn. Negatives is that it’s probably a little bigger than others and I never trusted that it would fit in the overhead storage of a plane so have always gate checked it. Basket is small but in line with others on the market. I would definitely buy it again if I needed to, but I would be tempted to try the bugaboo butterfly also.
Thread: "What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend?"
+1 for preferring the ergo baby metro over the yoyo
Thread: "What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend?"
Uppababy Minu v3 coming out next month. That or the Joolz Aer+ should be solid choices if you want something newborn ready / lie flat (Joolz Aer+ EU model only — you can have it shipped from Netherlands, there are a few posts about it). Nuna TRVL LX is not IATA overhead certified. Not new born ready. Bugaboo butterfly is not new born ready. Yoyo 3 and Ergobaby Metro+ is a 2-step / 2-hand fold. Rest are 1-step / 1-hand fold.
Thread: "Umbrella stroller recommendations"
Do you want a strictly umbrella stroller, like with the two handles and umbrella fold? Or are you just looking for a travel stroller? Because the single handle, single hand fold is much superior. Easier to steer, easier to fold, etc. They are more expensive but come in a variety of price points and even sizes. Examples are: bily stroller, Lara by maxi cosi, GB qbit+ all city, ergobaby metro+, etc.
Thread: "Affordable & easy travel stroller"
I also vote trying to get a nicer travel stroller second hand! But if you can't find anything on marketplace, this is the one I have. It's nice! Definitely not yo-yo or bugaboo quality but it does the trick. https://fromrebel.com/products/metroblack-f2307c?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21130615571&utm_content=&utm_term=&gadid=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21133988530&gbraid=0AAAAAozRJVYt0p62rDYTa3S2PHefz1vTI&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlrvBBhDnARIsAHEQgOSjoQKiNC1IO_WbsvF8okoUcqVMaW6i3uopxwml3K4-7806wBhiWCYaAjaHEALw_wcB

I’d look into the Ergobaby Metro+
Thread: "Compact pram recommendations?"
Ergobaby Metro is brilliant for buses. It folds really easily (one handed) and is super comfortable to push long distances. We chose it over the Yo-yo because it has a leg support (and we had a pram napper), a bigger basket, and an easier folding mechanism. It was also slightly cheaper, as a bonus 😁 We needed something with a high weight limit as I knew as a non-driver I'd be using it much longer than my driving friends needed, which ruled out a lot of cheaper options which max out at 15kg.

Hi there! Can I ask in what situations do you find yourself using the ergo metro + with the Nuna pipa car seat?
