Thread: "Can someone please talk me out of getting an onbuhimo?"
I just bought a didyklick which can be worn onhubimo and I’m doing the same thing with the refresh button! Cannot wait!
Thread: "Meh Dai Brands?"
I have a Lenny Lamb wrap tai and LOVE it. So comfortable. Quickly becoming my new favorite carrier, especially after learning I can make it into an onbuhimo! Very interested in the DidyKlick by Didymos as well. Best of luck on your search!
Thread: "What would be the best baby carrier for a big man in 2023? there are so many brands it's giving me a headache."
My husband is your size. He used 3 carriers: - stretchy wrap from newborn to 3m - ergo original from 3m-11m - Mei Tai for back carrying 10m + Tula FTG is often recommended for large parents if you like the back pack style. If you have the budget, and like the idea of a wrap style, a half buckle will probably be the most comfortable and versatile. ( Ex. Didymos didyklick)
Thread: "What’s Your Holy Grail Carrier for Babies?"
If I only could have one thing that counts as a carrier, I'd go with a woven wrap. If I'd only had to have one buckle carrier, I'd go with the Emeibaby. (if that's not available I'll take the Ruckeli). If I had to choose between a hybrid, I'd buy the didyklick.
Thread: "Please help me pick a meh dai!"
I have a half buckle, which I love and similar to a meh dai. I got it when my baby was a month old, and have a toddler size now that he’s a bigger 12 month old boy. I have a Didyklick, and they have a meh dai too, the Didy Tai, if you want to check that one out. It’s sold on littlezenone.com. I’ve been putting him on my back in it for a long time, so I’m pretty quick at it now, but as someone else has said, it isn’t good for quick ups. It is really comfy! It did take some getting used to muscle wise, as you use somewhat different muscles carrying on the back versus the front, but nothing too bad. I went a really long time with this being my only carrier. I only just got an onbuhimo for a quick ups option. I’m finding uses for it and I like it (even with some strength training in, I’m finding this a challenge, though I am starting now with it with my baby being about 24 pounds) but I definitely could go without it and was fine without it for months. My baby has been crawling for a while, and he doesn’t mind staying for a while in the carrier, especially if we’re out. You might find your baby wants more ups and downs, though.
