Thread: "Single to Double Stroller - which one? Cybex, Bugaboo, Mockingbird, Uppababy"
We got the Cybex Gazelle! I did a lot of research when making my choice. There are three things that put the Gazelle over the UppaBaby Vista for us. 1. When using both seats, the Gazelle has max weight capacity of 50lbs for both seats, whereas the Vista has one 35lb and one 50lb seat. 2. The Gazelle in general is much more customizable, lots of choices about where/how you want the seats to be, but also the Vista requires you to put the smaller child on the bottom, due to weight distribution. We didn’t like this because we’d rather the smaller baby be closer to us. And 3. You can fold the Gazelle with both seats still installed. With the Vista you’re required to take one out before folding. I hope this helps make your decision!
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S or Uppababy Vista?"
I would recommend you go to Nordstrom if possible and look at them in person. You might like how one of them handles better, you can compare their folded size, etc. I liked the Cybex in theory but in person preferred the Vista. FWIW if you use the bassinet, it has to go on the bottom in both models. Apparently it’s really hard to push with the toddler on the bottom anyway.
Thread: "What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco)"
Also consider the Cybex Giselle S stroller if you’re looking to spend that much on a stroller. I have it and love it.
Thread: "Double Stroller -- Cybex Gazelle or Mockingbird or ...?"
You can do a double stroller that’s two across instead of up and down. Fwiw, I wouldn’t buy the Mockingbird. Its failures and how the company handled the recall didn’t sit well with me. If you like the Cybex and how it feels, I’d buy that.
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S or Uppababy Vista?"
The Gazelle has two seats of equal size, whereas the Vista has one “primary” seat and a smaller “secondary” seat. The Gazelle also has the adapters needed for the second seat built into the frame, whereas with Vista the you have to purchase and attach the adapters.
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S or Uppababy Vista?"
Cybex and it’s not even close. Absolutely love ours and tried them all in person. So much more functional, better maneuverability. Fr what I have heard the vast majority of people absolutely HATE their vista when they actually finally use it as a double.
Thread: "Best doubles stroller"
I did a lot of research before my 2nd kid, and I really appreciated one stroller reviewer (The Stroller Guy?) who basically says that all double strollers are bad, you just have to find the one that is least bad for you & your needs. Some people swear by the Uppa Baby Vista but it seems it's just not your vibe. You can get another single wide like the Cybex Gazelle or the Baby Jogger City Select, but they are likely to have similar issues to the Uppa Baby Vista. If you live in a place with standard-width doors (aka not Europe - so more likely in North America) you are probably better off getting a double wide, which tend to be ~~easy~~ \*easier\* to maneuver. They are however ... wide. So you will need space to store it both in the car and at home. That might be the BOB double, the Thule, the very fancy Bugaboo Donkey, City Jogger Mini Double.... etc. You also have a foldable wagon option, which didn't seem practical for us, but really works for some here. So we got the Cybex Gazelle because I needed it to fit between European sized doors and in my small european car. If you have the ability to test them out in 1 place - do it! I did and that sealed the deal for me. Bring your kid along, strap them in & out, practice folding the stroller up, and practice pushing the stroller around with 1 kid in. Remember - it will be heavier with both kids! Happy shopping.
Thread: "Uppababy vista vs cybex gazelle"
I had a cybex Priam and loved it. That being said, the massive travel systems are generally a terrible idea in NYC. You’re going to want something light with an easy fold asap unless you’ve got enough space to leave it unfolded all the time and never plan on the taking the stairs, subway, bus, or taxi. It’s better to get a cheaper dedicated double when the time comes. You really don’t know how your kids will tolerate that configuration vs side by side. The uppababy’s maneuverability degrades drastically with two kids, and the lower seat is pretty intolerable once the older kid is bigger unless they’re very tolerant. I had three babies all two years apart. The number of times I used a double stroller was pretty minimal; a glide board and then a scooter for the older was always easier.
Thread: "Uppababy Vista V2 Overrated?"
No. I went with the cybex gazelle after feeling off about the vista. But everyone I knew had it so we were just going to get it too! So freaking happy with our decision to go cybex.
Thread: "First time mom- travel system recommendations?"
Loooove our Cybex Gazelle S stroller and Cloud G car seat! Works for me at 5’9” and my 6’2” husband. The car seat is heavy, but I’ve yet to find an infant seat that isn’t lol.
Thread: "Strollers?"
I purchased the cybex gazelle stroller, I like the options of having extra storage space (basket), using our car seat to clip in, and having a larger kid seat option I know it’s technically a 2 kid stroller and we only plan on 1 but it’s always nice to have options
Thread: "Why is choosing a baby stroller so hard???"
Yes and they all have something I like more than in the others haha… I’m having my first baby but I’m just considering stroller models that can be adapted to 2 babies in case a sibling comes along… I don’t want to do this all over again 😂 I looked at: - Cybex e-Gazelle S - Joolz Geo3 - UppaBaby Vista 3 I liked all of them I just can’t decide which one :(
Thread: "What stroller do you have for everyday use and do you like it?"
Cybex Gazelle for everyday and Summer Baby 3D Lite for travel.
Thread: "Double Stroller -- Cybex Gazelle or Mockingbird or ...?"
We bought a Mockingbird to use as a double stroller; took one short walk before throwing the piece of junk in the car and returning it to Target. The thing creaks like an 18th century British ship underway and turned about as well too. It couldn't crest a half inch bump in the sidewalk, and the handlebar is on a hinge and it feels like you are going to snap it off if you try to pop it up over a curb. On the final turn of it's maiden voyage it nearly tipped over. Shortly after we returned it, Mockingbird was issued a recall because the frames were cracking when in the double configuration. So they send out a bracket you had the clamp onto the frame to "fix" it. We got the Cybex Gazelle instead and loved it. It feels very sturdy and well built. It also handles very well on different terrain. It's a bit like a slightly more compact version of the Vista, but without the brand name premium. Although it does have a couple of shortcomings. The canopies do not extend our quite as far as you would like. They are also a bit low so I would not recommend for a tall child. Also, it has a cupholder but no caddy, and unfortunately, the way it is designed you can't real hang a universal caddy without it slide down into the basket underneath. I know this post is old and probably no one will see it, but I can't help myself. I just hated the Mockingbird SO much. There is a reason you can't return it if you buy straight from their website. It felt like a scam designed to trick vulnerable, stress-adled parents. It is NOT like the Vista but cheaper (that would be the Cybex). It's the Wish version of the Vista, and it almost dashed my childrens' soft adorable heads on the concrete while trying to take a simple turn down the block
Thread: "Any cybex fans here? Stuck between cybex and uppababy"
We have a Cybex Eazy-twist as a travel stroller in addition to our uppababy vista v2. Cheap and flimsy looking. The difference in quality between strollers is unbelievable. I would stick with the Cruz.
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S?"
I have a 2 weeks old and a 13 month old and we love our cybex gazelle s ☺️
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S stroller"
I really like it so far! Haven’t had any issues with it and it fits totally fine in my vehicle. Slightly bulky but I expected that.
Thread: "HELP! So many stroller choices!"
I have the Cybex Gazelle S and I love it so far. My baby isn't due for another 2 weeks, so I haven't used it aside from pushing it around my house, but it's very easy to use. Feels sturdy and maneuvers beautifully. I like that when collapsed it can stand on its own, and folds relatively compact for transport. I bought the bassinet/cot to go with it so I have options other than the car seat for when baby is little. I'm also super jazzed about the shopping basket attachment (I don't drive so love the extra cargo space). The process to collapse it while relatively easy takes a bit of getting used to. As the salesperson said, it requires some "ompf". I'm still able to do so easily myself, but it takes practice to get the feel. My only other complaint would be regarding ease of car seat attachment. I bought the Nuna Pipa car seat as it required no additional adaptors. It's really easy to snap in, but not as easy to remove. I need to keep practicing as while it's as simple as pressing the buttons to release it, I find it requires some muscle to actually get it off the stroller, and that's without a baby in it. I'm hoping it gets easier as I actually do it more/break it in, but I'd have to say if I had one major complaint, that'd be it. I recommend going to a place like BuyBuyBaby that has those strollers in stock and practicing playing with them. I did that with my gazelle s and was super happy, but didn't practice the car seat part, which I wish I did.
Thread: "HELP! So many stroller choices!"
I have the Cybex Gazelle and it's very sturdy, folds super easily, and does well on gravel paths and in snow.
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle Seat not like Nuna Mixx?"
Nordstrom is the only store in our area (I think 1 of 2 in the stats) that carries the Cybex Gazelle. We are going to be getting the Gazelle And while we have not haven’t had our baby yet, I’ve gone and tested it multiple times. I can’t say for sure, but the way the seats are positioned doesn’t seem like the child sliding out would be an issue unless the kid was like majorly slouching because the seats are fairly flat/ dip in a way that would encourage a slightly reclined position if that makes sense. I recommended checking out Stroller Mom on Youtube! She does pretty good and in depth reviews of strollers. Good luck in your search (:
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S stroller"
We are using for 8 months now. No complaints so far, we are pretty happy with it. The main reason for me to get it was that the high push handle height since I'm tall. It's not the lightest model, but it works for us. We have used the cod too (our baby has outgrown it), as the other commenter mentioned. It worked great for us. We have never used the cup holder, so I cannot comment on that.
Thread: "What are you recommendations for double strollers?"
The cybex gazelle!!! Has 24 configurations and can face you, face out - slim profile - we love it!
Thread: "I hate my Doona"
I have the gazelle too and I love it! The basket is so useful.
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S stroller"
Can you give an update on the gazelle s stroller? We just tried it in person and the Nordstrom worker really recommends it too
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S or Uppababy Vista?"
You think you’ll be having another kid (even if you start trying, you may not be so lucky), and you think your first kid will like a stroller and want to use one later. I got a convertible single to double when I was pregnant our baby (first, now 12 months old), and I regret it. We don’t use it. It’s huge. We got a Cruz and it’s our go to. We will use our Cruz with a kick board or ride along attachment if we have another. We planned to have 2 year age gap, but we changed our plans and don’t plan to try for another until late next year at the earliest.
Thread: "HELP! So many stroller choices!"
I’ve got the Cybex gazelle and it’s great!
Thread: "Best double stroller?"
Cybex gazelle, both seats can accommodate up to 50lbs which is not the case for the uppababys (on seat has a much lower weight capacity) as our city/store stroller and we are purchasing a thule chariot as our adventure stroller!
Thread: "Is the uppa baby stroller worth it?"
I chose a different stroller because of these issues: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR3S3pG4/ When it turns into a double there's problems with the legs being close together, and the weight restriction making you need to put the small baby on the bottom further away from you. We got the Cybex Gazelle S2 and LOVE it! Handles so well and our nanny uses it for two kiddos because we have a nanny share family and it works wonderfully. I fell like everybody loves the uppa baby in short term but if you deep dive into reviews you'll find a lot of moms ditch it when it's time for two kids, which makes a different stroller a better long term investment.
Thread: "Are Nuna strollers really worth it?"
Based off of what you think you’ll use your stroller for, I would go with a Cybex Gazelle S. It seems like it would tick all your boxes. It has a small fold (when compared to similar strollers) and can fit easily in a trunk, it comes with a shopping basket so if you take your baby shopping you won’t need to bend over to get to the bottom basket or need a cart, it has good wheels/suspension for walks, and it has a very tall handlebar height. They also have good resell value. Albeebaby currently has a few colors on sale too! The car seats that connect directly to the Gazelle without adapters are the Nuna Pipa series, Cybex infant car seats, and Maxi Cosi infant car seats. If you’re okay with using an adapter on the stroller, Chicco, Graco, and Peg Perego all connect to the Gazelle using an additional adapter. Personally, I would spend less on the infant car seat and splurge on the convertible car seat. The Cybex Gazelle S + Chicco or Graco car seat combo would be my choice in this situation!
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S?"
Thank you all for your input! I just purchased the Cybex Gazelle and super excited to test it out!
Thread: "Why is choosing a baby stroller so hard???"
I know you tried the e-gazelle but did you try just the regular gazelle s (aka not battery powered)? We just went to look at it in store today and are so excited to use it when baby gets here! Waiting to see if we can get any Black Friday deals on it.
Thread: "Double Stroller recs? Nuna, uppababy, cybex? "
I have a 22 month old age gap and a Cybex Gazelle. I use it either single or double almost every day. Once you develop muscle memory, it’s easy enough to fold, it’s got lots of configurations, and the storage is decent. It doesn’t have great accessories, so I have to use a lot of “universal” add-ons (ex. buntings, cup holders, etc), so be aware of that. It’s not the ideal height for my foot to help tip the stroller up over bumps compared to other strollers Ive borrowed, but I love the brake. In short, I would buy it again.
Thread: "Uppababy vista vs cybex gazelle"
Which baby carrier do you have? We're leaning towards the Ergobaby Omni Breeze. I have back problems so I'm nervous that baby carrying might not be the best option for me. but my husband is planning on it!
Thread: "HELP! So many stroller choices!"
I just bought one after testing the uppa baby and some lower tier single-to-doubles and the gazelle was by far our favorite. Went back two days later to but it. It was on sale and then we used a 20% off coupon and have been learning it all night and I absolutely love it. Can’t test with a baby yet but we wheeled around in-store and it is super smooth and compact compared to other strollers 😊
Thread: "Uppababy vista vs cybex gazelle"
I am aware this post is old but I would like to share my wisdom in case someone is using this thread to help them make a decision. So I got the CYBEX gazelle s originally and immediately returned it because it’s not suitable for taller children! If you have a taller 2 year old they will not be able to comfortably nap in this stroller despite the 50 lb weight limit. Uppababy all the way. We ended up getting the Cruz after all was said and done but if I do end up needing a double stroller I will get the vista without a doubt!!!
Thread: "Double Stroller -- Cybex Gazelle or Mockingbird or ...?"
I agree with this regarding the mockingbird
Thread: "Best double stroller?"
We love our cybex gazelle! You can fold with both seats on!
Thread: "Single to Double Stroller - which one? Cybex, Bugaboo, Mockingbird, Uppababy"
I love the configuration of the Cybex gazelle which is why we went for it! I couldn’t get into the UppaBaby or mockingbird truly just because of the configuration with 2 kids
Thread: "HELP! So many stroller choices!"
Hi! I know this thread is old. But I’m thinking about the cybex gazelle and I’m wondering if you still use it and love it!
Thread: "Cybex Gazelle S or Uppababy Vista?"
Honestly I really liked the Cybex and we almost went with it. We decided to get the Silver Cross Reef because of how it could fold. There are new strollers out now from last year so I’m not sure what’s best. Going to Nordstrom and testing them out is definitely worth it. That’s where we decided on Silver Cross over Cybex, UppaBaby and Nuna.
Thread: "Stroller recommendations for twins?"
We went with cybex gazelle s because of the equal weight limits (v the uppa that has different weight limits on the seats) no complaints great customer service.
Thread: "Strollers for winter in Canada?"
We walked twice a day for 40 minutes all winter with a Cybex Gazelle and it still looks brand new! Easy to push and good traction.
Thread: "Strollers?"
We’re leaning towards this one as well, love all the different configurations. The basket up top looks great for the farmers market and the bottom storage is large as well. It’s a decent price too! $150 off for the Nordstrom anniversary sale.
Thread: "Strollers?"
I just got the cybex gazelle s and I love it! Smooth ride and has all the interchangeable parts! All my friends have the uppa baby and tbh I don’t love it! Personal preference for sure.
Thread: "Are Nuna strollers really worth it?"
Omg thank you so much for this I was also looking into cyber because I saw a friend from college and she has it and has so many good things to say about it!!! I’ll keep this in mind for sure! I just need to see where to find it to test it first hahaa but yeah the infant car seat I feel like since it’s just temporary spending a ton of money on it it’s not the smartest idea
Thread: "Are Nuna strollers really worth it?"
My husband and I loved all the nuna stuff we looked at aside from their double strollers. And we wanted the option to make it a double, so we went with the cybex gazelle. We LOVE the cybex, added bonus that the nuna pipa car seat fits right on it too! Baby is almost 4 months old and we’re still very happy with this purchase
Thread: "Overwhelmed with types of strollers [on]"
We went with the uppa baby vista after lots of positive reviews from my friends! Another really likes her cybex gazelle, but I found putting the car seat on and off extremely uncomfortable compared to the vista. My SIL likes her graco system. Another SIL had the maxi cosy system but found it bulky and uncomfortable. Reviews also made it sound like it wasn’t the best for longevity My cousin likes her evenflo system. Ultimately we took a day and went to toys r us and snugglebugz to test out a bunch of strollers and picked what we liked best. I agree - it is extremely overwhelming
Thread: "Stroller Recommendations [ON]"
I have the Cybex gazelle and love how smooth it is and how sleek it looks. I had a winter baby and didn’t get the bassinet and while it worked, I wish I would’ve spent the extra $200 for a bassinet so it would be more comfortable and she had somewhere to sleep if I walked over to a friend’s house for example. It would’ve made sense for me because I walked everywhere; we have one car which husband takes to work most of the time. I’d say only get the bassinet if you plan on walking a lot for the first 5 months or so. I was deciding between the UB V2 and the Cybex gazelle and went with the gazelle due to more configurations, built in second adapters and higher rumble seat weight limit. I see that the uppababy vista came out with a V3 this year with an all season seat that has mesh back for the summertime. I’ve never had something like that but I feel like it would be beneficial for summer walks.

Cybex Gazelle S , love it. Go to a store and play around with them if you can, snugglebugz, west coast kids, dear born baby all have showrooms. Just don’t buy from west coast kids lol Best to play around with them to see what you like and don’t like. I was originally looking at one stroller and when we played with it resized it doesn’t stand when you fold it, vs gazelle will , so there is a lot of little things like that. In 3-4 yrs you will probably want a new stroller and parts are often discontinued by then so I wouldnt put a lot of weight on that in your criteria Also make sure whatever stroller you get is compatible with whatever car seat you go for. We have the Clek liing

Interested in the cybex I’ll check it out! Thanks to you both ☺️
