What’s your budget? We got the Babyletto Hudson which comes with the toddler conversion rail, but it’s pricier at $700 (we got ours on sale for 40% off a few months ago though). It’s still in stock online at most places. We were also looking at the Stork Craft Beckett which is way cheaper (on sale at the time for $199.99) but I saw it was hard to track down the conversion rail so I gave up on it.

I have the babyletto Hudson crib and have 0 complaints. My 6yr son still sleeps in it lol (he's on the shorter side) I'm about to have baby #2 and going to turn it back into a crib soon for the new baby.

Also bought a babyletto model and it was all included upfront. Also bought a mattress that you can use for newborn, then flip over for 12m +. It was pricey at the time but just wanted insurance I would have what I need.

I have the Hudson (in a different colour) and really like it. It really depends on which look you like better.

Also a FTM but we got the Hudson babyletto, I think it’s around $300/400 and it seems to be great quality. It also comes with all the parts to convert it to a toddler bed within that price (not extra like most beds are) which I think is pretty good

Babyletto Hudson. It was on a flash sale on Amazon and with the Amazon registry discount, scored it for $250.

Facebook marketplace is a life saver. Got a Babyletto Hudson for 120$ with toddler rail, I think it retails around 499$. Just have to check multiple times a day to look for ones in the color and condition you want.

We have the Hudson and love it! We transitioned our almost 3yo when she was 2 and will be putting it back into crib formation for our second when he’s born in April (will be getting a twin for our daughter). It’s still in great shape :)

I just took apart that same Babyletto Hudson in green today. It was a hand me down from my husbands cousin about 5 years ago we were using in the spare bedroom and it’s in good condition for what it’s worth! Even with the beaver toddler who gnaws on the cribs lately it stood better than the Delta crib.

That’s my favorite style they make! So lovely!

Do you have any of those auctions that are often Amazon (and other shops) returns? They’ve become extremely popular locally for me and you can get a bunch of nice baby things from them often still in the box. That’s how I got my perfect condition Babyletto Hudson crib for $75 total. It’s beautiful, but I wouldn’t have paid $500 for a crib otherwise.
Thread: "best convertible crib how do you even choose one as a first time parent?"
FTM due Monday and I was also very overwhelmed by this originally! We ended up getting a babyletto Hudson crib (just like a standard used crib?) off Facebook marketplace for $150 then bought a new mattress off Amazon. It’s sturdy and will turn into a toddler bed when we need it to. We also got a bedside bassinet for the newborn stage. Buying all that was still way cheaper than getting one of the fancy convertible cribs!!
Thread: "What kind of crib did you buy from where?"
depending on how long you’re planning on keeping it (i.e. something convertible up to a full sized bed that they’ll use until sometime in their teens) it really does make sense to go with a well built quality brand that’s sturdy and will hold up to long term use and from kids jumping on it and what not. the babyletto brand is solidly built and is greenguard gold certified which is an added benefit. i personally have the babyletto hudson (bought on amazon) and am planning on getting another from the same brand for my second once she’s ready to transition to one. i’ve also heard good things about pottery barn cribs but haven’t actually seen any in person to know the durability, but those are quite pricey from what i’ve researched. i will say, that i would absolutely LOVE a floorbed, and have heard that those who have them really like them, i just don’t trust my daughter not to destroy her room or break a lamp or something when she’s alone in her room.
