Baby Bjorn high chair

The Baby Bjorn high chair is a compact, easy-to-clean high chair designed for infants and toddlers. It features a minimalist design with no straps, making it simple to wipe down after meals.

Pros (+)

  • Compact size fits well in small spaces
  • Easy to wipe clean without straps
  • Highly praised by parents who own it

Cons (βˆ’)

  • No longer available from the manufacturer
  • Limited versatility compared to other high chairs

Why parents like it

Parents appreciate the high chair's small footprint, which fits well in tight spaces. The absence of straps means less hassle with cleaning, as food doesn't get stuck in hard-to-reach places.

Common complaints

Most parents have no complaints, though a few mention the difficulty of finding the chair since it has been discontinued. Some also note that it may not be as versatile as other high chairs that grow with the child.

Best for

Parents looking for a space-saving high chair that simplifies mealtime cleanup. The tradeoff is that it may not be available new, limiting options for purchase.

Bottom line

Highly recommended for its ease of cleaning and compact design, but availability may be an issue.

Baby bjorn if you can get one from marketplace. It makes the ikea ones seem so hard to clean. And difficult to but in. We used it from 4-20 months and then moved to the mock version of the trippe trappe until about 4. I really didnt like the ikea one for everday use. My babies just never seemed comfortable in them. I'd look.for a mouded plastic one that is more supportive or a the mocka version of the trippe trapp. By the time you get all the accessories to make it reasonably supportive you might as well buy one with foot rests and trays. The phil and teds poppy or bugaboo giraffe look great

Agree! We bought a Baby Bjorn high chair off Marketplace as Baby Bjorn don't sell them anymore. It's great. It has a footrest and harness, it's easy to wipe down, and the tray can be removed for cleaning. Legs are very sturdy, can definitely feel the difference between the Baby Bjorn and the IKEA/Kmart chairs we use at restaurants.

I had the same thoughts! I thought it was meh, good for the price but good luck getting any Reddit suggestions other than IKEA or Stokke (which I also didn't really like in store). I ended up seeing an old thread recommending the baby Bjorn high chairs which are now discontinued and decided it was perfect lol. Stalked marketplace and found one secondhand. Bit left of centre, but if you can find one I love it! I don't see the point of buying a meh highchair for cheap, id rather get a good one secondhand for the same price (+ the add ons).

Thread: "Tell me about your highchair!"

We have the Baby Bjorn high chair. I love it because it is tiny, easy to wipe clean and it doesnt have any straps that can get encrusted with food. It is so small (and folds up even smaller) we usually chuck it in the car when going to friends or family or even to a restaurant. I did get the Mamas and Papas Snax highchair but it was so massive and such a pain to clean. I hated how it cluttered the house as well. The Ikea one is really similar to the baby bjorn in terms of size (plus it is less than 10% of the price of the baby bjorn) so if youre looking for something compact and easy to clean i'd recommend both!

A second hand baby bjorn. They don’t sell them here anymore and they are the absolute best high chairs.

Was also going to recommend this. I love ours and it's been through 4 kids and held up beautifully.
