i use mine so much that the price is worth it to me. the slip is easy to clean/throw in the wash. i put her in it when we’re eating dinner, im washing dishes, etc. i’m not sure how other comparable ones hold up (maybe someone can speak on that) but i got mine on prime day plus my registry discount.

We have a baby bjorn and a cheap $30 one from fisher price or something (both hand me downs). Function is identical. I actually think baby prefers cheap one because of toy bar and it seems like she is able to bounce it herself more easily. Baby bjorn is definitely more aesthetically pleasing for adults and folds down nicely

They pop up frequently on Marketplace. I got one for $50 with the attached rattler toy thing. You can pop the cover off and put it in the washing machine, just put it back on the bouncer while it's still damp from the machine and let it dry in place.

We call it the expensive poop chair haha. It’s very convenient when it’s time to go out, we just pop him in there for a few minutes to see if he needs to poop before we leave!

Not safe for sleep but great for a safe place to put baby while you use the restroom, cook something, shower, etc. we called ours the Poop Chair bc every time we put our son in it, he would poop shortly after bc of the position it puts baby in. So…also good if you have a constipated baby lol

It’s expensive but we have used it every. single. day. since it arrived. My husband won’t stop singing it’s praises, he thinks it’s the best baby item we own. In my mind the price seems partly justified given a few reasons: it’s engineered for safety, no assembly required, *shockingly* easy to clean, relatively small footprint (once folded), lightweight enough that you can move it one-handed. It also has multiple settings to support newborns and infants, allegedly even toddlers once you flip the seat. And it looks nice but most importantly it seems to be very comfortable for the baby. If it was a dud I would have absolutely returned it given the cost, but this is the rare exception where the price was worth it to me.

Holy crap, it is by far the best item i bought for my kids. My older daughter absolutely loved it, she used it both as a bouncer and later, when she started walking, as a chair. Baby brother is four months now, falls asleep in it for every nap and i just transfer him to the crib. It’s magical 😅

We did not get one and I’ll tell you our fisher price bouncer was… okay. It never fit his body the right way and he was constantly slamming his heels into a metal bar and eventually plastic. Because of that he never worked towards bouncing himself so his tolerance for the chair was limited to a handful of minutes. It was curved in a way that he always slumped uncomfortably in it and eventually I learned to roll a towel into a supportive seat for him in the chair. Finally the slip cover could only come off if you disassembled the whole thing. It only served its purpose as a place to put baby down for a minute (like pee really fast minute, not like fold the laundry minutes). So if the Björn bouncer actually exceeds all these criteria then I would get that instead.

Hello! I'm not super familiar with others in the market. But I've found the Bjorn baby so helpful. My LO is 9 weeks, 4 adjusted. I personally find it v helpful when I need to shower or go to the toilet lol. My LO naps on me so there isn't much opportunity for me to leave him to do tasks. I think as he gets older, he will enjoy bouncing in it more and looking at the world from it. It's really lightweight so I can easily carry it around and travel with it if I drive.

I can’t remember exactly when we started using ours, maybe around 2 months, but up until ours has been sitting up on their own it’s been so helpful. Great to move it around the house for them to watch you do a chore or something sitting upright rather than just lying on their back. I would get a toy bar too. Also, we have strategically used ours before car journeys as usually if their due a poo it helps bring it on - saves that happening in the car!

It’s the only bouncer I’ve ever had, and it was a gift, but I love it. It’s so sturdy that it barely looks used after two chunky boys have used it, it folds away, it’s got three different height settings for different uses. However I wouldn’t prioritise it over anything else and if I had purchased my own bouncer I’d happily have gone with a cheaper one. Can you see if anyone is reselling one?

BEST baby product we own! It was great during newborn stage so that I could put the baby down and I would even place it right outside the shower so that i could keep an eye on him. We actually love it even MORE now that he’s older (5 mo) - he loves to bounce himself in the chair and will catch some serious air by propelling his legs.

You don't NEED the Bjorn one specific brand but any bouncer is helpful in my opinion. I have a 50-60$ one and it's perfect for me. 200$ is excessive in my opinion and I don't understand what it does better than the average one? But if you can afford it and feel it's better go for it!not for overnight sleeps but if you're in the room and they nap totally ok. It's more a rest chair than a "crib"

I got it second hand for €50 ($55 ish) including the toy bar. We used it several times a day from week 1 til around 6 months when she started sitting independently. It folds down so is great for tight spaces and travelling. Mine bounced away in it while I did chores, showered etc. We even brought it on picnics and to the beach. Last month we took it out again and flipped the cover around to be in "toddler" mode and my 15 month old loves it. Bounces on it the whole time and loves lying in it to read. Best 50 spent.

I didn’t see it mentioned but it also folds flat which is great to take it on a road trip to a friends house etc and have a place to set the baby. Both my kids loved it. It’s the only way I can cook, eat, shower, etc. 100% it is the poop chair. I put a cloth behind the baby’s butt because I got tired of washing it so much. My newborn is the third kid to use it (let a cousin borrow it inbetween my two babies) and it still looks like new.

So I didn't buy mine new but got it for half off from a consignment store. The frame is much sturdier and the fabric seat of the baby Bjorn is designed better than the Bright Starts bouncer I bought off Amazon for my parents' house. The Baby Bjorn holds them better and can be more accommodating for a longer baby. I found the bright starts bouncer to be more shallow and not as sturdy. The folding flat feature is also excellent if you don't have a ton of space or if you bring the bouncer with you. I will say that our favorite bouncer is one that is no longer made by Fisher Price that I got off of Facebook Marketplace. It was taller and deeper and had vibration and sounds. My son never fell asleep in bouncers so I was comfortable using it as he was always awake and never unattended.

It’s the one product I’ve used I recommend to everyone. It was so useful to have a place for my son to hang out that wasn’t on the floor (as he sometimes got upset if he couldn’t see us). It was also brilliant at rocking my son to sleep (where I’d then transfer him as it’s not rated for sleep) and getting him to poop. It came everywhere with us for the first 8 months or so till he outgrew the side that keeps them in it, it flattens down and you can get a travel case so it’s easy to take with you. Being able to take the cover off if there’s an accident and chuck it in the wash was a god send in the early days. Plus it’s just so easy to use, my mum was genuinely shocked at how little effort I had to put into bouncing it compared to the ones that were around when I was a baby.

I have the ergobaby evolve, but got it for ~$260 new, not $399, making it cheaper than the Bjorn. We went to baby Bunting and put bub in each of the bouncers. It and the baby bjorn were the only ones she actually settled in. The others she seemed very uncomfortable with the bouncing action as they seemed more jerky.
