Willow Go is the best! I’m on my third baby and have tried quite a few. Preferred this to spectra. I popped them into my bra and pumped in the car, while out with the stroller. They’re a little noisy and make you look like Dolly Parton (I’m naturally flat), so you can’t conduct a business meeting in them! Acceleron has them for $180 with insurance, whereas I saw them on Aeroflow for $250!

This is the exact post I need right now because I also have a Willow Go and I don't love it, so I'm looking to trade for something else. I'm not a Momcozy shill, but I have the V2 and I love it! I get about the same as my Spectra, and it's really convenient to take on the go. Anytime I'm driving, I'm pumping with the V2 🤣 I like that the motor is external, so the cups are SO LIGHT and I'm able to adjust suction and mode without having to reach into my shirt. I know Willow and some Momcozys have an app, but that wouldn't be available to me while driving, so having the motor in my lap and just reaching down to adjust with a quick look is much preferred. It's also only 3 pieces (4 with an insert) so washing and putting back together is a breeze compared to the Willow Go. Ugh, just going to complain about the Willow Go for a minute!! The V2 has tubing, which has not been an issue for me so far, since I can just tuck it down my shirt, but I thought I would try to get another truly wearable/cord free pump to take on the go. Plus the Willow Go design is so pretty it lured me in 🤦🏼♀️ I really regret spending my money on the Willow Go. It's so heavy, I feel like I'm going to get a clog because of the weight on my chest. The design is so clunky and a pain to put together and take apart, and with the motor in the middle, you can't do the fridge hack. If anyone else is thinking about it, don't do it!! I wish I got the M5 or Eufy instead. Hopefully I can trade for one :') Good luck with your search!

I don’t think wearables in general are touted as hospital grade - if they do, they’re full of crap because people who empty fully on wearables are the exception, not the norm (IMO). I’ve used the Momcozy and have the Willow Go, and both are loud. Elvies are the quietest wearables that I have tried/owned, but also doesn’t fully empty.

I like my willow go. I can generally get 3-5 oz each time. It’s pull it’s comparable to my spectra so it’s an easy transition. So MANY parts to clean though. In addition, if you pump above 4oz on one side, it has been prone to leaking out the flange for me which sucks- considering it’s suppose to hold up to 5oz. I tried the MomyCozy M5 and did not respond to it. I could never set my nipple right and the suction actually hurt. I was so hopeful to have a second pump that was easier to clean and that the fridge hack would work with, but it never panned out.

I also only use my Willow Go as my main pump since 3 months pp (baby is now 9 months). I’ve been able to maintain and increase it to this oversupply that I’m trying to reduce now.

Don’t get the willow go. I love aspects of it but the dang motor breaks all the freaking time. I’m 3.5 months pp, this is not my main pump, and I’ve already had to get 2 replacements. They’re free, but still so freaking inconvenient when it takes 3-5 days to get a replacement.
It's hard to say since different moms respond better to different pumps, but I looooove the Willow Go. I only pump at work now, but I rotate days and will use the Willow Go only one day and my Pumpables GA with Medela cups the next day. For a cheaper pump, the Tsrete S23 on Amazon is good (I still break it out from time to time and it does the job) but I find the Willow Go more comfortable and easier to clean.

Thread: "Momcozy's M9 Mobile Flow review"
I just received my Momcozy M9. I was very torn between the Willow Go and the M9. My choice to purchase the M9 was based off many reviews of the Willow that sounded like it was less than ideal for an undersupplier like myself, ie didn't have enough suction/ didn't empty people fully. I have very small flange sizes (13 &15), so the inserts it came with weren't small enough. The inserts I use for my Spectra fit perfectly so I didn't have to buy anything separately. You do not have to use the Momcozy brand inserts. For me, the amount of parts to wash is not a huge deal, I'm using them as secondary pumps for on-the-go as I have a Spectra that's my primary pump. I also purchased the Medela cleaning wipes to use when I can't wash with soap and water. I've used the pumps 4x so far, and here's my thoughts: 1st use: I went slow with settings just to get a feel for it, tried it out at my house. The low settings seemed pretty gentle, and I didn't get crazy with all the options. Just a few mins on stimulation and then expression, and alternated twice during my 20 min session. Ended up with a pretty average amount for me of ~2oz total (yep, very low supplier 🫤) 2nd use: at a friend's wedding- used in the parking lot, my husband said I didn't look as much like Dolly Parton as I felt, so that's a win! I feel like with a sweater or less revealing dress/shirt I would have been comfortable being seen by others, but I just hung around the car this time. Same thing, didn't get crazy with testing settings, stayed on the low end 1-2 and low option. Got about 2oz total session again, but it was an evening pumps, and I'm usually below 2 anyway 3rd use: While driving home from wedding- didn't bother me at all, they are fairly quiet but you can still hear them. Biggest distraction was the different cycles per side; if you don't turn them on at the same time, they aren't synced which feels strange when you're used to double- pumping with a Spectra. I bumped up the levels this time, going all the way to 6/7. BAD IDEA! I was super sore that evening at home, and I'm not sure if it can directly correlate that quickly, but I had lower pump amounts all night, especially from my slacker side. Cleaned with my other supplies at night, just soap and water. Parts are honestly easy to break down, and I love that the reservoirs are also travel storage containers! 4th use: afternoon at home, tried the customization choice, where you can set up your pump cycle for each side and run it automatically, which I love. There is a pre-loaded option for Milk Increase which i got very excited about, so I tried that. First, it worked! I got 2 oz total from my slacker side alone, (which has only happened once before on a morning pump that I missed an alarm and went 4 hours instead of 3). Downside- OUCH. During the pumping, after about 13 mins, I could tell I was feeling a bit twingy, kinda achy, so I bumped back down to a low setting for the rest of my pump. I did go 30 mins (I pump 20min/2 hours or 30min/3 hours), and when I was done, I felt very tender. Upon inspection, my nipples were very cracked! I feel like they would have been bleeding had I stayed on that setting the whole time. The double silicone flanges + silicone inserts are very comfy, basically cushy after the hard plastic of the Spectra parts! I don't think they feel that heavy, of course I haven't tried other wearables, but they aren't too bad. It doesn't seem too difficult to match up the openings with my nipples, and the nursing bra I had on held them in place just fine (side note- love these bras so far! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D567LLC9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Supportive and soft! I did remove the padding from one pair to fit the wearables better) Size of collection containers- I've seen people say they leak if they get too full, I guess I can't comment on that because I'll probably never get close to the 5oz it is supposed to hold. I LOVE the app option. I can manage everything with my phone without having to shove my hand down my shirt. Closing thoughts- I think I'm going to like these pumps, but I would highly recommend easing into use so you don't cause damage to yourself. I gave myself a 3 hour break after the ouchie pump, and while I'm still slightly more sore than normal, I used Earth Mama nipple butter in between, and my regular pump settings and got my average amount with my reg. amount. I'll come back with an update after a while!

I ultimately ended up trying a few pumps! I started with the spectra 1, and it was a workhorse for sure. If you want maximum output, that or another medical-grade wall pump is gonna be best. Next I ended up buying a wearable, the Willow Go, because we were traveling for the holidays and I needed something more mobile. I loved the wearable but there were a few pitfalls — you have to keep buying new parts for it because it wears out. This is true of all pumps technically, but I felt like the Willow Go went through more. Also, the output is just not as good. It was enough for me, but we also combo fed and I was still breastfeeding as well. I also had one of the batteries crap out on me which was super annoying. Pitfalls aside, it was still my preferred pump. Being hooked up to the wall was frustrating and made me feel insane. Finally, I bought a little hand pump and was honestly super impressed. It was most handy for pump + dump situations, where I just needed to express some milk for comfort, but it was really quick and effective. I feel for you — it's such a hard question to try and figure out as a first-time parent! You just won't know what you need until you're doing it. That being said, I think if you feel like you'll hate the wall pump and really want a wearable, go with your gut. You'll make it work. And, little hand pumps are like 20 bucks if you need something to help empty out. Good luck!

I have the Willow Go. I honestly loved it. It comes with 5 Oz cups but you can get 7oz if needed. I liked it because it advertised hospital grade suction and I felt they lived up to that claim. It worked just as well as my spectra. They have a year warranty. I sent them a picture when one of mine cracked and got a new one a few days later. One thing that annoyed me though was you needed to assemble them just right or they would work properly. You can get flange inserts on Amazon for a better fit too. If she's pumping on the go, get a ceres chiller. Keeps milk cold all day.

I have the Willow Go as a backup / travel pump, I am 11 wpp and only recently did it become easy(ish) and comfortable (kinda) to use. Would have gone crazy using it as a primary (I feel like my Spectra “trained” my boobs to be able to pump). Willow Go is bulky and heavy and the bags only hold 4 oz each. The commercial images of moms happily chasing their older kids is wild to me, I feel like they would just fly off my boobs if I moved too fast 😂 That being said its nice to be able to pump in the car if we are running late or stay somewhere later than we intended.

Loved both Elvie stride and Willow go! I used a medela pump at home as my main pump, took the others to work. Like others have said, the wearable pumps can be finicky. You have to position them correctly and wear a tight bra to hold them in place and maintain suction. That being said, it’s still nicer than having to stay by a heavy pump that has to be plugged into a wall outlet. All of them take some trial and error to get the hang of using them

And SO much easier - no pumping bra needed, just slip them in and hit start. And it has an app where you can adjust settings, but there are also physical buttons on the pump that do the same thing if you want. I don’t use my spectra at all now because the outputs were so similar and its worlds more convenient. I can get about 3 pumps from 1 charge. I do not have experience with the Stride, but I do use both the Spectra S1 and the Willow Go. I was pleasantly surprised with the power of the Willow Go. As a twin mom I was told by a couple lactation consultants not to use a wearable until my supply was established, so I assumed my Willow wouldn't be very powerful. It is very powerful and I get just as much milk in a session pumping with the Willow as the Spectra. The Willow is similar to the Spectra in the sense that it has sort of a vibrating stimulation and suction, and you're correct that the suction can be adjusted in both stimulation and expression modes. I would say if you are on the fence, go with the Willow, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Personally I use spectra S9 with the medela cups (I just cut the little plastic off) and I love it. I had the willow go, momcozy s9, Elvie, and the spectra collection cups and I like this medela set up the best.

It’s not unnoticeable in my bra but it’s not wildly lumpy like the S12. The annoying part is the motor is in the middle so you gotta be careful washing parts, and you can’t just stick the whole thing in the fridge. It’s not a spectra or any other wall pump, it’s of course not going to be as powerful, but it works surprisingly well for me. It has a bigger capacity than most wearables, and is on the heavy side (because the motor is inside, not on top), but it’s slim so it fits in my bra better than the Momcozy.

The design is so clunky and a pain to put together and take apart, and with the motor in the middle, you can't do the fridge hack. If anyone else is thinking about it, don't do it!! I wish I got the M5 or Eufy instead. Hopefully I can trade for one :') Good luck with your search!
Thread: "Which Momcozy wearable pump and why?"
I ended up buying the Eufy but my other top choices were the Willow Go and the Momcozys. Here is my spreadsheet! It helped decide based on suction, weight, etc. https://preview.redd.it/yogz8xmx7d0f1.png?width=2108&format=png&auto=webp&s=40e469f47085feb0cf5a831dff688480485c3b0b
Thread: "Opinions on wearable breast pumps"
I don’t think wearables in general are touted as hospital grade - if they do, they’re full of crap because people who empty fully on wearables are the exception, not the norm (IMO). I’ve used the Momcozy and have the Willow Go, and both are loud. Elvies are the quietest wearables that I have tried/owned, but also doesn’t fully empty.
Thread: "Hands free breast pumps"
They have been on sale recently for $262, so I definitely would not use the insurance allowance on the willow go at all!!! Id get a free one and buy another out of pocket if you’re gonna spend this tbh
Thread: "What are the best Wearable pumps?!"
Thread: "What’s the strongest wearable pump?"
I also only use my Willow Go as my main pump since 3 months pp (baby is now 9 months). I’ve been able to maintain and increase it to this oversupply that I’m trying to reduce now.
Thread: "Why did you choose your wearable pump, what do you like about, what would you change?"
Thread: "Best wearable pump 2024?"
Thread: "What are the best Wearable pumps?!"
I really like my Willow Gos - I get great output and they're easy to learn to use! Only con is the cost really
Thread: "Best portable breast pump?"
I use my Willow Go multiple times a day and got the same output I did with a spectra!
Thread: "Help me pick a breast pump!"
You should know momcozy does an insane amount of astroturfing. I found the wearable that worked best for me was the Willow go, but this was 2 years ago, and the market seems to have exploded even more
Thread: "Help me pick a breast pump!"
Good luck!
Thread: "Why did you choose your wearable pump, what do you like about, what would you change?"
Thread: "What is the BEST hands free pump you've used?"
Thread: "Hands free breast pumps"
Loved both Elvie stride and Willow go! I used a medela pump at home as my main pump, took the others to work. Like others have said, the wearable pumps can be finicky. You have to position them correctly and wear a tight bra to hold them in place and maintain suction. That being said, it’s still nicer than having to stay by a heavy pump that has to be plugged into a wall outlet. All of them take some trial and error to get the hang of using them
Thread: "Hands free breast pumps"
I use the Willow go and it’s the best hands-free pump I’ve used. And they have a great warranty. 1 year. Mine cracked on Monday and they already sent the new one.
Thread: "Wearable Breast pumps"
I just got the Willow Go and I’m totally in love. I have a spectra pump and expected to have way lower output with the willow but it’s nearly identical! Being able to run around and do stuff while pumping feels life changing.
Thread: "What are the best Wearable pumps?!"
Chiming in - I use an S1 and WillowGo with comparable output each time. S1: I run on 50/5-6. WillowGo I use on level 3. I do have to pump about 10 minutes longer with the WillowGo to get the same output BUT I have learned that it’s great for power pumps. Easy to start/stop while in bra and continue life during the breaks.
Thread: "Wearable Breast pumps"
I have the eufy and the willow go. I like the eufy better because it has less parts. I stopped using a wall pump 2ish mpp
Thread: "What’s the strongest wearable pump?"
I also use the Willow go as my primary pump and have been able to slowly increase my supply so that I no longer need to supplement! I also have the willow 3.0 which I don’t like. I think the reason it’s supposed to not be your primary pump is the motors. From what I’ve read they can last a year or so doing 3 15 minute pumps per day. I currently do 7-8 25 minute pumps, and 1 or 2 power pumps, so I’m sure I’m going to have to replace them, but I don’t mind they are so convenient.
Thread: "Help me pick a breast pump!"
I got the s1 with my first pregnancy and I have the willow go. Not crazy about the wearables but good in a pinch. Love the s1! Currently pregnant with #2. Which pump would you recommend I get this time? I do pump at work so it would be nice to leave one there.
Thread: "Why did you choose your wearable pump, what do you like about, what would you change?"
Ok I thought it was just me! And I’m through the warranty period now for #2 so that’s super annoying!
Thread: "Pros/cons Elvie vs Willow"
They do use different suction patterns (thank goodness)! I don't think you will have any issues with the Go. The levels are quite a bit lower. 😊 Wish someone would come up with a rental company or a way to try these products!
Thread: "Best hands free pump? Willow, momcozy, or Elvie?"
I have the Willow Go and Bellababy wearables. I’ve been told the Bellababy is comparable to the Momcozy. Neither are discrete. My coworker told me her Momcozy was pretty loud as well. I think if you want discrete, the more expensive Willow or Elvie pumps are the way to go.
Thread: "Best wireless hands free breast pump to use when I return to work as a teacher?"
Willow Go - 6 months and still going strong! I exclusively pump too.
Thread: "Help, Is Wearable Pump Bra Worth It for Low Supply?"
My husband bought me the Willow Go to help me get pumps in while he’s at work and it’s life changing. I also use the spectra s1 but I can’t hold my baby/really get anything done lugging that thing around. I’m 6 weeks postpartum and have been using it since week 3. My output is comparable to the spectra within 1/2 an ounce I do however double my pump time.
Thread: "Best hands free pump? Willow, momcozy, or Elvie?"
I use the Willow GO during Zoom meetings and it’s fine. Would be noticeable in person though.
Thread: "Which Momcozy wearable pump and why?"
Oh I looooove pumping data I LOVE IT
Thread: "Recs for best handsfree pump?"
It's just that the price for willow go is a bit high, and I'm thinking about perhaps a more affordable yet still efficient choice. The video is helpful but it's been some years and I may also look into some more recent youtube reviews for the pump recs. Still, thank you for the tips and video!
Thread: "Hands free breast pumps"
I wouldn’t recommend. You’ll spend SO many frustrating moments troubleshooting when you should be pumping if you use the fridge hack. Moncozy m9. AND you can set it down because the bottom is flat. And it still has an app to control it that actually likes to connect to the pumps.
Thread: "What is the BEST hands free pump you've used?"
I can’t speak to the elvie, but I’m using the Willow Go as my primary pump and it’s working great. I used the Freemie with my last child and that worked well too, but I am loving a cord-free option. The only minor complaint I have with the Willow is that the app doesn’t have a pump history/session tracker, but I just use the baby tracker app (free) and it’s not a big deal at all.
Thread: "HELP. Can't decide between Willow Go and Elvie Stride!"
Thread: "Best wearable pump 2024?"
Personally I use spectra S9 with the medela cups (I just cut the little plastic off) and I love it. I had the willow go, momcozy s9, Elvie, and the spectra collection cups and I like this medela set up the best.
Thread: "Undersuppliers, this is for you! Thinking about getting a wearable?"
Happy to read this! I have/ had a willow go, spectra gold portable, zommee and buddha with legendary milk cups. I swore i was done trying to find a wearable but after finding out my baby a (twin mom) is lactose intolerant and needed to change my diet dramatically to continue pumping, i gifted myself an m5! Im still waiting for it to arrive. I purchased directly from mom cozy as they have a 30 day product guarantee and 20% off coupon.
Thread: "Breast Pumps, the good, the bad, and the ugly?"
I’ve used the willow Go, motif duo portable, and spectra 1. Hands down get the spectra. I didn’t realize how weak the willow pump was and how much I didn’t like how slow the motif was until I got the spectra from my insurance and it’s sooo much better and customizable also it has a little light if you want to use it for middle of the night pumps. I shlep it to and from work now and it’s not that bad they even make backpacks specifically for it on Amazon.
Thread: "Pros/cons Elvie vs Willow"
I am sure it’s hard to find someone who has had both. I had the willow go and I loved it. Emptied me just as well as the my primary and gave me so much freedom. The app sucks though.
Thread: "What is the BEST hands free pump you've used?"
I also have a Willow go which I really like, but the output isn’t quite the same as the Pumpables GA with regular flanges so that’s what I use mostly since I’m very clog prone
Thread: "Any wearable pumps that are good for exclusively pumping?"
I do get a little bit less with my wearables (Willow go) but my supply is still increasing since getting them because I was struggling so much to pump often enough. I still make sure to do at least 3 PPD with my wall pump and use the wearables in between.
Thread: "Best portable breast pump?"
What settings do you use on your Willow Go? I can’t seem to get it quite figured out like I have my Spectra.
Thread: "What’s your favorite portable/wearable breast pump?"
I’ve tried the Elvie stride and I liked that you could control it with the app, and log how many oz you pumped in each cup at the end of each session. it started to leak but their customer service it really good and they sent me new seals. I have the willow go now and it’s truly wireless. I much prefer not having the tubes. I’ve only used it a couple times but I’ll be using it for work over the Elvie. They’re both pains to clean though.
Thread: "Wearable Breast pumps"
Seconding that the willow go give the same output as a spectra, in the same amount of time! I recommend them to everyone
Thread: "Wearable Breast pumps"
Love the Eufy! Wish I had purchased sooner than I did postpartum.
Thread: "Pros/cons Elvie vs Willow"
I can only tolerate the lower level suctions (2-4) on the Spectra, how does it compare to the Willow Go? I've used the Willow 2.0 and couldn't get used to the suction pattern but if I understand it correctly the Willow Go and the regular Willows use different suction patterns.
Thread: "HELP. Can't decide between Willow Go and Elvie Stride!"
The Willow 3.0 and Willow Go have completely different suction patterns. The 3.0 attaches to the nipple while the Go is similar to the Spectra. I got the Spectra SG after hearing such great things about Spectra but that suction does not work for me. I probably had to modify it but the Willow 3.0 and Medela Pump in Style Maxflow worked great for me. So the Go sounds like it would be a good fit for you.
Thread: "Elvie wearable vs. Willow Go?"
I don’t have any experience with the Elvie but I recently got a Willow Go and I LOVE it. My previous wearable was a Momcozy s12 and boy is it an upgrade.
Thread: "Elvie vs Willow Go pump?"
I think your output is always going to be less with a wearable, unfortunately. I have a willow go that I think but I have heard elvie is preferred over willow go. It was cheaper so I went with it and it worked fine but yes less output
Thread: "Stressing about the best pump for being a working mom"
I just returned this week and I use my willow go on the way to work and on the way home. I bring my spectra s1 and I pump twice at work. The spectra parts take up less room than the willow go, their flanges are HUGE. Pump carrying bag 2 sets of spectra pump parts 2 sets of Willow go parts 2 wet bags (hold dirty parts and clean parts) Spectra S1 pump Willow Go pump with case and chargers Pump wipes (or wipes in general for messes) Cere chiller (I have access to a fridge but it's for the ride home) I have 5 sets of spectra parts (one is in the mail) 3 sets of Willow go parts 6 wet bags I've been ordering stuff as I need to as well. Good luck!
