I second Tubby Todd AOO! Great stuff. I’ll add the Tushbaby carrier and Hatch sound machine - don’t know how we’d live without these!
Thread: "Gooseket vs Senarah vs Tushbaby"
My Senarah carrier has finally arrived so I wanted to provide an update with a quick review. I'll start with the cons- Shipping: It took a month to arrive ordered on November 29th, arrived December 28th. Quality: The quality right out of the package did not feel like the $50 carrier I was expecting. The material feels extremely cheap and not something I would trust to hold my toddler. Use: I did try it out with my daughter (15 months old), it applied a lot of pressure to my shoulder and you definitely need to use your other arm wrapped around them the entire time The one pro is that it is very small and packable, not bulky like the tush baby I've been using. Overall, I don't think it's worth the money and have already started the return process which I'm hoping goes smoothly. I was really looking forward to a less bulky alternative to the Tushbaby but it doesn't look like this is it
Thread: "$800 baby carrier…"
Confession: I have an artipoppe. NOT the $800 one. I ended up getting a bunch of other carriers as hand me downs or buy nothing group finds but the artipoppe and the tush baby are the only two I use because of how easy they are to get on and the fact that they saved my back. Especially after suffering a shoulder and spinal injury in a car accident when baby was 4 months. Honorable mention to the sollybaby and baby ktan wrap carriers that worked well for a while too.

tushbaby. never got the hang of carriers but this is saving my life.
Thread: "Toddler slings?"
Ring slings do have a learning curve, but I think you would find it easier to learn with a toddler that can support their body than a floppy baby. To me, the issue with the carriers pictured here are that they aren’t hands free or even stable for the toddler to sit. I think even a Tush Baby (bulky, I know) would be more stable. A hip carry in a ring sling can be hands free with a baby that can support their body, like your toddler would be able to.
Thread: "Gooseket vs Senarah vs Tushbaby"
Update: I tried the Gooseket and I’m not a fan. I find it difficult to get my toddler in/out of it. I wonder if the scoop seat of the Senarah would work better but I feel they are more or less the same. It also starts to feel heavy faster than the Tushbaby, it just puts pressure in a different place. Tushbaby just works better for me.
Thread: "Just buy the expensive baby carrier"
Yes, yes and yes to both. The two best purchases that i made of baby things were my Tula explorer and Tushbaby. I used my tula until my baby was too tall to fit in it. I got the tula toddler. The tushbaby I use daily. I don't pack a diaper bag or take a purse, everything fits in the tushbaby. It's my utility belt, I don't leave home without it. Toddler is almost 3 and we've used it since she was 1.5. Get the good carriers. If anyone is in LA there is a great baby wearing group that has monthly free mertips were you can talk to a baby wearing professional, try different baby carriers from their baby carrier library abcd the will teach you how to safely baby wear.

I have the hatch but it doesn’t seem like magic to me. Maybe I’m not using it to its full potential haha
Thread: "Toddler slings?"
Tushbaby is what you’re looking for. I have a tushbaby and a knockoff Gooseket sling. While I don’t use either very often, I prefer the tushbaby. It’s easiest for ups and downs and really makes holding them easier. I was at the zoo recently with my 18 month old and it was great.

At what age did you start using tushbaby carrier? What age or weight are they too heavy to stop? Curious because my baby is 8 months old and on the bigger side.
Thread: "Is Artipoppe worth it?"
Husband and I are same heights as you guys. Get separate carriers. It’s the only way. One can be an artepoppe of you like it. My husband loved the ergobaby 360 but it was too big for me. He used it every day though. I used a k’tan and WildBird ring sling. Both those were gifts. If I’d picked my own, I’d have purchased something like the Artepoppe but more affordable and good for petite women. I adore the k’tan but it wasn’t great once my baby was bigger. I’m pregnant again and will definitely use it daily for this next newborn. For current child (26lbs, 34” tall) we both use the Tushbaby exclusively haha
Thread: "$800 baby carrier…"
I got one too, and I’m not apologizing! With the referral code, the price was similar to ergo baby. And it’s WAY cuter. If something makes me feel cute during the postpartum frump phase, then good for me thanks tho have a good day 🌈
Thread: "Baby carrier for big guys? (to carry their babies I'm not a weirdo)"
Tushbaby with the expansion belt. For heavy duty I used Kelly Perfectdit Jounrey to carry my kid five days around SDCC. I attached neck fans to it to keep him and myself cool
