After trying several bottles in a trial pack, we landed on Philips Avent. We use glass, but if you prefer anti colic ones, they make those too (but plastic). No leaking. Bottles we tried: comotomo (I think they’re overrated + hard to see the markings/how much has been consumed), nanobebe (clear silicone on the markings made it easier to see, eventually the shape drove me a little crazy though), and NUK (was fine, but have read their nipple is not recommended if you are BF) EDIT: With BF you probably don’t want the Philips AVENT colic bottle. Check out their “natural response” bottles (that’s what we use in glass, they also come in plastic), meant to more closely mimic suck if required by breastfeeding. We don’t use the colic ones so didn’t realize they have a different nipple - more like standard bottles.

We used Phillips Avent glass without any problems, and later switched to Dr. Brown’s glass when we were dealing with gassiness. If you end up using formula, I found it super helpful to premix a batch for the day in a pitcher for the fridge— Bormioli Rocco makes a glass one with a lid that seals.

Phillips Avent glass, you just buy different nipples as they get older to change the speed of the flow. I use both Dr. Browns and Advent, both in the glass version but we like the Phillips better - my daughter seems the like the shape of the nipples more.

FWIW my 9mo still nurses and in daycare takes a bottle; she used Nuk bottles and didn’t have nipple confusion or any problems

We could only find the glass Philips Avent and I saw on TikTok that the Evenflo Wide Balance nipples (that come on their plastic bottles) actually fit on them! Just a PSA to any moms that want glass and the breastfeeding-friendly nipples but can't find glass Evenflo

Switched from Dr. Browns to Philips Advent glass, because I was tired of washing all the parts and have no regrets 🙌🏾

Maybe the glass are better. I remember vividly splashing baby a few times with the plastic ones years ago lol.

Philips Avent Glass with Lansinoh Nipples. Baby didn't care for the avent nipples but the Lansinoh fit on the same bottles!

First time parents. 0 didn't work for us either, like you said almost nothing was coming out. Size 1 from the start was perfect (still very slow, it matches other brands' slowest teats) then go up based on what baby wants, not schedule of company (you'll know, they'll start getting really fussy around bottle even when hungry). That's the main lesson I learned, follow baby not brand (ask GP/midwife/HV if unsure). I personally preferred the glass Phillips Avent over the other brands for some small details (we also used glass Lansinoh, Mam and Tommee Tippee) : it's almost impossible to line up the lid wrong when screwing because of how it's made (happened at least once a week with the others), you can put down the lid+cap upside-down when filling bottle (others roll) and there are holes in the cap so it doesn't pop off when shaking.

Baby actually likes the lansinoh nipple a little better, and it fits in the Avent bottles well! I learned this from Mama Nurse Tina and ordered the nipples because my baby hates the Philips nipples and I felt bad throwing away two perfectly good glass bottles. The nipple's a little taller, though, so the cap of the bottle kinda pushes down on the nipple when you close it, but since it's silicone it doesn't deform or anything like that.
