Thread: "Best non leaking anti-colic baby bottles for newborns?"
We’ve used Philips avent anti colic and they have worked very well.

I don’t know if any anti-colic bottle makes a huge difference. Btw - “anti-colic” is a misnomer, it’s basically anti-air. I used Dr. Brown’s and Philips Avent anti colic and my baby still had a lot of gas until about 4 months. We just gave her gas drops about once a day. Now she’s 5 months and it’s not an issue. I personally think it just takes time, but it can help to reduce the air in the milk. It’s just not going to be a miracle fix.

I base it off how long it takes my baby to finish a feed! It was taking him more than an hour to finish a mere 2 ounces but once I lined up the vent and sized up, it took him about 15-20 minutes. He also slurps, gulps and makes bubbles sometimes but you can usually fix/reduce that with paced bottle feeding. There’s many videos online that show you how to do that :)

I feel like my baby gets a bad latch so all these “anti-colic” bottles do nothing.
She latches somewhat descent on avent naturals but then gets gassy. She doesn’t latch with avent anti colic.
I thought she latched okay with doctor browns but she was still just as fussy as anything else.
I think I just have a gassy baby 🙁

These are my favorite, I prefer them to dr. Browns. No leaks and less parts to wash
Thread: "Philips Avent VS Dr. Browns anti-colic bottles - what’s your preference? My baby will be bottle fed only as I have no breasts."
I personally LOVE the Evenflo Wide Balance+ bottles, it’s an all in one with a nipple integrated anti colic vent. I used doc browns and Philips avent anti colic and both of them leaked like hell if they weren’t assembled 100% correctly

I loved Playtex Ventaire with my first. Due to manufacturing we had to find a new one. For my second, we are using Philips Avent Anti Colic. Neither child like MAM, Nuk, or either size Dr. Brown.

We succeeded with natural response but not with anti colic too!

I mean, I understand *why* they are recommended, but it seems in practicality they’re not very usable since most babies don’t successfully drink from them.

I know it’s recommended when breastfeeding, I ended up switching and staying with a 2. I used the regular avent and the anti colic.
