Thread: "Portable diaper changing pad (preferably clutch style) that does not contain PVC, PEVA or any other vinyl?"
To be honest, I’m not sure what the outer coating of this one is. I never went as far as reaching out to them to ask, but it says it “meets food contact standards.” We have the 4-sided one and have really liked it. I decided to splurge on it because I wanted something organic and non-toxic, which it is labeled as, since I know baby will spend a ton of time on it. https://earthhero.com/products/naturepedic-organic-cotton-changing-pad

I got the naturepedic changing pad. It seems super comfy-- baby instantly calms down when I set her on it for changing. I'm using an uppababy bassinet I got at a thrift store, seemed new/unused, I paired it with a jolly jumper rocking stand thats compatable. I like that this set up is light/small/portable enough for me to move her room to room or put her in in the bathroom doorway while I shower. Got a couple sets of burts bees organic cotton fitted bassinet covers and changing pad covers that are nice and soft and fit well. I got a baby bjorn bouncer with toy bar used online. I like that the fabric portion of the bouncer and toy bar are easily removable for washing. TBD if baby will like it, she is still a bit small for it.

I have the Naturepedic (two, actually) and I love it. I’ve maybe got poop on the cover a handful of times. I have two covers and swap them out if something gets in it. It’s super easy. Would be harder for me to go get a soapy washcloth to wipe it down.

I have both since we have 2 levels in our house and love them both! I would say baby definitely gets more upset on the Keekaroo since it is a little cold! The naturepedic one is really not hard to clean at all, it is still wipeable (just not as easy as the Keekaroo) but If I had to choose 1 I think I would go with the naturepedic since it’s not as cold!

We love our Naturepedic changing pad! And we went with the BabyBay bassinet which we honestly loved, and still use as a place to do tummy time while we’re cooking etc, drive her around like a Babymobile, etc.

I got the Naturepedic one and it was a huge pain to clean. My baby pooped on the change table at a few weeks old and it got all into the seams and was impossible to clean so I had to toss it. Then I bought a keekaroo. I wish I’d just saved the money and got a keekaroo from the start, it’s great.

Oh I’ve been been wondering about the babybay! Does the side come all the way down?

Question for you on the Naturepedic changing pad! Is it hard material or soft? Like if a mess gets on it, is it easy to clean or does it always require and change and wash?

I agree with a lot of people here! Changing pad: Naturepedic pad is standard size, nontoxic, and can be wiped down. You can often find a 20% off coupon. I found 100% organic cotton covers on Amazon. Bassinet: The guava lotus is great because it is Greengold Certified, and converts into a pack and play, which you will use for many years! Bouncer: Baby Bjorn. Everyone loves this thing. Play Set: Everyone recommends the Lovevery, which is great, but I went for a cheaper version on Amazon (Comfy Cubs) and purchased a quilt to put on top of my rug, and it's been perfect. They have lots of options on Etsy for solid wood play sets, too. Toys: Bannor Toys, Bella Luna, Haba toys Crib: The Ikea Sniglar is a very affordable option!! Crib mattress: Naturepedic again, we do love the brand :)
