Thread: "Never buy glass baby bottles"
We use glass bottles too (Lansinoh) and throw them away when there are any chips. They are typically on the outside around the threads and not near the milk. Was the shard small enough to fit through the nipple? If not, I would probably just chuck the bottle and try not to worry too much about it. If I was concerned about shards in the milk, I’d probably just pour through a very fine mesh strainer (a French press would be good for that) or cheese cloth. But your level of comfort may vary.

I really love lansinoh glass bottles with the slow flow nipple, my BF son gets a reaally wide latch on it, though a lot of people find the flow a little too fast still, but pace feeding can help a lot as well as the angle of the bottle etc

Thread: "glass baby bottles vs plastic or silicone?"
I first found it on the Lead Safe Mama website. I find the site overwhelming but I did appreciate the bottle information. Her findings were a big reason that some bottles were finally recalled, but some companies continue to find loopholes. For me the biggest bummer was the Lansinoh glass bottles having lead paint, because that was the only nipple my baby liked. Eta: I think the Pigeon brand has also been found with lead in the paint. Nuk too although I believe that was one of the recalls

On Amazon, lansinoch page, but seems like sometimes they are not available. Recently I broke one (and learned my lesson that I need silicone sleeves) and found some on ebay.

I like the glass lansinoh ones, super easy to clean and not too heavy in my hand.
