Thread: "Best portables with hospital grade suction?"

I’ve heard good things about the pumpables genie advanced being a very similar experience to the spectra. If I had a desire for another pump outside of my spectra s1 and Elvie pump, that’s what I’d get.

Thread: "Choosing between Elvie and Willow Go — any advice?"

I can't speak to the Willow but I have the Elvie pumps and have a few complaints but overall reaaaaallly enjoy having wearables as an option. I too experience some leakage but honestly only if I am moving too much (like taking them on a walk outside lol or if I'm doing household tasks and bending over. I have never had any issues with mine containing dust particles on the suction part - I **do** sometimes get water in that area, but I just always make sure it's completely dry before I start pumping.

Thread: "HELP. Can't decide between Willow Go and Elvie Stride!"

I used the spectra s2 exclusively for the first 60 days post partum and then the Elvie pump for the past 30 days. I had the Elvie pump from the get go but wasn’t sure if my insurance would reimburse the entire amount (they did-$600) so I didn’t touch it until I received the check. Anyways, I love the Spectra but I love the Elvie pump even more! It’s easy to personalize the settings, not many parts to wash, convenient (no wires), it’s quiet and effective. I would say it probably doesn’t work as strong as the Spectra s2 but it’s really close to the point that I now exclusively use the Elvie. I only pump 1-2x a day but when I am out and about on weekends or socializing, I’ve used it for 2-3 days straight and I always yield 3-4 ounces for each breast (my LO is 3 months). I can go 4 uses for an average of 20 minutes before the red light displays. It comes with two flange sizes which one worked for me and I didn’t have to purchase more. I love that you can store the milk directly in the catchers for easy travel needs as it comes with a 2nd set of catchers. The best part is I can use my breastfeeding bras instead of pumping bras (not as comfortable and bf bras have more support). Happy to answer any questions!

Momcozy m5 is fine when it works. It was my primary pump for 2 weeks so I probably overused it and the motor died one week in. Its replacement also died a week later. I am using Elvie pump now and so far only have minimal complaints. My two complaints are that the parts connect a little flimsily so my fingers get covered in milk when I take it apart and the pump occasionally leaks if I lean forward too much. The pump is also louder than the momcozy m5. In all I prefer the Elvie pump bc of its comfort (the breast cushions are nice) and so far the motors haven’t died on me yet which is a huge win. I do own a spectra but I NEVER get the same output from it as I do my wearables and it also depresses me to be chained to it while pumping.

Thread: "What are the best Wearable pumps?!"

Ugh I have the exact same problem with the CaraCups duck bills! It worked great the first couple weeks, but they slide off every time now and I’m too frustrated with it… So, now I am currently trying to decide if I want to spring for a Willow Go or a Willow 360 (the Willow 3.0 rebranded)… My baby is only 2 months old so I’ve only been pumping around 6 weeks. I currently have the Spectra Synergy Gold Portable and I do really like it and I love that I can pick it up and move around instead of being stuck to the wall; but I am finding the tubes and the fact that you do have to hold it (without it having a convenient way to carry it around) pretty limiting because I end up with my hands full and can’t bend over or tend to my baby or chores how I’d like to. My hesitation with Willow is that I’ve only seen the negative reviews for the 360… but I’ve only looked on their website and here so far. I love the idea of the freedom the 360 could provide instead of having to be careful not to spill bending in the Go… but it sounds like it’s a pain to get to actually work right. And I fear that if I get the Go, I will still have the same, or similar, limitations as the Spectra Synergy Gold Portable in terms of not being able to move freely without spilling…. The prices of each are so ridiculously expensive that the idea of purchasing either one and hating it / it stop working / being frustrating / etc. is holding me back, and I’m not sure I can justify the price tag.
