We started with dr browns narrow based on IBCLC recommendation but switched to evenflo because I felt like the wide nipple would help him practice opening wide so he would latch better. Might be coincidence but he did start latching better after we switched.

We were big fans of Lansinoh/Pigeon. Narrow Dr. Browns was the other we did. Go for slow flow and the nipple should pass the “triangle test” to help with latch

My baby only took the narrow Dr. browns bottle. The vents are a pain in the ass to clean though

If the nipple passes the "triangle test," meaning the nipple is in the shape of a triangle, it will encourage a deep latch and promote strong oral development. Evenflo Balance, Dr. Brown's narrow, Lansinoh, Pigeon, NUK perfect match are a few.

My IBCLC said it was important that the nipple allows for a proper latch for oral development. There’s lots of bottles that allow for a proper latch and don’t encourage shallow latching. Dr browns (the narrow ones, not the wide bottles), Lansinoh, pigeon, nuk perfect match, gulicola, evenflo balance (wide and classic), spectra, munchkin bond, boon curve (not the regular one), quark and there’s more. We use a mix of Lansinoh, pigeon and spectra

Is it bad that I see Dr Brown's recommended everywhere yet am in Dr Brown's Denial because I keep reading about all the parts to wash haha. I hear its worse than Mam!
Thread: "I really need a solid bottle recommendation for reflux baby!"
Seconding Dr Browns. We washed everything in the dishwasher, which made the extra parts no big deal. If you have a third rack, the small parts can go on the top, or you can get a parts basket to contain it all.

Dr Browns narrow come in glass! Reduces the worries around plastic. The little parts wash quick if you soak them in soapy water throughout the day as you use bottles.

My baby also won’t take any pacifier, and will only take the lansinoh bottles. They have a very gradual slope and she’s able to get a beautiful latch with them even with a moderate upper lip tie. She’s 5 months old and we still use the slow flow nipple. I don’t think we will ever size up. We also tried the narrow dr browns and evenflo balance wide. Both were also great, she just prefers the lansinoh. She goes from breast to bottle with no issues.

Speech pathologist recommended Dr. Browns narrow. She said you want a nipple that the baby has to suck to get liquid, like the breast. Many nipples release liquid by baby clamping down or chomping.

We used these as well, unless he was teething. He refused wide neck bottles when teething so we used the narrow Dr. Brown’s. Once his teeth cut through, he went back to the Evenflo wide necks just fine.
