Thread: "glass baby bottles vs plastic or silicone?"
We used Phillips Avent glass without any problems, and later switched to Dr. Brown’s glass when we were dealing with gassiness. If you end up using formula, I found it super helpful to premix a batch for the day in a pitcher for the fridge— Bormioli Rocco makes a glass one with a lid that seals.

Thread: "Bottle recommendations for breastfed baby?"
I’m going to add this as a recommendation, but also a reminder. My first refused boob after his first bottle (latch issues, plus I didn’t know about using premie nipples-this was over a decade ago). Second absolutely refused any kind of bottle whatsoever. Tried so many and he just absolutely would not. He was just a boob monster. Third has absolutely no issue with Dr. Brown’s glass bottles plus premise nipple. Literally no problems, likes either just the same, doesn’t mind other people feeding her. All in all: each kid is totally different. Don’t stress because someone’s recommendation doesn’t work for you. You will find the right one for your baby!

Dr Brown’s over here! We have one plastic one and it leaks often, but we have 8 glass ones and they have never leaked, so I prefer the glass. Also, the green part inside of any Options + bottle is considered optional, so if your baby is older or isn’t struggling with excessive gas, you can remove it. We removed them after 10-12 weeks and it cut down so much washing time lol

you can also email Evenflo customer service from their website and they’ll sell you the nipple collars and caps for the Evenflo balance bottles so you don’t have to buy all the plastic bottles. They charged me $1 each and it was super simple. I did this, bought dr browns glass and evenflo balance standard nipples and really like the combo. dr browns glass is also great in their own but cleaning all the pieces sucks.
The avent bottles have been solid and sturdy. I have had zero issues with this bottle and no breaking.

I used plastic with my first and glass with my second and tbh I prefer the glass. We switched because we were concerned about PFAS and microplastics, but honestly I like the feel of them better. We use Dr browns glass with a silicone sleeve.

i love the dr brown glass ones compared to the plastic ones. they don't leak as much. i wish i had switched sooner but yeah it would've been strange feeding a newborn out of them. they're huge haha. so we probably switched around 8mo too

The Philips Avent rings and nipples actually fit on these bottles - you have to press them down a bit to screw on, but it works.

Thread: "What is your experience with glass baby bottles?"
Loved Dr. Brown's glass bottles. One random perk: they warm much faster than plastic because glass carries the heat better. They wash well, feel sturdy. Never really was that concerned about breaking them. My babies weren't really ever all that interested in holding the bottles themselves, and after age 1, he either got a bottle from us or was given a straw cup to try to drink from; we weren't really giving him the bottles...

Really? We never had that problem and used them for three kids. I hope the quality hasn’t changed!

I use the glass Dr Browns but just take out the green anti-colic thing.
