Thread: "Bottle recommendations? NOT Dr Browns Anti Colic"

I have about 15 dr browns bottles and if they ever leaked it was because I didn’t tighten the caps down enough or sometimes I didn’t pull the nipple all the way into the cap 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can’t recommend another bottle because we tried probably 5 and dr browns was the clear winner

We love them! Pro (but kind of scammy) tip - if you have a target registry, the doc brown bottle comes in their welcome package (get it in-person at the customer service desk). Go to the desk and ask for your sign-up box and they’ll give it to you and most of the time they’ll just hand you a bag without looking up your name. We may have gone back ~5 times for the welcome box. Now we have lots of doc brown bottles... but you didn’t hear it from me!

Same for ours with the Dr. Brown’s. She’s 11 weeks more and we moved her to the transition sized nipples. They have more flow than the premie but less than size 1. We still pace feed. Husband gives a pumped breast milk bottle in the morning while I snooze a little longer!

Ha! We had to move down a nipple size at first. But agree. Dr browns worked for us

I was told by a doctor that apparently anti colic bottles are a marketing tactic and that there’s no such thing as an anti colic bottle. Not sure how true that is. However, different bottles work for different babies. We tried a NUK anti colic bottle, the dr browns bottles and the MAAM bottles. Hated the NUK, dr browns makes him choke on the long nipple and he loves the MAAM. I like the self sanitation option. When I was at my dad’s for a dinner I was able to wash the bottle quick sanitizer it in the microwave and serve him another bottle in it. I guess they’d be handy for travel or camping with that option! I’ve heard good things about the Phillip advent bottles from people as well.

Thread: "Please share your bottle refusal success stories!"

I just made a post about this over the weekend . My baby was happily taking a bottle 2-3x a week until she got sick and I had to administer antibiotics and we just decided to nurse . Then when we tried to give her a bottle 3 weeks later she outright refused . It’s extremely stressful. We read through some of the advice here and we decided to try a disposable enfamil rubber nipple screwed onto a dr browns bottle …. Success ! And we can re use then a few times before throwing them out and they can be bought in bulk on Amazon . It’s worth a try
