We’ve had no issues with Dr. browns anticolic bottles.

Same. I learned not to overfill them AND not to warm them with the nipple set up on the bottle.

OP, please visit the Dr. Browns website. There are specific instructions listed there to avoid leakage, that include more than just tightening the caps. If you follow the instructions, they won’t leak!!!😃

Every piece has to snap together all the way, and the biggest one I find I do wrong is the actual lid that the nipple sits in. Either I don’t have the nipple sitting in totally correctly or I screwed the top onto the bottle in a way where it looks like it fits, but it actually is a little loose. If you can see any of the track that the bottle top uses to screw onto the bottle, it’s not on all the way. That’s at least what I’ve noticed. I in fact literally just made that mistake like 30 minutes ago 🤪 hope that helps. They are truly pain in the ass bottles. I was praying my baby wouldn’t like them, but alas here we are. 😅

I have a love/hate with Dr browns. Love them because of baby having less gas and the narrow nipple. Hate them for the leaking. It has been trial and error for us and found the biggest issue was flow of the nipple. https://www.drbrownsbaby.com/customer-support/why-are-my-bottles-leaking/

Yeah not really sure what suggestions to give when the issue is user error

We use these too and just use size 1 nipples to prevent bottle preference.

      Thread: "Should I buy bottles?"

Another reason to have bottles I haven’t seen mentioned: vitamins. Basically, all BF babies need vitamin drops, but some babies like my kid will need a multivitamin with IRON and it would be so bitter to shoot it down her throat without being mixed in with milk in a bottle. As far as what kind: advent natural, dr browns anti colic, and nanobebe are all designed to be close to the natural shape of the nipple while nursing. I received Dr brown bottles in Amazon and target gift bags, and some one bought me the nanobebe silicone bottles(not the ones that look boob shaped) (Also, you can use the dr browns w/o all the little parts because most anti colic bottles don’t do much to reduce gas anyway,.) Just focus on nipple shape and get stage 1/slow flow nipples to better mimic nursing.

Thread: "Baby bottles glass vs plastic"

we did glass, they just seemed lots easier to clean too and we had an UV steriliser. our baby however hates all bottles but the ones we had mild success with were lanisoh, dr browns anti colic and tommee tippee natural start

      Thread: "Boon nursh bottle reviews"

I have some narrow Dr. brown bottles from my first baby that are NOT the options+ bottles. I was using them with my daughter and had just bought new nipples but they were leaking like crazy and a ton of milk was getting sucked into the straw. I decided to get the Dr. Brown’s Options+ wide neck ones just to see how she might like them and she LOVES them! They aren’t leaking, no milk in the straw…they’ve been great. She usually drinks about 5-6oz and the 5 oz once have been perfect. Definitely recommend the Options Dr. Browns over the plain anti-colic with the tan vents.
