Seconding buying it used. That's how I got mine, and my little one loves it.

I’ve had a few bouncers and the baby Bjorn was the best. I got it for $70 second hand and sold it again for the same price, I would keep looking for a second hand one.

It’s amazing. My LO is older now so we don’t use it but I loved it for when he was little! Pricey but we used it everyday.
Thread: "Baby Bjorn Bouncer?"
I just got it for my 6-week old and it's AMAZING. I can finally eat a meal or just chill for a bit without having to hold the baby.

I bought mine used and honestly feel we would have been fine with any comparable bouncer. My daughter tolerates it. It’s not a magical product in terms of resolving gas/poops like I’ve seen claimed all over Reddit. Not at all getting why people are so specifically hyped about the Bjorn.. besides the obvious obsession over Scandinavian baby brands lol
Thread: "BabyBjorn bouncer or off brand"
I have used the BabyBjorn bouncer and some really cheap bouncers, but not the Baby Delight. The BabyBjorn really is way, way better than the regular cheap bouncers. It’s much easier to bounce and the baby can get it going themselves without much effort. Cheap bouncers just don’t have much motion. It’s night and day. We are still using the BB at 9 months because you can adjust it to sit up more but the cheap ones wouldn’t be useful anymore because they lay too flat. An example of the cheap bouncer I’m talking about would be the Bright Starts one. The Baby Delight one looks a lot closer to the BB one so it might be just as good. The fabric on the BB is washable, so we got ours used. If you can’t find one for a good price, I’d do the Baby Delight. Babylist says it’s a good dupe of the BB so I’d be willing to give it a shot.

Oh yes I can't remember how old he was but once he was strong enough and figured out how he would go absolutely nuts in that thing lol. He'd do this like hip thrust kick motion and would've bounced himself across the room if he wasn't strapped in. The funniest thing was how disappointed he'd be when put in the stroller or car seat because they don't bounce

Yes is the short answer. I can sell you an old one for £5 if you collect it from me in Scotland 😅

Also it’s not a huge pain in the ass to get on and off like some stuff like that

Try Rebelstork! I regularly see discounted babybjorn bouncers.
Thread: "Baby Bjorn Bouncer?"
To add to this, many people sell on fb marketplace for a lot less. You can just wash the cover where you baby will lay.
Thread: "Is the Baby Bjorn bouncer really that good?"
Omg the first time we had to wash it and he couldn’t go in it because we didn’t have a backup fabric was roughhhhh lol
Thread: "Baby Bjorn Bouncer?"
Blegh, I got this chair for this very reason because at the time, she wasn't pooping on a regular basis. Turns out rolling her in the stroller into the kitchen while i got stuff done was the real laxative. We still call it the poop chair though, and we don't regret the purchase. Lmao

It is 100% worth it and our most used baby item. My LO is 5m and we use it multiple times a day. It’s the only way we can put him down without him getting mad. I only wish you got it before 3mo. My baby can sit in his high chair now, but he still prefers the bouncer because he can bounce himself now.

but why is it better than a $30 non-babybjorn version? That's what no one who has it can answer. I want someone who has the babybjorn bouncer but also a cheap fisher price ish one to tell me why one is better than the other lol. I just don't understand why bouncer chair is a category where the $200 one is better than the $30 one... anyone?! edit: I asked because I have the dupe for it ([baby delight](https://a.co/d/5czVEap)) which someone bought off my registry for $89, still expensive in my opinion, but my baby vastly prefers this [bright starts](https://a.co/d/ffPDPu1) one which is currently $22 on Amazon. The seat seems to be no different or less comfortable than the baby delight, the buckle is easier to remove her from, it's way lighter and easier to move around the house, and she prefers the toys on it
Thread: "Is the Baby Bjorn bouncer really that good?"
We used to call it the poop chair.

Twin mom here! Yes, it is. We had one Babybjorn (bought off FB marketplace) and a swing. Both my twins hated the swing. I caved and bought a new Babybjorn bouncer shortly after. We traveled and used a Fischer price bouncer and did it work yes. But it was more for containment. I’m not sure if they necessarily liked being in that bouncer though.

My 12 week old LOVES it with the toy bar! He's been enjoying bouncing around in it since about 6 weeks. It's also great for when mama (and dada) need a few hands-free minutes.
Thread: "Babybjorn bouncer… is it worth it?"
My baby loves it and I even bought the toy bar which keeps her entertained for a good bit. I also call this the poop chair because every time my girl is in it shes able to poop. I got it at a discount from Rebel Stork. They sell a lot of open box items.

I am seriously considering getting a second so I don’t have to move ours up and downstairs I know some people don’t rate them but I would say 3/4 of the people I know with babies love them
Thread: "Are the baby bjorn bouncers really worth it?"
I think it's just like the Stokke high chair where there are cheaper copies but people prefer the brand. Someone in my mother's group has the Kmart one and it makes her baby poo the same way my BabyBjorn does!
Thread: "Is the BabyBjorn Bouncer worth it?"
We stopped using it as much right around 4 months because baby just kept curling forward -- that's when their upper abs get stronger than their lower abs, so baby doesn't just hang out and chill like before.
Thread: "Baby Bjorn Bouncer?"
We referred to ours as the blowout chair!! Our first looooved being in there.
Thread: "Baby Bjorn bouncer"
I didn’t have one for the same reason and at six months my baby still loves his alternative bouncer (a Mamas and Papas one from marketplace). One of the toys on the toy bar he’s had an eternal obsession with. Maybe he’d have liked the BabyBjorn one more, maybe not but we don’t know and our £20 marketplace one has been amazing for us anyway so I have no regrets not buying it. When I bought it I thought I’d sell it on again when I was done but I’m honestly considering storing it instead in case we have a second because it’s been such a hit.
Thread: "Is the Baby Bjorn bouncer really that good?"
Same! My LO hated it too. I'm glad we were gifted it as a hand me down because even when we tried multiple times, it always caused an instant meltdown. 🥲

I bought mine off of FBMP! I set a personal spend limit and held out until I found one at that price or someone willing to take it
Thread: "Babybjorn bouncer… is it worth it?"
Mine loved it before he could crawl much too, he would happily watch me go about my business from it and then bounce himself to sleep for a little nap (supervised of course)
Thread: "Is the BabyBjorn Bouncer worth it?"
Ha! I got mine on Gumtree for £10 and it is absolutely worth the money spent 🤪

I bought both and used them side by side. Baby delight is very close to babybjorn. There some differences but they very minor and not worth the huge price difference.

We use ours several times a day, every day. I don’t want to think of how ours days would look without it. definitely recommend if you can swing it!
Thread: "Is the babybjorn bouncer worth it?"
We got ours second hand and love it. Ultimately it's going depend on whether your baby takes to it, but ours loves it and it's so so handy having somewhere safe and secure to put the baby for 5+ minutes.
Thread: "Babybjorn bouncer… is it worth it?"
Babybjorn saved me. It was only thing baby was happy in so I could take a shower. Its Light enough you can easily carry it around the house (I even took it to therapy once) and my baby loves it to this day (hes 6mo today!) We bought it second hand through vinted though, it came in prestine condition and if the cover ever looks too worn out, they can be purchased separately and it will still be massively cheaper than buying a new one.
Thread: "Is the Baby Bjorn bouncer really that good?"
For me it was absolutely worth it. I was able to get one second hand though but even at full price I would purchase again.

She started using it @ 2 months and still uses it at almost 6 months. She hasn’t grown out of it yet.
Thread: "Babybjorn bouncer… is it worth it?"
We were gifted ours. My son grew out of it around 8 months, but it was so nice carrying it around the house if I needed to shower, clean dishes, get ready. It’s also great to bring outside and have the baby get some fresh air. I donated his but I’ll be repurchasing when the time comes for another baby…

Our little baby Selene loves her baby bouncer. I put her in it while I shower and she can hang out in the bathroom with me. Pro tip: you can clip some toys the strap in part using some of those plastic toy chain links.
Thread: "Is the babybjorn bouncer worth it?"
It was the one thing we weren’t planning to buy but the lady in John Lewis did her salesperson thing on us! Zero regrets, it’s meant me and my husband have been able to eat dinner together every night and our baby is 3 months old now, we pop her in the bouncer, bounce her with a foot and she is happy. It’s the only place she’s always content! And is finally big enough to be bouncing herself.
Thread: "Is the Baby Bjorn bouncer really that good?"
Lending it out is great advice. We live in a nice high-rise. And we have an awesome neighbor with a toddler who is having her second. She asked if our baby was still using her bassinet. Nope; we just transitioned. Take it for however long you need it!! Every square foot helps! Will likely offer up the bouncy in a few months when ours won't need it.
Thread: "Is the Baby Bjorn bouncer really that good?"
I loved it! I got it from a friend who passes her things around to new moms! If she doesn’t have it when I decide to have a second baby I would definitely look secondhand, but I’d also be willing to buy one new as well. My baby loved it, he never liked tummy time or laying down, so the fact he could be sitting up to look around he did like. I could clean, cook, eat, bring him to sit in the bathroom with me, sit by the shower, etc. then he learned to bounce and would bounce himself and laugh haha. Slipcover is easy to wash, I dried it by putting it back on and air drying over night. Once he learned to sit up he lost interest 🤷 but it was great for many months and I think for our budget it’s worth the $100!

My sister got the baby bjorn for her shower and gifted a dupe. Idk if it’s coincidence but he screams in the dupe and loves the baby bjorn. If you’re into thrifted things, check FB! They have a short life span
