Baby Buddha 100%, it is hospital grade, stronger than the spectra (if you need it) and you can be completely mobile easily while using it. Babygearlab has a good recent review about it. Some people had issues with the strong suction on the 1.0 version, but I heard they fixed that with the 2.0!

I have the baby Buddha 2.0 and feel like the suction at its lowest level is still very strong compared to the spectra s1 pump. I’m glad I had the s1 in the beginning of my pumping journey as my nipples were very sensitive, and I don’t think I could have handled the baby Buddha. However, now I only use the baby Buddha to pump bc it allows me to move around more easily when I’m watching my mobile baby while pumping.

I hated it! There’s many pumps that are “portable” but not “wearable” like Baby Buddha and ones like that, where there is tubing but the pump itself is like a small remote, and for me, that was the best of both worlds - good suction and easy to move around with. When I was truly on the go, I preferred bringing a manual pump with me (the Medela Harmony) - that way I wasn’t at the whims of needing a ton of equipment or setup, I could just throw it in my purse.

Keep in mind the in bra types of hands free, for pretty much everyone, won't empty you and won't work well enough to use as your main pump! Baby Buddha is highly recommended in the exclusively pumping sub, and can be a main pump! Also be sure that you are using the correct flange size (measure after you have baby) as that can make a big difference with output.

I too have both the S1 and the Buddha 2.0, I could only use my S1 for the first 3 months because the suction on the Buddha, even on the lowest setting, was too painful for me as a first time mom. Now that I can handle the suction strength, the S1 is still my preferred pump. But the Buddha is a great pump!!
Since I have large breasts (42G pre-pregnancy), the Buddha is still a stationary pump because a good pumping bra for my size does not exist. Not even the kindred can support all the equipment plus the heaviness from engorgement and my milk. However, I’ve seen a few influencers with smaller breasts wear their Buddha with ease.
If you have a registry or the budget, I would recommend adding a wearable pump (with cups) to help with MOTN pumps so you can sleep while it does its thing. Those pumps also come in handy when you’re out of the house for longer stretches of time or just need something more discreet. A friend gifted one to me and it’s been a lifesaver.

Anything with the collection cups should not be a primary pump, they just cannot get the milk out the same and almost everyone has supply issues if they try this route. The great thing about the baby buddha or the PGA is that you can use basically any flanges/cups with them, I used my spectra flanges/parts because that's what I was used to and I liked them. But you could totally do that most of the time and then purchase some collection cups like legendairy milk collection cups for example and use those occasionally when you need to be really mobile where people don't even see the cups, so it just gives you more options. Highly depends on your intended use. Occasional bottle for a babysitter kind after establishing breastfeeding, you can get away with a hand pump. Need help initiating milk supply because baby won’t latch well or wrong drain you. You needs something like a spectra or Medela Symphony. Spectra is only available in the US btw. Need convenience, wearables are great but many lack power. You don’t want to count on them to maintain a supply. I started with a rented Medela symphony. Ended up buying the baby buddha. I like the pump but don’t like the parts. I used a hack and i use my Symphony parts with the baby buddha pump.

I have the original Baby Buddha and I highly recommend it! I also have the wearable Momcozy one and it's ok for on the go or when I want to be hands-free, but I find it takes much longer.
