Avent glass is my favorite. Definitely splurge for Dapple soap though, makes getting milk or formula off bottles a breeze.

Thread: "Never buy glass baby bottles"
That sounds very stressful! I personally wouldn’t use the milk that in the chipped bottle, to error on the side of caution. And I likely would check my bottle going forward before use and if it was reoccurring, change brand (as well as send a strongly worded email with feedback). We use avent glass and have never had an issue. On to second bubs now as well. Perhaps it is the type of bottle? Editing to add: considering the size of a nipple hole, anything that fits through likely won’t be large enough to do any damage. It likely would block the hole in the first instance. I think straining as others suggest is an option but more work than I’d do. And I’m a just enougher/under supplier.

We avoid plastic bottles as well. We also avoid heating any plastics for ourselves for this reason. I hand wash anything plastic instead of using dishwasher. I think there is enough evidence out there besides the specific article you mention to avoid plastic bottles for kids, especially if you heat them for feeds or sanitizing. the FDA banned BPA in baby bottles over a decade ago because evidence of harm. And BPA is hardly the only component in plastic that could potentially have impacts on human body. I think Emily Oster is great and right in that there are so many things to worry about and you only can do so much. We are all resilient. You have to choose what works for you and your family. We use filtered water for formula not boiled as example. For us avent glass is great. Bottles go in dishwasher for sanitizing. Then nipples get a bleach solution every other washing.
I also have used the glass Avent bottles. Two babies in, they haven’t broken unless we’ve dropped them from high up onto a hard tile. Otherwise, they’ve lasted 2 years. They don’t have the triangle nipple though but neither of my babies have had any issues with the nipple. Also, I like the various nipple flow options.

Thread: "Phillips avent bottles good or bad?"
We use Avent (glass) bottles, but use Evenflo Balance Wide nipples. They fit right on the Avent ring and they promote a deeper latch, which is important, especially if nursing at all. Only reason we use the Avent bottle is because the Evenflo glass bottles are pretty much impossible to find. Evenflo sells a 6 pack of nipples on Amazon. I despise Dr. Brown’s. Way too many pieces.

I really love [Chicco Bottles](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093TN114N?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_k4_1_8&=&crid=14OUPKGCM40QH&=&sprefix=chicco+n) but my little doesn't mind any bottle besides Lansinoh - she hated those. We also use Avent glass and Nuk glass.
