Thread: "What are the best Wearable pumps?!"

I feel like this is hard to answer. Because they're so expensive, most people have ever only tried 1 or 2. For me, the Baby Buddha is the best portable pump, but the cups are a PITA to clean. The Willow 3.0 is so far working much better for me than the Elvie OG. But if you get the Elvie from Costco, you can actually return it.

Thread: "Best hands free pump? Willow, momcozy, or Elvie?"

I am going to go with the Elvie - was considering Willow 3.0 but I don't want to freeze milk in plastic bags. From all the reviews I've read it seems like the Elvie is supposed to be the most discreet as far as noise levels but physically apparent that you are wearing pumps?

Thread: "What’s the strongest wearable pump?"

I also use the Willow go as my primary pump and have been able to slowly increase my supply so that I no longer need to supplement! I also have the willow 3.0 which I don’t like. I think the reason it’s supposed to not be your primary pump is the motors. From what I’ve read they can last a year or so doing 3 15 minute pumps per day. I currently do 7-8 25 minute pumps, and 1 or 2 power pumps, so I’m sure I’m going to have to replace them, but I don’t mind they are so convenient.

Thread: "Which are ur fave portable breast pump???"

I’ve never heard the distinction between wearable and portable until this comment thread. I had the blue spectra you’re talking about and def wouldn’t call it portable! I mean sure, portable in the sense that you’re not tethered to an outlet, but not like “going about my on-foot, walking-all-over shift at work” or “cleaning the house” portable

Thread: "HELP. Can't decide between Willow Go and Elvie Stride!"

The Willow 3.0 and Willow Go have completely different suction patterns. The 3.0 attaches to the nipple while the Go is similar to the Spectra. I got the Spectra SG after hearing such great things about Spectra but that suction does not work for me. I probably had to modify it but the Willow 3.0 and Medela Pump in Style Maxflow worked great for me. So the Go sounds like it would be a good fit for you.

Thread: "Pros and Cons of Willow Pumps vs Elvie??"

I have both. Got the Willow 3.0 and felt like my nipples were being ripped to shreds. They are also huge ( I’m a 34c and I feel as if I look super deformed with them on.) also the flip to empty is a learning curve and I lost so much milk. The pieces are finicky too. Mine started air gulping a few weeks in and getting customer service to send me part replacements was a pain in the neck. Also, for the amount of pain they caused you’d think they’d empty you better. I bought an elvie OG after the above fail. They still don’t empty me completely, but are WAY more comfortable and way less of a learning curve to use. They are also WAY quieter. Also, I look more like Dolly Parton when wearing them instead of a deformed hot mess. The parts are easier to clean even though there are more of them. The app also does a better estimate with collected volume over the Willow. Also, i burnt a hole in my elvie container when it fell in the dishwasher and customer service PROMPTLY sent me a replacement container. I would recommend Elvie over Willow.
