  • Spacious design accommodates larger infants comfortably
  • Breathable materials enhance safety and comfort
  • Bassinet insert adds versatility for younger babies

Cons (−)

  • Setup can be more complicated than some competitors
  • Heavier than other travel cribs, making transport less convenient
  • Some alternatives are easier to handle and set up

Why parents like it

Parents appreciate the spaciousness of the Newton travel crib, which allows their growing children to sleep comfortably. The breathable materials and bassinet insert are also frequently highlighted as beneficial features.

Common complaints

Some parents find that the setup process can be more complicated compared to other travel cribs. A few also mention that while it is a solid choice, alternatives like the Remi offer easier handling.

Thread: "Travel crib no pack n play"

We got the Newton travel crib because it’s the largest on the market and our daughter was just too big/rolling around for the pack and play. She did seem to like it better.

May I ask why you didn’t use the crib? Did she just prefer to sleep in the travel crib?

The Newton travel crib is the biggest so that’s what we got. Keep in mind that they make two sizes, you want the bigger more expensive one.

My 15 month old sleeps in a newton travel crib! I recommend it to everyone. Her real crib has been unused and taking up space for a year and a half 😂

Thread: "Thoughts on using a travel crib (like the newton or guava lotus) as a transition between bassinet and crib?"

Mine has been in the Newton since 10 months, still is. He sleeps better in it then a crib, so we will stay in it till we switch to a floor bed.

Thread: "How do you travel with a 1 year old? Portable crib?"

Yes, I also read about the hazards of adding a mattress and that is exactly why we got the newton travel crib which I think is similar to the lotus. The mattress is not too thin imo and while it might be thin for us they are not as heavy as us and don't need such a thick mattress like we do.

This worked for us! And it’s on the ground so if you need to breastfeed side laying in the middle of the night it’s perfect!

We love the Baby Biorn travel crib! The Newton one was my second choice, but the BB had slightly taller sides which was important to me for longevity.

Ahh yes, thank you! The bigger size is another one of the reasons I was thinking of the newton, especially for overnight sleep, when he's used to his crib, I thought it might be less or a transition.

I love our newton travel crib with the bassinet insert, and it has everything you are looking for as well. It works amazing for flying as well, and it goes in as checked luggage. The bassinet attachment is also large so if you have like me, bigger babies, it is ideal!

I agree, the newton travel crib is our favorite thing as well, and we have not had any troubles traveling with it and we do it pretty often.
